Clyde's special team's coach is probably happier than a pig in slop that he won't have to deal with Nathan Stubblefield anymore. He will have to deal with Donte McClure however and he is proving to be every bit as dangerous as Stubblefield returning kicks.
Should be a dandy in Port Clinton this Friday night.

Clyde has not lost to Port Clinton since 1991, a 14-7 verdict at Clyde. Clyde lost in 1990 at Port Clinton 32-12, the last time Port Clinton beat Clyde at home. The streak is 24. The record since PC rejoined the SBC in 1980 is 29-5.

For Port Clinton to start getting some long term respect they have to handle the Clyde's of the world. They have made great strides in moving the program forward. Now it's time to take the next step.
But, not this year. Clyde 35 Port Clinton 24.

Clyde needs to figure out a way to keep lowe contained otherwise it could be a long night for the Fliers.

I am liking Port Clintons chances in this one. Went to the Clyde Edison game last week and Edison was the better team in my opinion. The refs played a big part in the flier victory over the chargers. Clyde could not stop the chargers offense most of the night but mental mistakes cost the chargers. Both teams were very good and it was one of the best games I have seen. I think Lowe has a big night.

I wasn't at the Clyde / Edison game. I was told that Clydes qb did not have a very good game .I believe he fumbled 2-3 times and an interception .They still came away with the win when this game could of been over early. I my opinion Clyde will win this Friday 21-14

Should be a great game. I haven't seen PC this year yet, but have seen Clyde twice. Something tells me PC is the "real deal" this year, and I see them winning this game.

Week nine should be a great showdown between Edison and PC as well.

I my opinion Clyde will win this Friday 21-14 Edison made a lot of mental errors in the 2nd half. The starters haven't gotten much playing time due to scheduling tomato cans in the non conf schedule and I think that was a factor. They should be ready for the playoffs though as their schedule is better late.

I'll be at this one. Edison and Clyde are both pretty good teams. Btw the refs didn't play a factor in that game. Actually they could have been calling false start on Edison all night. Both teams will do well in the playoffs. Edison has the chance to go very deep again. By looking at both PC and Clyde's schedules, I'll favor the Fliers. PC hasn't been tested yet. Clyde- 35 PC-20.

Sounds like Clyde was inside the 10 twice, and came away with 0... Can't do that in big games.

Boy was I dead wrong about this game. Way too many big penalties and turnovers for Clyde. I'm glad they at least made it interesting at the end. Clyde out gained PC by about 130 yards but PC made a lot more big plays. Lastly, Clyde has a QB problem and it will be very interesting to see what they do there for the rest of the season. Their quarterback play was pretty dreadful tonight.

Clyde out gained PC by about 130 yards but PC made a lot more big plays. Lastly, Clyde has a QB problem and it will be very interesting to see what they do there for the rest of the season. Their quarterback play was pretty dreadful tonight. Clyde got exactly what they feared out of QB play. I said this at the beginning of the season. Against good competition, it hasn't been good, and the coaches of those other teams know it and plan for it. There's a huge lack of confidence on the Clyde team for the most critical position on the field. There won't be a change at QB next week, though. However, it'll come back to haunt that team in the playoffs. There's too much talent on the Clyde team to not be undefeated at this point in the season. Credit to Port Clinton and their team/game plan. Some missteps at the end made this game much closer than it really was. They've been building up to this over the last several years and this is their pinnacle. I expect good things in the playoffs and wouldn't be surprised to see them square off with Bellevue, which will be a great game.

A couple of thing's to me that stood out.
1. Clyde was unable to run the ball on PC. The fliers rushed for 111 yards but 74 of those came on two play's. A Sewell TD run and a Vargo scramble late in the fourth.
2. Port Clinton forced six Clyde turnovers.
3. There is a definite difference in how the ball comes out between Nicely and Vargo. Vargo has a cannon for an arm and did a really nice job rallying Clyde.
4. The biggest play of the game to me was in the first quarter. Clyde had a 4th and 1 deep in PC territory. Jacob McCoy knives through the Clyde line and drop's Frank Sewell for a loss to end the drive.
