and just for the record i think there's a good chance when all is said and done that Matt Baldwin is the starter next year If not you'll be complaining again.

Haskins will be the first B1G qb selected in the first round since ‘95. Unreal

Tate Martell has just submitted his name to the transfer portal. So, it appears we loose two QB's wihin days of each other.

An indication the Martell feels the Fields is the better QB and will be ruled eligible for the 2019 season. I guess that's my take on it. Just last week he was talking like he was confident he looked forward to and would arise to the challenge, stating he would win the competition.

He hasn’t transferred yet. You are allowed to be in the transfer portal without transferring

Martell recently tweeted, "word of advice: don't swing and miss... especially not your second time." Many supposed this was a veiled response to Fields potential transfer to tOSU last month. I guess Tate will now have to take his own advice.

I would say he will get his options decided in advance, awaiting Justin Fields 2019 eligibility decision from the NCAA. If Fields is denied, Tate stays. The worst scenario would be the loss of the services of both QB's next year. In that event, don't see Ohio State going with a redshirt freshman behind center. A fifth year transfer would be the most likely scenario.

I to think Fields won't be denied. The NCAA is moving closer and closer to allowing transfers at any time for no reason and allowing the transferee to play without sitting out. Mayhem.

Not only that, but the very subject matter of the case presented by Fields, screams major lawsuit if denied. The NCAA attorneys will make that fact known to their decision makers very quickly.

the kid was racially slurred, it has nothing to do with mayhem, no one in that hearing is going to say he thinks Fields didn't feel threatened...the kid who slurred him was kicked out of school

One could easily understand the threat of retaliatory violence is real, even though the accused is no longer on campus. A solid case.

AGAiN, the NCAA is allowing more and more play right away transfers....moving closer and closer to the day when athletes will be able to transfer, when they want, for no reason other than they want to and play right away. That would be mayhem.

Insecurity: A Chant What you said has nothing to do with Fields case. Go pound sand. Men are talking. Oh, but a certain women referenced "mayhem" incorrectly. And the Field case will certainly be used as a legal precedent in the future As far as A Chant, do you know the significance of the Ay Ziggy Zoomba one?

That would be mayhem. I don't envision the NCAA giving up their discretionary authority and they shouldn't. An open door, non reviewing transfer policy would create mayhem, that very few coaches would want. The end result would be the tail wagging the dog. Many players would use the threat of transferring as a manipulative tool, that they would hang over their coaches head. Not a good idea at all.

Martel to Miami

I predicted last year that Martel would never be a starting QB for the Ohio State University. His spot appearances this past season were very unimpressive.
