Curious to see if Yu Chang makes the team out of spring training. Think he eventually settles in as their everyday 3rd baseman with Ramirez moving over to 2nd, and Kipnis (hopefully) either as a utility or just on the bench.
Would like to see them pull off a deal for Clint Frazier (assuming he is over the concussion stuff) because I think he can be had and I think he might help. Our OF is garbage. Not sure who ends up starting other than Leonys Martin in CF.

It's interesting that more people are concerned with chief wahoo than the big pile of nothing that the indians did in the off season. Outside of Lindor and Ramirez the rest of that everyday line up borderline embarrassing.

the Indians did not do nothing, they shed enough payroll to keep Kluber and their premier pitching staff intact, which is the best "nothing" they could have done
now they can sit back and see how the season plays out and address an area of need when they need to, they are in the worst division in Baseball, why act like they are in the AL East when they aren't? go bag on the Pirates, there is a team who did nothing
Indians off-season has been fine. They remain one of the best run organizations in baseball and are going through a rebuild on the fly right now without burning down the house. They don't have a lot of high-minors talent but they have one of the best groups of teenage talent in all of baseball. They have the pieces to make a deal when they need to.

Well they had better pray that their starting pitchers stay healthy, which will quite the feat for several of them, and that some people step up big in that bullpen because that line up is not scoring runs. It is true that they play in the unquestioned worst division in baseball, but you still have to beat the best teams in the other divisions to advance in the playoffs, if that is in fact the goal. If that isn't the goal this season then trade the pitchers and start over.

it's quite a feat for every starting pitcher to stay healthy, the injury rates for pitchers are astronomical and always have been, such is life
the goal is to be competitive and in the playoffs every year because every year anything can happen, if your goal is to have the best roster in baseball every year you will fail nearly every year

It is VERY painful to watch the Indians' batters flail away at pitches out of the strike zone. Maybe the tribe should have traded Kluber as his first two starts have been awful. Yeah, I know it's early.

4 game sweep of Toronto.
Kind of surprising to hear them say 6-3 is the Indians best start under Francona.

More injury news. Clevinger is expected to miss 6-8 weeks with a back strain. After leaving his most recent start with some upper back tightness, Francona initially thought it wasn't anything major. But now it's said he won't even touch a baseball for close to two months. This is a major blow, as his first two starts were nearly spotless. Let's hope Klubot can turn things around in a hurry.

Today was Zimmerman's 8th career start against the Indians, and he is now 0-6 in this games with an ERA over 11

More like 3 to 4 months, could require surgery. I found it amazing that his fast ball hit 98 and frequently 97 this year. That's 3 to 4 MPH over last year. Over throwing or found "help" not yet detectable? His body said too much.

He's a horse. He threw a couple of 98mph fast balls in the eighth when his pitch count was over 110.

It will be interesting with Cleveland hosting the All Star Game this summer. Who would the representative be with the pathetic offense they have? Possibly Carlos Santana who strikes out with too much regularity, but has the highest regular batting average. Pitching could be Bauer, but anyone else is not all star quality. This team is not good, not entertaining, therefore is not fun to watch.

They should of traded Kluber when they had the chance. they tried. Dodgers weren't really willing to part ways with Bellinger and/or Verdugo.

I read that last year the Indians spent 8% more than their entire gross income. You can blame ownership all you want but why would they continue to spend more than they take in? Small market baseball sucks 90% of the time for the fans.
