Wont be surprised if Lexington is next. They already shut school down for two weeks.

Wont be surprised if Lexington is next. They already shut school down for two weeks. Coworker tells me that is more because of the shortage of substitutes in Richland County. IF a teacher gets sick and is out 10 days they do not have anyone to put in that classroom. Athletics are not affected at this time.

Looks like we will have a picture to what the OCC will look like after this week. While Wooster still might have a say in the final rankings, West Holmes and Mansfield have both looked like the two best teams in the conference through 3 weeks. Will also help a lot for whoever wins with points in Region 10.

I have seen it all now. Ashland is 0-4. Do they hire interim coaches in A-town?

I have seen it all now. Ashland is 0-4. Do they hire interim coaches in A-town? I got to see them two weeks ago against Clyde and it got ugly and fast. I see Mr. Nemitz had a good night against them tonight.

I have seen it all now. Ashland is 0-4. Do they hire interim coaches in A-town? Ashland started 0-4 two years ago in Seders first year as a coach. I’m not sure if this is far off of what I expected. This team is small, lacks a QB and just doesn’t feel like they want to play football to be honest. They only have 15 sophomores on the team which is shocking to me. One bright spot. Saw the future Arrows Qb at the AU game tonight. Kids legit 6’3 and looks like he could start for the varsity tomorrow. Future looks better then today for the Arrows.

OCC is down this year. that being said, the Mansfield WH game was fantastic Friday night, glad I was able to go and it wasn't cancelled

Coach Bradley was REALLY hard on his players in the MNJ. I don't believe in that, a coach can tell his players in practice how disappointed he was. Insults in the press don't help.

Come on guys I agree with you that the OCC might only have a few great teams this year but give west Holmes their due so far this year. It seems like all I have ever heard years west Holmes are good is OCC is down. Not saying it’s not all true but show some respect somebody has to win

Unless you think that a "few" will make the Regional Finals. As Dude says "good" is much closer.

well willard i saw where you said about coach bradley was very hard on his players i/n the mnj. this doesnt have to do with the occ but a similar incident happened with fostoria at elmwood in which fostoria lost to elmwood 77-8 and trailed 63-0 at half .coach derek kidwell who thinks is a tough guy by shouting at his team and told them they quit in the first half.not only he didnt kept that in the lockeroom but he told that to a fostoria sportswriter but i thought that was bull telling that to the media being fostoria is very young and then he tells the sportswriter that the coming week practice will be much tougher, thats a good way to lose kids on a young. thats probably why he didnt last at fremont ross when he was there. comparing coaches coach bradley has more integrity than derek kidwell will ever have.

Ashland is not very good at all, MV is not very good this year, I think Lex is playing harder and is a little more sound but they are beating teams they should beat. If they would have held on against CF I would say they are up. Wooster might not be as good as thought this year, new coach or not. Honestly, Mansfield got handled by Tiffin when it mattered, if they would have beat them I would say this league is better than I thought. WH is good, no knock on them for being the league favorite right now, but I'd say there are only two teams that are likely to make some noise in the playoffs at all and that is Mansfield and WH. I'd say the league is pretty down this year for the biggest school league in our area. It seems like more of a cycle of schools being young or having less talent... for Madison... I don't know what it is going to take to get them going again. Whatever they are doing now though, that isn't it.
