It wasn't reported by the news programs that I watched, thanks for the correction bighoss. And I fully support your statement that we don't have to agree on this topic. However, those kneeling (and the NFL in general) will have to deal with the repercussions.

So the NFL owners come out and basically blast Trump, while siding with their players. Yet none of those same owners are willing to sign Kapernick, the post child for the entire anthem fiasco. Can you say hypocrites? And my son attended the Browns/Colts game yesterday in Indy. He said the players got booed quite loudly when they kneeled, yet I didn't see that reported yesterday on the news (more selective reporting by the media).

That would REALLY surprise me, since the running clock can't be used until the 2nd half.

Norwalk coach never pulls his starters in those situations. And I'm not sure why Armstrong was still throwing the ball with 7 minutes to go in the 4th, with a 41-14 lead.

No offense to Margaretta, but Norwalk should be embarrassed to have this game on their schedule.

Kinda like Willard doesn't have JV team to play Norwalk, but the next week Willard JV is able to play Plymouth?

So why couldn't Willard play a JV game in week 1 vs Norwalk, yet they were ok to play one in week 2? I know the Norwalk/Willard frosh played each other.

So Willard played a JV game this past weekend? If so, why did they cancel their week 1 JV game vs Norwalk?

Barrett is awful...just awful enough to be named co-Big 10 offensive player of the week...shared the award with Barkley.

Our HS charges $20.00 for a fall sports pass, gets a student into all football/volleyball/soccer contests. They charge $30.00 for a winter sports pass, gets a student into all boys basketball/girls basketball/wrestling contests. At times our Athetlic Boosters would cover tickets costs for students, if it was a really big game and we wanted to encourage student attendance. Sometimes it would help, sometimes it wouldn't. And unfortunately, most athletic departments need that ticket revenue to help offset costs.

And there it is, the annual complaint about the Thunderbolts program. If so many people in Willard dislike that program and blame it for all the ills at the varsity level, why do parents continue to let their children participate? Lack of numbers at the varsity level is a problem at most area schools, not just Willard. At the MS level, you can either play football or run XC in the fall. Once you get to HS, you can play football or run XC or play soccer or golf or devote yourself to the band or you can decide to sit at home and do nothing. Did you notice the size of the Norwalk team last night, and that's a D3 program. Our coach even stated in the paper that his goal is to get 12-15 kids per class. That means he's happy with a varsity squad of 36-45, which seems small to me.

Kizer named the starter for 3rd preseason game, which typically means you're the starter for week 1 of the regular season.

Cavs are definitely in an interesting spot now with that Brooklyn 1st round pick in the 2018 draft. If Lebron is leaving, you hold that pick and draft a stud. If Lebron is staying, then perhaps you move that pick for an established player. It would certainly help if Lebron made his intentions known, but that isn't likely to happen.

I was reading Rotoworld a short time ago, and damn near threw up my lunch. A source mentioned that Mike Brown is on the OSU "radar". If that is true, call Thad and tell him that you changed your mind.

Correct me if I'm wrong but I don't believe that officials are assigned multiple playoff games in a weekend as it is. That being said, this would seem to me to potentially have a negative effect on attendance since fans can no longer attend multiple playoff games. I just assumed (perhaps incorrectly) that some guys worked on Friday and then would work again on Saturday. If that's not the case, then I guess it wouldn't be an issue. So if a public/private play at the same field and both qualify to host, then somebody would have to play on Saturday. And I agree on the downside of not allowing fans to attend multiple games each weekend.

Do they really have enough officials to pull that off? Or should I say enough "quality" officials?

dude, In most cases the youth league is not run by the school but by the city youth center. The head coach has no say on how it is run so anybody can coach a team even if he has no idea on what to do with a basketball. It's sad but a public school has other things that are school sponsor. And if Trump has his way there will be more programs cut cause he has to find some way to pay for the wall. If that were true then it should work both ways. The youth center worker has no say in what goes on at the school. I was speaking of the school's youth programs that are run for kids playing sport. Not every district has a city youth center. Cutting waste is always a good idea. Make America great. Actually, most youth leagues are NOT run by the city youth center, unless you're talking about really young kids. Once you get to about 4th grade, there are organized travel leagues that aren't connected to the Rec leagues. Some are run completely independent of the school system and their upper level coaches, while some have a connection and offer guidance. And there are arguments to be made on both sides on how that youth organization should be run.
