Willard (22-3) Coldwater (17-9)
The last time (and probably only time) Willard and Coldwater met was in 1982. Willard won that meeting 64-63 at the University of Toledo in the Regional Semi.

That 82 game was a classic.willard was down like. 15 points late in the third quarter. Willard down 1 with 7 sec left in the game, Coldwater shooting 1 and 1. Front end of 1 and 1 misses, Willard rebounds out to Lillo across half court, passes to left wing where shot went up with 4 sec left, ball bounces of back of rim, as time expires.....Coldwater called for over the back foul....Rex Adam's to the foul line for 1 and 1 with no time on the clock, sexy Rexy makes both and Flashes move on

I remember that game like yesterday C5. We were a pinch over confident coming in I think. Coldwater played us tough. We were down 15 late in the 3rd, and staged a comeback. The 2 FT's by Soph Rex Adams, talk about pressure.
Regarding this 2019 game, am hearing Coldwater has a number of football players which may account for the poor start to their season. I'm sure our coaches will get our team prepared and ready to battle come Wednesday night.

Please beat Coldwater for the SBC. Can't remember if anyone from our league, has ever beaten Coldwater in anything.

I'm sure our coaches will get our team prepared and ready to battle come Wednesday night. Coldwater had a 4-7 start (0-4 in their first 4), and is 13-2 since with wins over AP#1 (23-1) Archbold and AP #8 (21-4) O-G. Lots's of close losses early too. Coldwater probably had to the 2 most impressive wins in the state for their district wins. Nice thing will be that don’t have to listen to the Willard fans talked about how much better their schedule is than Coldwater. Really not even a comparison. I think Coldwater is a slight favorite. Game could go either way. Key component is Coldwater kids are used to playing in big stages for sports

Once the whistle blows and the ball is tossed up, players are focused on their opponent, the hoop, the court, etc...everything else is blocked out.

Right. Because nerves have never been an issue at the beginning of the game

Watched a few highlights of Coldwater games this year and 3 players pop up in the highlights #10 Marcus Bruns, #14 Cole Frilling and #23 Jacob Wenning. They all can shoot the 3 and Frilling seems to make the SportsCenter plays aka dunks. It's going to be a terrific game. According to Norwalk fans we are lucky to get out of the Sectional because we dared to play 6 schools smaller than us. And Norwalk got to Regionals playing 20 schools smaller than them. It's almost as if the better team typically wins the game.

Right. Because nerves have never been an issue at the beginning of the game coldwater kids won't be nervous at all since their use to playing in big games all the time. Willard kids will be peeing down their leg.not.

If you can't shoot it from 20 feet consistently then your in trouble with this team. Might get a few cheap buckets inside but that will be it.

I even said the game could go either way. Find a single post that says that I picked against Willard until this point

I watched a replay of Coldwater vs Green on youtubE--Green was terrible so that may not have been a good look,,,,they are very stout kids,6'2--6'5. We will look skinny compared to them. They don't press. Not overly quick, but seem physical as expected. Rebounds won't come as easy as other teams we have faced. They remind me a little of Vermilion . Do what we've been doing and we can win.

I’ve seen Coldwater firsthand. All I’m going to say is the Flashes will have their hands full.

Flashes are a good team in a weaker district. It’s a different world now. They seem to have a little of that old mojo going. We will see in a few days.

They shot lights out from 3 against OG---% says you don't do it twice in a row. They were 12-24,,,don't see it happening in two different gyms vs two different teams in consecutive games.
I'll take my chances playing a 9 loss team, figuring there are a few reasons they were not good enough 9 different times. As opposed to Archbold or OG-----bring on Coldwater.

I believe it being played on a college court will be to our advantage.our athleticism should be on full display.

At this point, ANYONE can beat ANYONE on a given night. We can match up against anyone. We present match up problems for a lot of teams. We can score both inside and out. We are a really really good defensive team. Most of our opponents going forward will be the same. I like our chances.

IF "athleticism is on full display".
