i voted for South in the poll because he has Syndergaard on his minors roster atm...if not for that i would have voted for Tesla, who has a lot of guys that i used to roster

I know this is our league board but I wanted opinions on a trade offer in another $ league I'm in. And since none of you sharks are in it I figured it might be a good sounding board.
Particulars: 12 team, 5x5 standard scoring(avg & saves) head to head but also roto winner cashes out $270 at end of year regardless of record. As of today I am 4th in roto at 79.5pts, leader is at 91.5. I am also 4th in overall standings
I give up Nelson Cruz & Dylan Bundy in return I receive Jay Bruce & Ken Giles

Obviously Giles is huge add for my saves category which I am sitting about 7th even with only having Kimbrel. Is what I am gaining in Giles enough to offset the difference in Bruce vs Cruz? Not really worried about Bundy since i think he will regress shortly. Thanks for any thoughts.

If you compare Bruce and Cruz numbers as of right now they are pretty close outside Cruz BA being about 35ish pts better. To me it's more of Bundy for Giles. If your comfortable with giving up a SP who is off to a pretty solid year for a clear needed RP I say pull the trigger. But I think you might be giving a little more value. Just my opinion.

I think that is a bad deal for you. Boomstick is awesome. Jay Bruce will go thru cold spells that would chill Martha Stewart's twat. Also, SP has been brutally shallow this season. I'd hesitate to trade Bundy, regression or not. A 3.70 era with a 1.30 whip is pretty darn close to must start this season. |
