It is unbelievable how much you can misunderstand. I'm criticizing the coaches who voted for a player of a team who could not win a single league game. I have seen the kid play many times in his career and i'm fully aware of what he can do as an individual athlete. Also, I was never "freaked out" by your comments about YOUR coach. I was trying to make you understand you should be happy to have a coach as NOBODY else has wanted that job for about 5+ years now. This is, in part, a reflection of the some parents and fans. I never said anything was not deserved. I was asking how a team that did not win a game in the league can have multiple kids receive league honors. Each year there can be a different name inserted. It's not directed at a single kid. So that you can rest easy, I know both the kid and the coach and I have know the kid much longer. You say "I never said anything was not deserved" but also say "I'm criticizing coaches who voted for a player of a team who could not win a single league game". Why would you be criticizing the coaches if he deserves it?? So which one is it? Does he deserve to be 1st Team or not?? Since you mentioned it, would Lebron be Lebron had he NEVER carried his team to wins?

Tough question to answer but maybe a good way to determine all-league honors. Lantz may have been the 2nd best player for Shelby but if he was on 2-3 of the other MOAC teams ha may have been their best player. Seeing how Shelby went 12-0, could that make him 1st team? Jimmy Langhurst is no Lebron but he carried his team to many many wins. Same could be said for Nate Reinking who carried his team to 17 wins his senior year. I’m going to guess your two examples of guys who carried their teams didn’t fall off as steeply from them to their second through fifth player. Very possible, but I was not asking the current player to win 17 or more games and play for a district or regional title.
