Davey 1 reports West Holmes beat Wooster 63-58 in another wild night in the OCC.
That puts the standings at:
Ashland 5-2
Wooster 5-2
Lexington 5-3
Madison 3-4
Wooster 3-5
West Holmes 2-4
Mansfield Sr 2-5
Mt.Vernon sums up the OCC pretty well. This year they lost 2, then won 5 in a row, then lost 5 in a row, and now have won 4 in a row to sit at 9-7.

Madison has really been playing well lately. Amazing what happens when you have a decent coach.
Also Ashland might be in for a tough finish if there big man can’t go the rest of the season. Hoping he can make it back.

That's a big loss for Mt Vernon. West Holmes may be playing better than anyone right now.
I saw where one of Ashland's starters was injured last game. Will he be back? If not that opens things up even more.

I have not gotten anything official but I’m
not sure if tonight’s Ashland Wooster game will happen. Ashland high school has been without power the last two days. They have not had school at the high school the last two days. We will see if they get it back on by this afternoon.

I wonder WHO would argue that they are not? Only 2 losses were to Findlay in OT and Lima Senior by 8. In an attempt to make a local connection for relevance. In the 2020 tournament that was cut short, by early Feb OG was ranked #4 in State, similar to what they are now. They played in regional semis against a local team that was 23-3 on their season. OG won by 32 in a game that was never in question. Locally we have the #1 ranked team in the state for D3 while OG is ranked #4. |
