OSU needs to shore up the rpo defense. They rotate a lot on the DL. I could see them tightening that rotation up some. I like the Front of #2Young #53Hamilton #9Cornell #11Smith/ #33Harrison #67 Landers is kinda small and gets blocked,,as does #54 Tyler Friday.

I kinda felt it was conservative play calling if previous games were anything to go by.

Redskin wares blue glasses most of the time. The one and only thing in his post that I agree with is,,," if Patterson doesn't play well, it's going to be ugly"
I'm a huge OSU homer,,but I'd say man for man,,,OSU is better at 18/22 positions on O and D. The huge difference being our D vs UM's D.
I do agree UM is playing well,,but you have to take into account against whom did they play well. They did play well against PSU. I'm sure that and the ND game are giving them hopes of an upset.

It's early guys. Remember the opener vs Upper last year. Then fast forward to the District Finals. We'll be ok. Give the Coaches a chance to figure it out. Give the players a chance to get into basketball mode after several practices and some games. Should be fun to watch the team evolve.

What is pretty rich is how the Norwalkians think they have a "hot program" because of a couple winning seasons in a row. Nothing but losses for about 40 + years over there till last year. And with a huge student body and a bunch of move ins. You guys will never be anything other than St Paul's little brother

For sport 24278 I did the same regarding Norwalk football. Ready for that State Semi game, and all the Glory from WLKR and the Norwalk Reflector.

If they didn't have Pinkston last night it probably did effect the overall performance. Does the Cok boy bring anything to the table at all? Haven't heard his name mentioned. Did the Slone boy come back out?

The question I have is when was the 2019-2020 schedule made? Because it was not until the middle of the early season last year that it became apparent this group was a significant upgrade in talent from previous seasons and could go toe to toe against Mans Sr and Sandusky and the like. I agree with tc,,,iron sharpens iron and when you have the horses you'd like to push them to get better and that's against better comp. When Willard was in their hayday under Coach Haas and Coach Noss,,,we hardly ever played schools that were smaller than us. I do think the talent played a part in that thinking though and we certainly had a much bigger student body to pull kids from.
Once again it's great to be relevant again and to be able to have players that are college level athletes and to at least talk of Regionals and the like. I'm anxious to see Pinkston play and see what I hope will be significant improvement as he'll be the 3rd scorer which will be important to our teams destiny down the road.

Ohio State has held a few defensive players out in anticipation of this game and the following vs UM. Baron Browning specifically and Damon Arnette recently. Obviously Chase Young was suspended and he wasn't held out by choice. Anxious to see how this unit performs after these 3 key players have sat out but are once again part of the gameplan. I kinda think Penn St is a little over rated and especially on defense we really get after them and shut them down. Unless something really crazy happens, OSU wins big once again imo.

When I was driving past our football field this week I was wondering how these playoff teams practice in a week full of crap mid November weather. It appears as though Sandusky made the wise choice. Albeit not the more fun one for the players.

Vil was nowhere near as good as previous years. That being said, it was a coming out party for DJ Carton and basically the entire OSU backcourt. When your guards can handle the ball, penetrate and score--you have a distinct advantage over your opponent.
With two pretty decent players on the bench who were hurt for this game, whoah OSU seems pretty deep.
They will get challenged quite a bit in the non conference with NC KY WV coming up.
Unless i'm off my mark, I say we'll be in the top 3 in the Big Ten and a threat to win it.

Something I read this morning. As per Bill Greene who is pretty much connected and on point says it was the MD RB coach and Chase Youngs' former HS coach who reported the incident to OSU. Pretty cold of him. Must be no love loss there with that former HS coach and former HS player.
CLB --28 in a 25,,thats' ridiculous. I would have contested that one.

Archie was famous at OSU when he was there. Two Heisman Trophies. In his era,,top guy. About 5th best all time OSU RB imo. Zeke was all time Best imo. Jerry Lucas was def "THE' guy during his college timeframe also. Jack without peer. Jessie Without peer.

Because the court of public opinion is quite strong about the Chase Young situation,,I think one more game out is gonna be the deal. People in general, not just OSU fans,,are sick of the athletes being treated like this over what should be a non issue. "A small loan to a family friend' that has since been repaid. There was no taking money from an agent or whatever as some had suggested.

Not big enough nor strong enough. An example of a kid who would have been better off at Akron or Kent or BG. Sometimes you aren't quite good enough to beat out the comp at OSU. If you are a RB or a DB,,,my gosh you had better be good or you'll sit.

One persons' opinion League Title--Yes Sectional Title--yes District Title--Yes provided nothing unexpected happens within the roster like past history in Willard. Regional Title--I really think winning a game at the Regional is my top end wish. If we do that, I think our program will have accomplished a lot. I think it's doable if things go the way we hope. Winning the Regional,,matchups and matchups determine so much.

More importantly, how will norwalk survive without a harroway in the lineup? Will they become the program of yesteryear 10-10 and a handful of people who care being the norm. Clearly they are the Premier Football school in the area, for the near future with Nick Saban at the helm where talent doesn't matter only coaching does.
And, will they EVER have a facility for their athletes that doesn't play 2nd fiddle to Willards? Football Field, Basketball Gym, Track

What I'm wondering is: Why is this coming to light now? Who brought it to OSU's attention?
My guess is there is someone involved in Chases' or his families life that is or has been recently pushed out and is feeling scorned. Either way, once again a ridiculous example of how an athlete cannot hardly breathe without the NCAA becoming involved in a negative way with a punishment that hurts the team and himself for what seems like such an everyday event that a normal non student athlete would never be punished for.
Amazing how the suggested #1 player in College Football gets pinpointed. Not the 3rd team DB who's also on scholarship. It's almost like profiling to find someone who is of significance and newsworthy. Makes me sick!
