Near as I can tell Michigan is being accused of doing something legal. A practice pretty much every team in football does to some level or another. Clemson is notorious for its sign stealing operation. You don’t know. Go back to making pizzas at Papa Johns.

Even more info coming out now from the Washington Post about how Michigan was even budgeting for the travel expenses and planning to go to 8 Ohio State games. We’re only seeing the tip of the iceberg it seems.

I guess the scout also told JJ to throw 3 picks against Bowling Green. Does anyone really think they purchased scouting tickets to BGSU games to steal their signs? We could assume those are the results when they didn't know what the other team was doing.

How do signs work in football? I see 2or 3 people giving signs on the sideline but I thought only 1 is real and they switch that around to confuse stealers. Similar to baseball signs. I don’t see how anyone can steal signs effectively unless they don’t switch and use the same signs every down. Any one know?

There has to be a pattern otherwise nobody would know what the play was. If you watch a whole game you can determine the pattern. It’s not the Enigma machine or encrypted otherwise the average college football player could never figure it out.

Michigan's loss to to TCU in the playoff makes a bit more sense now. Harder to scout against opponents that aren't determined for certain until a few weeks before the game.

That was a good article, and illustrates some good points. 1. It's not illegal to try to steal signs during a game. Probably everyone tries to do it to some extent. 2. It's not easy to react and benefit during the game even if you know what play is coming, you still have to win the battles on the field. 3. It seems as if many teams knew that Michigan put a lot of effort into sign stealing, although not many, if any, probably knew the full extent of their operation. 4. Michigan coaches and staff were involved and did BREAK RULES. 5. Even if other schools have done or are doing it, Michigan is the one that got caught, The evidence is there. As I said before, when OSU players were BREAKING RULES and got caught (for something that others had done before), the NCAA hammered them and the program. The only question I have is, will the NCAA drag their feet until after the season's over, or will they punish michigan before the playoffs?

Ohio State was one of the programs that warned TCU about scUMs sign stealing And what did Day do about it? He got beat at home with better talent. TCU beat Michigan with a far less talented team.

Looks like the identity of the PI investigator who turned over Stallions cloud information to the NCAA might be revealed. Who would have thought that Ryan Day’s brother Christopher would run a PI firm on the side called fourth and one investigations.
What a remarkable coincidence just like some other coincidences surrounding this case.
1. The Washington post article that revealed the presence of a PI firm was written by a college friend of Ryan Day.
2. OSU beat writers and insiders are always ahead of the story. Bill Greene was teasing this a month ago. Makes sense now how and why they seem to have the scoop.

when you knowingly cheat or break the rules, no matter how big or small —- you will eventually get caught . I think JH and UM wanted to get back to where they once were that they became desperate. They are getting shredded Nationwide as people view them as cheats much like the Astros in MLB.

The number of coaches who’ve basically shrugged their shoulders and said “and?” Is pretty remarkable.

Would confirm that he was in fact born on third base. Who gives a damn about an astricks? That punishment lost its juice right about when the NCAA lost its credibility.

the cards are falling in the glass house of Harbaugh. The denial by rsf is just absurd. I almost feel sorry for you,, because i lived during the Summer of 2010 with Coach Tress and how that went down.

Didn't realize that there were that many national media organizations that were in OSU's "ecosystem" following this story.

I know this isn’t one of Ohio State’s stronger teams in recent years, defense is legit, offense has work to do. And we may very well lose to Michigan. But one thing we won’t be is forever linked to the Houston Astros, lmao.

When there was a new development it was like eating a breakfast burrito made with turds and glass. Enjoy your turd burrito RF. Save room though. This is a 7 course breakfast. I know several coaches have a problem with what’s going on, I mean let’s be honest would you be ok with that happening to your team?. While you still have to execute all of that on the field the edge it gives is second to none. It’s just sad for the big ten. Our best team the last 2 years was cheating along the way…. Make that make sense.
