Eight unsportsmanlike penalties sounds more like punks than bad referees. i didnt mean unsportsmanlike i ment personal fouls but if you would have seen them we were not "punks" at all we got one for celebrating a first down, one for pushing the qb out of bounds(its on 10tv if you want to see how bad it was lol) we convert a big 4th and 1 celebrate get one then Brady comes out to complain and throws a second one on him lol... ow and i didnt know it wasnt aloud in high school football for your band to play during a play they literally made a anoucement over the PA that we couldnt... then our student section tried to sit at the end of the other endzone opposite of Pleasants and we were made to go back to the stands but Pleasant didnt have to and actually one of the students were ejected from the game for something lol the refs really had no control of the game it got better but it was a zoo ..." ow and i didnt know it wasnt aloud in high school football for your band to play during a play they literally made a anoucement over the PA that we couldnt..." If you didn't know this rule, it casts doubt on the validity of anything else you say.

Harding 41-21 was the final. So how did Pleasant get those safeties for their first 2 scores? The first safety was a result of our punt returner making a mistake he fair caught a ball on the 1 yard line.... we went for a bomb had a receiver open and he dropped it next play safety lol.... the second one was werid we got pinned inside the 5 again on a punt lose yards on both plays for a safety.... The refs tonight were OFFAL especially the one... ive never seen Harding given 8 unsportsmen like penalties... it was a crazy game dare i say felt like a RIVALRY game... I thought Booker should have had a penalty for taking his helmet off before running off the field. Or is that not a penalty in high school?

It will be humorous to see Booker in the Pleasant team picture and listed on the roster for Pleasant in the fall sports program.

JA gonna score on anyone but hhs line had no push, JA o line is great. But JA defense isn't good I didn't see anything impressing, take over the turnovers on good drives and Harding has atleast 35 if not more. They drove every time basically besides a couple punts. If a frog had wings, he wouldn't bump his *** every time he hopped.

Asked one of the band mothers why the band boosters didn't sell tee shirts or something along those lines at the game. Would have gotten a lot of money I think. Maybe even something like pink carnations.

28-7 Pleasant final. BV not showing much interest in playing football right now. My guess is they don't win another game. Pleasant didn't really impress me much. As bad as BV was tonight, this had no business being a game beyond the first quarter, but the Spartans couldn't put them away even though they had opportunities. Pleasant had the same problem with River Valley and North Union. In all three games played nearly the entire first half in the opponents half of the field but the score certainly did not reflect that.

Long time Pleasant coach Chris Kubbs was 21 years on the sidelines for the Spartans with a record of 206-40.

Some "golly gee wiz, who really cares?" information from the OHSAA website. Marion Harding ranks 79th in the state by number of victories with a record of 431-505-31. Pleasant is the other Marion county team checking in at number 82 with a record of 401-155-0.

Watched Pleasant beat Ridgedale at Harding in 2002 regional semis on Pleasant's way to the state championship in D5 that year. Four years later I watched Ashland beat Tiffin Columbian in D2 regional semi. Nothing quite like the smoke and aroma coming up at the south end of the home stands from the concession brats stand.

There is no atmosphere in moac like Harding games. The amount of people there at the games other schools can't compare. why i cant wait till we get turf and hopefully get some playoff games might be bias but Harding stadium is one of the coolest stadiums in central ohio with its set up really like what they are doing with it Does that mean you'd rather host 2nd and 3rd round games in the play-offs than play in them?

OHSAA keeps the number of teams in each region close to the same. In d2 it is 26 or 27 Harding and Lima just got caught up in a numbers game as did two Youngstown schools getting put into region 7.

I think that about the best Harding can do in their region is 11th, maybe 10th. Having lost their OOC games they are now in that area where 2nd level points are a wash. They should lose two more games.

...Geographically, Harding is a great fit. Numerically, probably not so much but they were the only viable option at the time. ... The MOAC was the only viable option for Harding, not that Harding was the only viable option for the MOAC..

North Union had that same unsportsmanlike problem when they played Hartley two years in a row 4 or 5 years ago. They were the only team I ever heard posters from Hartley complain about cheap shots.

I may have posted this earlier, but don't recall. There used to be a joke around Marion that Harding had great teams in junior high but when they got to high school they were too old to play.

IMO... Pugh is the best athlete to come out of the MOAC since Jeff Thiel from Ridgedale I would throw Trevor Harris into that mix as well as Brad Martin who got a four year ride to Indiana. I remember Jeff, but he needed more players around him.
