If I were a Browns fan I would be concerned about how the coaching staff handles the locker room. Every one of those players has sisters and mothers. How much respect will they have for a QB with 22 allegations against him? They couldn’t handle the ego of one wide receiver last season and watched him go do well for a playoff team.

Well considering that most of the players have shown no backing of Baker and have publicly shown excitement of bringing Deshaun in I don't believe this will be an issue. Most players I've seen don't seem to have an issue with it. Myles, Newsome, John Johnson, and more have all posted after they acquired Watson that they were excited. Jarvis Landrys new agent even said word for word "Jarvis had always had a special place in his heart for Cleveland, but Deshaun being there makes it even more intriguing for him to want to return"

Yeah, Ravens owner was not happy. Sounds like they had no plans to pay Lamar that type of money. Also, Goodell said Watson will not go on the exempt list and I've been hearing a lot of rumblings that Watson may not get suspended till next year because he is fighting the civil suits and isn't willing to settle and most people are saying it will be between anywhere from a 4-8 game suspension if it does happen. Roethlisberger got 6 games for sexually assaulting ONE woman, but then again this is a Watson. A dual threat QB from Clemson.

I didn’t say all the guys would have an issue with him. It doesn’t take everyone having a problem with him to disrupt the system. One receiver caused problems last year. Threw off the offense and he had to be traded.

Let me clear something up … most of you use Ben’s “crime” as some sort of bar for judging Watson. Wrong!! The specifics of Ben's case make it clear that he probably DID commit the crime. (Not being charged isn’t the threshold). There were witnesses, and Ben himself corroborated some of the specifics. THAT is why Ben, his agent, AND the owner and management of the Steelers AGREED with the suspension. (Which was fair due to not being formally charged). As for Watson… there are NO WITNESSES, and NO ADMISSIONS! Period! So… the NFL has a problem: how to access a punishment without ANY punishable information. If they were to suspend him without a single finding of guilt, his lawsuit would be historic and could bring down the entire “shield”. If a single case judgment is made AGAINST him, the the NFL can do whatever if wants as punishment. Here is a little “Ben” info to support my position. Several witnesses at the establishments patronized by Roethlisberger told investigators that Joyner was serving as a bodyguard. One witness at Capital City, the nightclub that was the final stop on Roethlisberger’s night out, is an acquaintance of Roethlisberger’s accuser. She said Joyner did not comply with her request for assistance at the time the accuser said the assault took place.. A statement by the Pennsylvania state police said Joyner “exceeded the scope of the employment description” for which he was approved and “in doing so he is alleged to have demeaned the image of the department.” That sounded like what Goodell told Roethlisberger in his letter. “In your six years in the N.F.L., you have first thrilled and now disappointed a great many people,” Goodell wrote. “I urge you to take full advantage of this opportunity to get your life and career back on track.”

Welp this Deshaun Watson trade may go down as one the worst in NFL history. Becoming a real possibility that he is out the entire year and almost for sure 1/2 the year. Not to mention, no way anyone can trust this guy. 66 different massage therapists in 17 months? 24 now have joined the suit and I’m guessing more to come. This guy needs help and should of settled the law suit last year. The Browns, Watson and Watson attorney look real bad

Last time I checked, getting a chubby during a massage is not a crime Committing a crime has nothing to do with the NFL conduct policy.

I can't fathom any NFL organization willing to link themselves to this mess. 24 accusers is pretty overwhelming damnation. He tried to buy them off with a $100,000 per accuser bribe and was resoundly rejected by all of the women. This is far, far beyond a Ben Roethlisberg, bathroom incident.

Last time I checked, getting a chubby during a massage is not a crime Soliciting prostitution and sexual assault, are indeed crimes. I'm sure there are other charges that could have been and perhaps may result from his antics. The onus falls on the prosecutors office, but in this case, they chose to turn their head, instead of doing the right thing.

I just have a sense that the league is doing anything they can to get him on the field. There are a few red flags. One, the accusations didn’t occur until he requested a trade from Houston. Two, 2 or 3 grand jury’s failed to indict him. Three, they are still letting him participate in team activities in which if it were as serious as it sounds the league should’ve not let him participate in team activities. There will be new information everyday until the cows come home and I’m not saying these woman are lying. The only people that know the truth are Deshuan, the woman, and the Houston Texans.

Baker traded to Carolina for a 2024 Conditional fifth-round pick that could turn into a 4th if Baker plays a certain number of games. Browns are also paying 10 million of Baker's salary which would leave the Panthers to pay the remaining 8 million in his deal for this year.

Good thing Baker is out of Cleveland. He was holding the team back from being great. Week one gonna be extra special because everyone on that Browns defense knows his weaknesses. Browns win even with Brissett at quarterback week one.

The thing about Mayfield is that he has nothing to be upset about. Everyone in the NFL world knows (regardless how you feel about the accusations) is that Waston is a more athletic and a better quarterback than him. Browns needed to fix the qb position. It’s a business and his feelings got hurt. He could’ve stayed and took over for the games waston is gonna be suspended for, but he had to cry.

Ex Federal Judge Sue Robinson the NFLs independent arbitrator announced Watson will be suspended 6 games. NFLPA announced they will not appeal. NFLs side has 3 days to appeal.

As is the case with a lot of judges, they do not want to sit in judgment of billionaires who have a stable of the best lawyers in the country. In this case the players union made it be known they would counter a years suspension with the facts in court of multiple owners sexual misconducts that the league new about and did nothing. ALSO his former team was complicit, they knew what Watson wanted and they called and sent "massage therapists" to his room when on the road.
Watson obviously has a sexual addiction. I just hope there is something in his new monstrous contract about getting help for his addiction and penalties if he back slides. As ALL QBs are the face of the organization.

This isn't over yet though. NFL has through Thursday to appeal and if it's appealed all decision-making goes back to Goodell or someone he appoints as designee. Would be interesting to see if Goodell says I don't care about this newly appointed process I'm throwing out the judge's first big case with us and doing it my way.

I don't believe the NFL wants to drag this out any further. If they do, the player's union is gonna hold Goodell's feet to the fire over the owners (Robert Kraft, for example) getting off for some pretty disgusting things without consequences from him.
