I read it in a Terry Pluto article from Wednesday titled: Any trade involving Francisco Lindor and Carlos Carrasco is painful: Terry Pluto’s Scribbles. The quote was: 11. The Mets wanted Carrasco not only as a member of their rotation, but also because he is under a multi-year deal. They didn’t want to trade four promising players and have Lindor leave after a year. Carrasco gives them some long-term protection, something to show in case Lindor leaves New York. I had heard Lindor didn’t want to play in New York. That was in spring training. Who knows where things stand now. fair enough

I think we have seen Kluber's last dominant, injury free season. Has Bauer signed anywhere yet?

Kluber should have been traded a year earlier. That year he was already on the down side of his Bell Curve. I was surprised they got what they did for him.

we aren't signing Bauer lol he is going to get an AAV over $20 mil, maybe over $25
Kluber just had a pitching exhibition, we don't need him to be an ace, if he is a 3rd 4th starter he would be effective and he is a UFA, he will probably be cheap. Worth a shot. Maybe he has a rebound year and you can flip him to a contender for a prospect ala SD fleecing the ChiSox in the James Shields for Fernando Tatis Jr. trade.

The fifth starter, they have at least 4 young pitchers better than him today, if they can get him for a 1 year contract for 1 million.
Kluber would make a hell of a pitcher coach if he could teach kids to throw his slider and go about business like he does.

Oh I know that I just wondered if he'd signed yet. If Kluber impressed scouts as reported then he is already out of the Indian's price range. Personally, if they were going to throw any REAL money around I would have liked to see them bring Brantley back.

they should have made Brantley a qualifying offer so they got some compensation when he signed with HOU, for sure
the cheaper the payroll the easier it is to move lolZ

Kluber signed with yankees for 1 year at 11 million. No way dolan would spend that kind of money. How bad is it? Hedges, backup catcher, is one of 3 highest at 3 million. Look for kluber to throw no hitter vs this indians team of minor leaguers as long as he'd walk rameriz every time. lol

Indians payroll is like $40 million. Rofl.
Not sure how much Kluber has left but I do know the Yankees rotation is hot garbage.

It’s being reported that Cesar Hernandez is re-signing with the Indians. It’s not officially confirmed so no terms yet.

Cleveland pitching is among the best in the league year in and year out.
The Indians can afford to trade a SS they have a dozen legit ones in their organization. Ahmed Rosario is interesting because he has put on BP shows before and was a highly regarded kid for a number of years.

r would love to see the Tribe take a chance on Taijuan Walker Agree 100% but you have to remember who owns the team. They aren't spending any more $$$ unless it is a bryan shaw look-a-like and I doubt WAlker will take a minor league contract. Also, Mets reportedly have a serious interest in him
