I was thinking of travel distance for the other sports. It's 42 miles from NSP to Lucas. It's an extra 16 miles (32 round trip) from Crestview to Lucas. That'd be a hop, skip and a jump for us. Lol. Over the last few years we've made some long hauls come football season: Hannibal River (171 miles) Troy Christian (148 miles) Bridgeport (137 miles) Lowellville (118 miles) Leavittsburg LaBrae (106 miles) Lima Central Catholic (102 miles) Fisher Catholic (98 miles) Waterloo (95 miles) West Jefferson (85 miles) Mogadore (71 miles) Marion Pleasant (50 miles) This year we have: Fort Loramie (141 miles) Arlington (79 miles) I totally agree that from a Lucas perspective it would be an improvement on travel. I was actually thinking of the other FC schools travel to Lucas. It would be a travel negative for them. That's why I think a football only membership is more attractive to the FC. Maybe there could be a gentleman's agreement to schedule Lucas in other sports if possible.

Does anyone else think that Monroeville has a legit chance at a winless season? Going through their schedule and I’d say Gibsonburg and Plymouth would be their best two chances of a win.

I remember some of the great games they had with St. Paul and competing every season for a FC title. I know it doesn’t help when you only have about 25 boys a grade and interest has gone down in football.

I definitely think there is more winnable games then those two schools.

Looking at the SC roster in the football preview and if it’s all correct, SC will be very short on numbers next year.
Juniors - 7 Sophomores- 5 Freshmen - 10

Crestview will own the FC for some years to come. NSP has been teetering on the edge of just being good, but not great for a few years imo. With the way the FC is this year, they will still be in the top 2 or 3. Western reserve normally is up and Down. I still think SC is a sleeper and could win any game.

Outside of the New London not having football this year, there has been no interest in FC talk this year.

The worst thing about this league is that it's a broken record league. The same three are always up top and the same four/five are always at the bottom. Makes it a pretty boring league imo.
