Welcome to the 2017 Season, the 4th year of the Dynasty League.
For those of you short on memory, TIG won the 2016 Dynasty League Championship, his first title, with a 7-5 victory over DRT.

There will be a few new rules, some of which were voted, implemented in the upcoming season. There will be 2 commissioner implemented rule changes made without vote for the running of the league. These can be voted on if they cause enough rioting among owners. Those two rule changes are as follows:
1. We voted to increase the Minors Roster to 15 this year. We will be increasing the roster size to 15 with a Minors Draft following our Active Draft[Both of which will be offline drafts like last year]. However, to curb the feeling of needing the expand the minors rosters each year, you will only be allowed to keep 13 Minors Keepers at the end of the year. This will open up a 2 Round Minors Draft each year without the need to expand Minors Rosters due to the MLB 1st year Player Draft. So you can roster 15 on your Minors Roster, but you can only keep [up to] 13 at the end of the year. Owners who keep less than 13 will still be awarded a compensatory pick, however this pick will be awarded at the END of the 1st Round and in the same Draft Order as the 1st Round[to protect Draft Order Integrity]. These changes are effective immediately. This is as good as time as any to implement, as we are all currently at 10 Minors so the effect on owners should be minimal. We are scheduled for a 5 Round Minors Draft this year to increase to 15.
2. To also protect draft order integrity, the Draft Lottery will now be split into 2 Draft Lotteries, Playoff Teams and Non Playoff Teams. Playoff teams will be eligible for draft slots 7, 8, 9, 10. Non-Playoff Teams will be eligible for slots 1,2,3,4,5,6. Minors Draft order will mirror Active Draft order.
[side note: I had toyed with the idea of making it a choice instead of a slot. So if you won the lottery, you would get 1st choice of which draft slot you wanted. However, with a good amount of owed picks for the 2017 Draft, I can see situations where that may not be fair to some owners]
Either ESPN is not allowing me to renew the league yet, or I need to be on a desktop[blocked here at work], but we are tentatively scheduled to have Keepers due on Feb 12th. There obviously will be a follow up message to this with more details.
This is fine, as I do believe we need to vote on 1 week or 2 week playoffs before I set it all up anyways. I put a poll up on last years ESPN League. See if you are able to access it to vote, but please discuss here first before voting.
