Serious question.. what GM is going to draft Wade? How can scouts watch film on him this season and say yep we need him on our team. slot corer where he dominated last year he’s been all over the field all season, he’s been bad no matter where he is. Even Herbstreit was just calling him out.

I just don’t get it, how many games this year have we watched Wade and questioned his intensity and how hard he’s playing? Seriously looks like he’s not trying at times.

he has been awful from the get, and when Cardale called him out on twitter his dad went off on Cardale and started insulting him over his NFL career
he was a 5* recruit too, a big get

What a strange season for Wade. We really looked slow on defense all night. I have a feeling Bama is just faster on offense. I was not overly impressed with Bama defense though. We needed pressure from the DL on Mac Jones,,,got it one time. Losing our two DL hurt wayyyyy more than I thought it would. Sermon on the first flipping play,,,,like Teddy Ginn all over again from 2006

slot corer where he dominated last year he’s been all over the field all season, he’s been bad no matter where he is. Even Herbstreit was just calling him out. They've had him on the outside on the opponent's best WR, where he was his first 2 years and looked bad. Last year in Hafley's defense he strictly played slot corner and thrived. This year he was the only returning corner so they put back on the outside where he is obviously out of position. I think they promised him that so he'd come back for his Senior year.

With all the talent at WR coming back for Ohio State I hope Day copies some of Sarkisian's offense. He was running some nasty shat out there tonight.

That doesn’t change his effort though. All season it looked like he was timid, avoiding contact, not going 100%, even Herbstreit said he was just jogging last night.

Agree with buckeyekid, I think losing Togiai and Smith hurt so much. We really didn’t get any pressure on Jones. And then Sermon was just another gut punch that no one was expecting.

Even at full strength, I doubt if osu could have beaten bama. That was as good and well rounded fb college team I've seen in awhile. Two game disappointments -- osu lack of imagination offensively and defensively and Wade's continued inability to cover his shadow much less any moving receiver. My wife said he'd look good in a squealers uniform LOL

Excited about the future though. Great recruiting classes coming in. In Day’s first two seasons he made the playoffs and should have been in the title game both years.

Between the injuries, Covid outs, and a mediocre performance from Justin,,who was clearly not 100%,,it was not gonna happen. Huge huge difference in Clemson and Bama.

Interesting tidbit. Previous to Sunday the last Browns playoff win was 1/1/95. The very next day Alabama beat OSU in the Citrus bowl.

Between the injuries, Covid outs, and a mediocre performance from Justin,,who was clearly not 100%,,it was not gonna happen. Huge huge difference in Clemson and Bama. Certainly, there was a compilation of different factors working against the Buckeyes. Even at full strength and playing at an optimal level, don't think the final results would be much better. This is a great Bama offense, the likes I haven't seen, college or pro, for a long, long time. Justin was off his game, throwing the ball last night. Several potential big plays were nullified by too much velocity on the ball on short passes, or not enough vertical arch to clear defenders outreached hands and just a bit off mark from the accuracy we've come to expect. I think he was hurting much more than anyone could possibly realize, effecting his performance. Smith is going to have a great pro career ahead of him

Between the injuries, Covid outs, and a mediocre performance from Justin,,who was clearly not 100%,,it was not gonna happen. Huge huge difference in Clemson and Bama. Alabama was far superior in every position group AND in avoiding testing positive for THE virus. As much as we were told how sterile the environment was at The Woody, there were serious issues somewhere. Hopefully this pandemic is over by next season or Ohio State has a bigger problem. As other schools and leagues were much better at controlling out breaks. ALSO, Sarkisian is a superior play caller and offensive mind than Ryan Day. What was on display should go a long way in keeping offensive recruits in Texas and the surrounding area from coming to Ohio State and going to Texas.

The only 2 teams that Alabama scored more on was Old Miss and Western Carolina. AND Ohio State had the advantage in turnovers 1-0.

I also think the fact that OSU hasn't played in back to back weeks since what October(?) let alone had to travel for back to back weeks didn't help them either. Obviously Day and company is not on Saban's level as far as coaching and preparation go just yet. The worst part about this was we actually gave Notre Dame some credibility. For some reason I dislike them more than Michigan.

Some have debated on Social Media, etc, OSU was rested; hence the whopping to Clemson.

It's also been said it is really hard to get sky high for 2 games in a row. Ryan Day admitted they'd been preparing for Clemson all year. As Clemson had been preparing for Alabama. If you're REALLY good all a team has to do is stay consistent all season. This led to obvious results. As Urban said, not only is Alabama talented at every position they're coached to stay within themselves and not make any mistakes. We'll have to wait for Saban to die on a football field someday, coaching Alabama.

Well he passed Bryant now for the most championships, perhaps he'll step away sooner than you think.

Going forward the real concern for Ohio St is the Big Ten Conference. They don’t help them on or off the field. Ohio St can play their C game and win against pretty much every school. Now you have to add in ridiculous Covid protocols against other schools, and by other schools I mean Clemson and Bama because those 3 are playing/recruiting at a different level than anyone else.

Also true for Clemson and ACC though.

not having Tyreke Smith, Tom Togai and Trey Sermon essentially took away our chance to compete. The guys who took their places are not future NFL players---those 3 guys look like NFL players to me.
I texted a friend after Sermon went out holding his shoulder---saying "we're toast" and we were.

Yup just too many gut punches to overcome, between guys that were out, Sermon, and then Wyatt Davis getting hurt too. And Fields clearly not 100%, it had to be a Herculean effort to get the win.
