Good luck to all of the MOAC teams next year. It should be a really competitive league from top to bottom. I hope the recent changes work out and the conference continues to evolve into something that lasts for a long time. If the games are half as combative as this thread, it will be a great year. Good luck to the Pioneers in their new league. Maybe we will meet down the road sometime.

I never insulted you or any of the loyal fans in your district. At the very least you were insulting a football coach, WITH NO EXAMPLES OF ANY VIOLATIONS at Ontario given. Who has been disciplined for recruiting. So I stated a fact.

You tried to be sly with the insults, now the admission comes. Not at Ontario. We await your proof of a violation there. He can sit back and relax now. Ontario recruits itself, there IS proof of that My points have been made, I'm done. Have the last word as you must scooty.

Never said it was anywhere specific. Everyone has heard about the person your school hired. Accept it and move on.

Moac starting to list college commitments. Gonna be more d1 commitments then past years. In different sports. I agree the MOAC should have a few more D1 players this year on the girl side. In football, outside of Pugh from JA, I dont see anyone going D1. But like I said in a post earlier, the Starner kid from HHS has gotten some real hard looks from the MAC. This came from his position coach at HHS. I can see plenty of kids going D2 from the MOAC.

What's your guys opinion on having 1 big school, like Massillon had back in the day. Marion would become a d1 powerhouse. Compete for state, save money, and education would Thought to be better with all together. I seen there's a few people pushing for it and trying to make it happen. It wouldn't happen for a long long time but anyone like the idea? Cause man that'd be some scary good teams if you ask me. (Doubtful to happen)

Chemistry. Bigger is not always better. That and the fact the union would never stand for any teachers being let go.

No. There are many parents that like having their kids at smaller schools. Less issues overall. Plus in a smaller school there isn't the pressure to specialize you actually need the kids to play multiple sports.
So once again No.

4, I see what your saying and can understand where at first it may look like an exciting idea, but babymaker and USA have already nailed some good points right on the head. Also remember, it would probably cause so much grumbling, imagine, whoever would be the unlucky candidate to be named the head coach of that scenario lets just randomly say it was Cooke. He would immediately be accused of favoring the Pleasant kids, or the kids from that area at least. He could have a whole 2 "Pleasant" kids starting for him and still get accused of that by quite a few. Many other issues than just that, kids would start specializing in one sport, or wouldn't play because "that guy from Elgin is on the staff." I think it would just end up turning into a nightmare. Harding is headed in the right direction and with more wins to boost will attract more kids to play, Pleasant as always is very respectable, River Valley will probably always be on the right track at least under the current staff that they have. Elgin and Ridgedale? Well I hope things turn around soon for them. Marion is a pretty classic football town in which I respect a lot and enjoy when any 2 schools go at it, and consolidating them would kind of do away with that and now we're back to traveling being an issue again if that were the case.

Hartley still isn't winning it all lol. In my opinion they still probably will, please don't get me wrong this is not defending their village idiot. I just think they'll find a way to do it again. They have a very good ball team and coaching staff which I respect a lot. No worries though, I'm pretty sure Saurak has nothing to do with their success lol =)

All great opinions on that. Its doubtful to ever happen but if it did I hope everyone could come together. But still Marion is a pretty good area for sports. Some good athletes.

A school grows to having a specific number of students, then like an omeaba it divides in half and another school is formed. Big is better than huge.

Growing city communities and merging rural communities are never the same. I know this is all hypothetical talk but we can surely all agree that the smaller rural schools would never agree to a merge with Marion City Schools as we see them now.
