Easily, the greatest game of this young football season, was played last evening between LSU and FSU. What last minute drama! Florida State is poised to put this one away, but fumbles at the goal line, giving LSU one last gasp of hope. LSU drives 99 yds., the virtual length of the football field and miraculously scores with one tick left on the clock, to tie it up. Only thing left is the 'automatic' extra point....but wait a minute!

Yes, the LSU-FSU was an exciting finish. Couldn't believe FSU called a risky pitch out that nearly cost them the game instead of something conservative, to burn clock or burn LSU TOs, and go up by two scores, even if you had to settle for a FG. I would have gone for 2 and the win if was coaching LSU. They were on a roll. Fun ending to watch.

Georgia beat the number 11 ranked team in Oregon 49-3 but yes adding a 12 team-watered down playoff is a great idea........

Yeah it’ll be fun for those other 8 teams to say they made the playoffs and play in them and might make for some fun first round games.. but everyone knows it’ll still always come down to a team like Ohio state, Alabama, Georgia, Clemson, etc. Sorry Cincinnati and Iowa State and Boise State, it’s just not happening.

Someone needs to hold interventions at Iowa and Wisconsin about their offenses. These two make Notre Dame look like a offensive juggernaut.

I don’t know how Scott Frost keeps his job after losing to Georgia Southern.

I don’t know how Scott Frost keeps his job after losing to Georgia Southern. I kept thinking the same after every Nebraska loss. Then I found out his Buyout gets cut in half in early October.

And it’s official, Nebraska has fired Frost. Hard to believe they wouldn’t wait and save the cash.

Frost was a good coach when he could get 20 4* and high 3* from Florida every year to stay home

I genuinely like Scott Frost and think he is an outstanding coach, put in a difficult situation. Nebraska no longer has the appeal it once enjoyed with young recruits. Consequently, the quality of their athletes doesn't rise to the level of their competition. His replacement will be faced with the same dilemma. Success with recruiting and having a staff that has good abilities of coaching up their young players, is everything. I'm wondering how much time and patience ND will have with Marcus Freeman, who I see as an eventual, rising star in college football. His fate will be an interesting study.

I think Frost could land in a good spot if he wants to. I agree with the recruiting comments and in that Nebraska is not a hot seat for top recruits wanting to be and playing in the Big Ten is to much for the high expectations of the older boosters. The Tom Osborne years are over.

Just read that Notre Dame's qb Tyler Buchner has an AC sprain and will be needing surgery and will be out 4 months. Not that he was doing that great any way but still a blow for them, Marcus Freeman is going to have a rough first season it appears.

He turned the floundering UCF football program around and coached them to an amazing 12-0 season in 2017, where they claimed the mythical National Championship. Things didn't go so well for him at Nebraska, but not sure even Saban would have had much success with questionable talent on their roster. Scott Frost, given the right opportunity, can still make a case for himself in today's college football world.

From what I’ve heard from Nebraska fans is his ego is way bigger than his talent.

I think it’s a hard pill to swallow for the Cornhusker nation, they will never resemble the 90’s style teams they had again. Their best bet is work something up with the NIL and get these kids paid. You might not like Nebraska, but if you’re getting paid 5-6 figured to be there, some top recruits will think about it. I can see it now
“Come to Nebraska!! You’ll be the face of Kramer Farms and Top Seed Fertilizer.”

No, having a good agent gets you a job Everyone thinks they can be the CEO of a large business. The ones that actually take the jobs have egos that tower above others. Same is true for most college head coaches.

I found this tidbit interesting on the Frost firing. Had Nebraska waited until Oct 1 his buyout was $7.5 mil. By firing him before that date his buyout was $15 mil. It cost Nebraska taxpayers $7.5 to dump that guy 2 weeks early rather than later.
