This game truly exemplifies what a great coaching staff Ryan Day has assembled. LJ standing in as head coach....A+ Stud throwing together a group of green, inexperienced replacements and getting them to play virtually error free, in a seemless fashion.....A+ I'm guessing those backups have earned more presence in the future rotation. I here nobody crying about today's defensive performance either.

Today is why scUM wants no part of TOSU. Easy out to blame covid....and wait till Friday to cancel.

Today is why scUM wants no part of TOSU. Easy out to blame covid....and wait till Friday to cancel. You hit the nail on the head. Those a-holes won't announce early, so OSU can attempt a replacement. They will keep everyone hanging and announce as late in the week as they possibly can, to put the screws to the Buckeyes.

If... TTUN cancels in a dramatic fashion, they can no longer ever expect any form of respect from buckeye nation.

OSU needs to set up a backup plan as soon as possible. If any BIG10 team cancels on Monday/Tuesday they need to set them up as a contingent option. Agree to play away, give them OSU jerseys, buy them kegs, whatever it takes to get a backup plan.
Barry Alvarez may be my favorite non-OSU coach. He said the conference may need to reconsider the six game rule if OSU doesn’t get six games. He understands the conference has to send a fourth ranked OSU to the National Championship if the opportunity arises. Smart man.

Ohio state will be in the final 4 if they don’t lose, 6th game or not.

In a game filled with positives, seeing All-American guard Wyatt Davis go down with a leg injury, was the biggest downer of the day.
Let's hope we get good news and it isn't a serious injury.

5* Quinn Ewers just got a 1.00 grade on 247 Sports Composite. Woot. That QB room is going to be really interesting with him, McCord, Stroud, and Miller. I’m really curious how they handle it. How do you keep a guy like Ewers off the field, even if he is a freshman?

The same can be said for McCord. How do you keep him off the field next year? If Ewers comes in and starts as a Freshman, over McCord, Stroud and Miller. One of them will be a retuning starter. Then Ewers might be the only scholarship player left in the QB room

No way does all 3 leave, even if Ewers comes in and starts. I do expect at least one of them to leave at some point though. Will McCord beat out Stroud/Miller next year? This is going to be interesting to see how this all plays out.

After all the speculation and anticipation, today is the day for 5* WR Emeka Egbuka to announce his decison on where he will take his incredible talents. Oklahoma has made a strong charge for his services, topped by Emeka's recent visit to the Oklahoma campus, but OSU insiders still like Ohio State's chances. Residing on the west coast, expect a late afternoon announcement.
Keep your fingers crossed!!!

This is going to be interesting to see how this all plays out. Really?? If you were the starter the year before, a highly regarded recruit and only a redshirt Freshman or Sophomore when a green Freshman comes in and takes your spot you're not going to transfer? All of those guys are older guys and all are highly regarded talents and a Freshman comes in and will be the starter the rest of your years at Ohio State, you're not going to transfer? Name one of those players that will stay at Ohio State, graduate and never start a game. That would be NFL suicide. They ALL think they are NFL QBs.

I have no idea which ones it could be that would transfer, but yes I don’t think all of them would. I also think it’s a moot point because I don’t think Ewers will start as a freshman. I do think at least one of those 4 will eventually transfer as they will want to play and be a starter, but 3 out of the 4? Nope, don’t see it.

Add 5* SDE J.T. Tuimoloau and the LB they are pursuing, this class is on the brink of overtaking Bama for the recruiting crown.

Potentially, the 21-22 Buckeyes could be some of best talent ever to wear scarlet and gray. As an aside, Dabo says OSU doesn't deserve to be in playoffs. This came after he was informed the stripes who officiated the last OSU-Clemson fiasco are ineligible to judge any playoff game this year. LOL

LOL Dabo is flappin his lips as Dabo always does, secretly knowing if Clemson comes up short vs. N.D., they are the odd man out. He is turning up his anti-Ohio State rhetoric, because he knows an impressive showing and win over Northwestern gets OSU the #3 seed. A fresh loss vs. a fresh win drops the ND/Clemson loser to no higher than #4 seed and in Clemson's case, 2 losses your out.

This is what Ryan Day does to keep as many as possible for as long as possible. Next year there will be a 3 player competition for starter between Stroud, Miller and McCord. Stroud or Miller will win, McCord will be told he was a year behind learning Day's system. Stroud or Miller be the QB for 2 years, if not 3. Who ever doesn't win between Stroud and Miller is gone, they both are a long way from home and there will be a long list of schools out west drooling over the loser. Is McCord significantly better than Stroud or Miller and able to supplant the Big Ten 1st Team QB? I doubt Day would want to upset the apple or Buckeye cart. If not will he wait for 2 years to be the starter with Ewers breathing down his neck. I would think there would be a long list of colleges across the country drooling over McCord for him to choose from and like Burrows could pick the school where he would mostly likely step in and start right away. I can't see either of the two staying. It will be Stroud or Miller with Ewers waiting his turn.

A logical case can be made that a 2 loss Clemson is more deserving than a one loss A&M whose loss was by 28 to Alabama.

I just didn’t see 3 of the 4 leaving. I definitely could see 2, depending on what other qb recruits come in in the following classes too.

You guys are going to develop an ulcer over the amazing QB dilemma that will ensue in the coming two years. What a great problem to have and don't lose any sleep over this, it always works itself out and the QB's fully understand this when they sign on the dotted line.

No ulcer or loss of sleep on my end. I sleep very well knowing the recruits we have coming in over the next few years. It’s just interesting to talk about the QB situation, I can’t think of a time we’ve ever had a QB room like this.

I'm guessing one of the top QB rooms amassed in the history of college football. Certainly, the WR's amassed, is perhaps the best ever in college football history, if not, definitely in the top 3 all-time. One thing that we can all agree on, Ohio State is going to be scary good in coming years.
