I do not believe they ever had a "touch". I believe because they were great players they were given a buffer for their average coaching jobs thus far in every place they've been (as head coaches and assistants). I do agree that Gilbert will help. We will see how much.

I thought the Longs did well at Clyde and TC, respectively. As you said, great players, but also under the likes of Bishop, Nasonti, Cook, etc. I haven't any issues unlike some who wished Whitmer's HC is at Ross as he's an alum/former player.

Quite the change in Regional assignments; Eastern Cleveland is essentially Region 5, Western Cleveland Region 6, and Toledo/Columbus Region 7.

I have quite few State he's coming over to Ross to be the OC. However, things are subject to change. Maybe he decided to stay at Tiffin.

2 from Bellevue (I believe brothers) and one from Monroeville. Other than that, I'm not sure.

Being a great player who played under a great coach does not mean they will be a great coach. On the contrary the coaching graveyard is littered with home town stars who just couldn’t hack it as coaches.

I honestly don't know. There are some that still overhyped Ross, and then when things go wrong, the Coaches get blamed. Just as I State these aren't your mom and dad's Truckers (in a positive way), it's the same in Little Giant Country(negative way). At any rate, welcome to this site.

You do realize Dempsey is coaching TCCC.Prior to 2001 TCC was horrible.But like all teams TCC has had down years because of injuries most notably 2010 when he went 3-7 because of injuries..Since than no but like all teams it will come.He is able to recruit,he coaches them up, his staff is good, they try to avoid injuries and there you go .

Central went 8-2 in 10 losing to Whitmer and SJJ, and then eventual State Champ Maple Heights in playoffs.

I can see quite a battle for 3rd this season behind Whitmer and Central. I'm leaning towards SJJ right now. My friends in Lima tell me Sr will be much better this season as well.

SJJ looked strong in their scrimmage against Southview. They have a nice QB reciever set and run well. Defense has good speed. They might contend with Central and Whitmer.

Lichtenberg and Mitsopoulos are the QB/WR duo that figure to have great seasons.
