Well it would help if the running back would look up occasionally to find a hole instead of just running blindly to where ever he was running to in practice. Also, our linemen are absolutely awful at sustaining blocks after first contact. But so long we can't catch balls that hit us in the hands they will continue to load up the box and make running the football very difficult on us. I'm going to chalk much of last night up to our receivers and our qb not being in synch due to not working together in weeks and hope for better execution going forward. One more thing, this is not the NFL. We had several kids out there more concerned with not getting hit than making plays. There is no reason to be sliding in hs football instead of making plays(and I watched more than one kid do this). I'll agree with everything you said except for 2 sliding. Probably not 100% and i'll take him playing at 50% as opposed to injured again for the rest of the season. First, 2 wasn't the only who slid. Second, he's more likely to "injure" that knee again sliding feet first than he is just getting tackled.

As said, this is not the NFL. Some KIDS will try to make the play without getting hit.

Well Scooter this is football. If a kid is too concerned about the contact element of it Galion does offer soccer now.

A couple of thoughts on this one. It was nice to see some signs of life offensively especially in the first half. It was nice seeing Galiontiger's son back out there. I bet nobody including myself thought this one would be tied at halftime. The tackling for Galion wasn't good in the second half but they also looked worn down by the pounding of Harding's running game. I'm not trying to complain about school size or anything like that. Harding was the better team and we lost to them. On a side note, I was surprised and impressed that Harding had a girl dressed #62. I'm not sure I ever saw that before. I don't think she got into the game though.

My son isn't 100% yet. I was told it's an 8-week injury to heal. He even cut his rehab one week short to come back this week. So I know he's apprehensive about taking a hit. I watched the first half of the game on hudl this morning, he wasn't scrambling like he usually does. That's understandable, hopefully he starts to gain more confidence in it.

Yes, but he didn't injure it in the first place from taking a hit. He is more likely to get hurt having his cleats catch in the ground and having his leg fold underneath him than by getting tackled. Nobody is questioning whether he is 100% or not. Also, if the coaches haven't explained it to him yet or just don't know the rules anytime a qb throws the ball away or into the ground in high school it is intentional grounding. This is not the NFL there is no "outside of the tackle box".

All that stuff must have happened In the 2nd half. Hudl only showed the first half, don't know why. I'll watch it when i get back to Ohio tomorrow night.

Actually the intentional grounding happened in the first quarter. It was the play where he threw the ball into the ground about 5 yards in front of him. Might have even been the first series not entirely sure.

Ok I'll watch it again. We will talk about it. I was watching on my phone. I was shocked at the halftime score...not that our offense had scored a couple of touchdowns but how well our defense was playing. Hopefully the next couple of games we can become a little more competitive.

Hopefully the next couple of games we can become a little more competitive. really not trying to sound bad here but Harding was Galion's best defense in the first half i dont think we got past the 20 in the first quarter because of false starts and other penalty's your son only had 99 yards at half with 53 of those coming on one throw.. your run defense did pretty well in the first half but seemed to get worn down... Galion is a very different team with your son in thats for sure i was impressed the guts he had staying in even though he couldnt move very well and once we figured out to put pressure on him thats when the game turn around if he could have been mobile the score could have very easily been a lot closer and if your receivers caught more of the passes he threw.

There's no reason why he can't be more mobile. I know he's probably just a little scared. He's actually never been hurt before in a game where he missed a game. I'm gonna talk to him once I get home to tonight about it.

Yeah it's an 800 dollar brace (cost me 225 dol that the insurance didn't cover). The surgeon told me he would probably wear that his first year or two years in college. They said the brace would protect it, and he couldn't re-injure it. The brace would protect it. So each week he will get more comfortable with it....hopefully.

Hahah Yeah! Yep Harding beat us this year, and we went to Harding last year and took care of business. Galion 1 ...Harding 1. I wouldn't get too excited about it...but you go ahead. It's not like Harding is going to win the MOAC or anything.

i honestly think Galion and Harding are very similar and match up well with each other i like the games they play against each other and great adds to the MOAC could become a great rivalry

Galiontiger, difference of winning on a field goal, and getting blown out. They just couldn't stop Barnett last year only reason. And winner of Harding and JA will win moac. Harding can very well win. Those boys are hungry.

Not so fast ........ keep sleeping I just watched the full game. Your quarterback doesn't impress me that much. He doesn't throw the ball he "pushes" it to his receivers. He missed a few receivers in the first half. He did have HUGE drop on that bomb though. That boy should have caught that pass. That would have been a long touchdown pass. He had a couple of drops, but he missed a couple of wide open receivers too. The Galion team drop multiple of passes...falling down in their routes..sliding after catching the ball after a good gain. It looked terrible on film. .......The second half was disastrous. Harding had multiple runs were we should have got him for a one yard loss...break 4 easy tackles and runs for 30 yards for the touchdown. ...Multiple runs like that. Our punter kicking 2 punts that might have went 15 yards. My son throwing 2 interceptions...one I could see..he looked him down too much. The second one he should have never thrown...just run the darn ball and pick up a couple of yards. Harding is going to get beat by JA and probably by Pleasant too. If Galion can play them to a tie at half...and screw up that bad in the 2nd half (which no team (like JA or Pleasant) will), they are going to get beat a couple of more times.

Harding had 11 pentatles in the first Q lol! Harding played like Poop. Once they cleaned it up and played Harding football this year they whooped poor galion. 40-12 🌟🌟🌟 sayre 19-24 very impressive. Cook 8-24 is Poop. However he has a 6'5 frame and has all the potential in the world. Throws to many INT

Pleasant definitely won't lol. They've played no one besides JA, Harding beat you guys just as bad as JA did, with your son back and that reciver I believe. Pleasant could only put up 14 on NU that Harding put up 35 in 3 quarters, (played jv 4th). Harding JA will be game of the year. A big one. It'll be close. People will sleep on Harding but it will be close. This pleasant bv game will tell a lot too.

Harding might have won 40-12, but they sure as hell didn't look like a 40 point team. They aren't that fast...the field was wet. I don't see how people say they are that fast. They look like an average team to me. We tackle like a below average team. I watched one of our linebackers or corners come to the line when the Harding back made his move...the kid didn't even try to tackle him...just watched him run by. Yeeeeaaahhh! Please don't judge a win over Galion or North Union as you guys being "world-beaters", because you are going to be sorely disappointed in the end. They are going to get beat soon and beat bad. Mark my words. You guys are hyping this team up too much.

What I meant galion tiger. That Harding played them closer to full strength and still won by as much and gave up less. Was a bad weather night of course would be bad things. Penalties can be fixed. We'll see what this week brings.
