Ohio State's bad passer is the Big Ten's 1st Team QB for 2016. How can that be when 4 of the top 7 teams in the country are Big Ten teams? Easy, because the Big 10 has 0 standout qbs in terms of passing that are ranked.

Answer: stats don't win football games, leaders win football games.

Since Big Ten teams are #2. #5, #6 and #7 in the country. BTW the QB is only 1 of 22 starters, not even counting the kicker, punter and long snapper, making it 25. You have heard of Urban harp on his belief that it takes 9 groups strong to win? The QB group being one of the 9. JT is 7-1 against ranked opponents. In those games completed 125 of 207 for 1462 yds, 15 TDs 3 INTs. Rushed for 8 TDs, 695 yds on 147 carries 4.7/carry(sack yds come out of total), a total of 23 TDs

JT has regressed quite a bit without a doubt in the passing game.

doesn't mean he is perfect
everyone has warts
i wouldn't trade Barrett for anyone but he does struggle in the passing game at times, it is what it is...i'd still take him over Watson every day of the week and twice on Saturdays
Clemson has a pretty good defensive line. We are going to have to throw the ball against them effectively to win that game. Should be a fantastic game, looking forward to seeing our DBs vs Watson, and our O-line in general. I love our chances in this game. We own the Fiesta Bowl. Columbus Ohio WEST.

Vegas got a line on the game yet?.....lol Gotta think J.T.'s best is ahead of him and what we have grown to expect from Urban's Buckeye teams, the Buckeyes are about to play their best football as well.

Ohio State favored by 3.5 More bad news for Tommy and Rambo. Did you see the end of the Playoff Special on ESPN? They're calling JT the next Head Coach at Ohio State. It's gonna be hard to pull a 2014 this year. None of the other 3 dare think of OSU as a joke. I see that Saban just blamed the loss to Ohio State in 2014 on working his team to hard before the playoffs. Even with a bad QB, I couldn't be happier at this point. Truthfully, who in their right mind thought Ohio State would make the Four Team Playoff with the youngest team in the country? Except those inside The Woody, the only ones who matter.

it appears Corey Smith's recovery from injury was further behind than people thought. The Buckeyes need Corey to be available and productive along with Noah Brown, who got the season off to a promising start and has since, quietly slipped into relative obscurity. Isiah Prince is continuing his on the job training, at a slower than needed pace. Let's hope the 26 days will allow all of these guys to emerge in Arizona, ready to contribute their best football.

Pat Elflein bucked the trend of many Buckeyes last year by electing to return for his senior season. That decision has paid off with a huge bevy of awards added to his illustrious resume'.
All-American Elflein, was given the Big Ten Lineman of the Year award, has now been named the nations top center-snapper by winning the prestigious Rimington Award.

Luke Fickle is in negotiations to be the new head coach at the University of Cincinnati. Also rumored that CB coach Kerry Coombs is going with him as his D-coordinator. Greg Schiano could be the next head coach at South Florida.

If, "All good coaches would be losing." Then why isn't Saban or Meyer losing?

Supposed to say "all good coaches, could be leaving" spell check gets me a lot. Coombs and Meyer announced Coombs will be back next year.

Massive OL Malcom Pridgeon (6-8 324) has been recuperating from an August knee injury, finally lost his black stripe and will be full go for Clemson. This could be a huge boost to an often problematic pass protection, most often from the right tackle position.
Malcom's re-emergence will be one to watch and how it intertwines with line assignments. Most certainly, he will see some rotational involvement, and even perhaps plugged in as the right tackle to spell Isaiah Prince. One way or another, this is good news for a Buckeye offense, that is facing a formidable defensive front from Clemson.

Wonder how many times Filly is going to remind us that this is the youngest team in the country? Over under is set at 10.

Redshirt was the plan for Pridgeon, but situations and needs change. As far as I know, the redshirt idea is now off the table and they are making plans for his return in this vital game.

I get that Prince has been a turnstile at RT but trying to plug and play Pridgeon after he's missed all season with an injury? That's a hell of a tall order to ask even for a JUCO kid. Yes, he has all of bowl practices and he's a juco kid but it's a big *** leap to go from Nassau community college to playing Clemson in your first game.

I guess none of us yet know what game plans may be concerning the utilization and rotation of the OL might be at this point. Lest we forget Isaiah is a true sophomore at a position that is traditionally served by upper classmen. Consequently, it is a little unfair to get down on the kid too hard at this point. Pridgeon will be an interesting study, come game time. My guess is, if he does see PT against Clemson, it will be in limited, situational capacity.

Prince has been playing the majority of the season with a bum ankle. Off-season surgery wouldn't shock me. The time off should help tremendously.

The kid has taken a lot of flack this year and Urban and the staff have refrained from being too critical, showing patience and guidance in his development. I think he will become a solid down lineman and no longer be the topic of offense discussions.

Seems the rumor Torrance Gibson signed a LOI with Mississippi Gulfcoast Community College may not be quite accurate. According to Urban Meyer, nothing has been finalized yet and he once again, expressed his love for this kid. Hopefully things can be resolved and we might see Torrance back in a Buckeye uniform in the spring.

Five Ohio State commits were named to the USA Today High School 1st team All-American Team.
QB Tate Martel and DB Shaun Wade were named Offensive and Defensive players of the year. O-linemen Josh Meyers and Wyatt Davis and place kicker Blake Haubel were also named as First Stringers.

Just enjoyed watching a replay of OSU scUM game. Two things stand out: 1st OSU defense was generally outstanding and 2nd Hairball is the biggest crybaby and immature loser coach in college fb.
