Gibsonburg scores now complete back to 1960, except one missing score.
Woodmore scores are also now complete for the entire existence of the school.

Tom Howell IN at Buckeye Central. He would be the first non-rookie coach at BC since Dick Heath's 1st and 2nd stint.

Have updated the Gibsonburg details from the mid-70s through 1999/00. If anyone has access to a 1999/00 Gibsonburg yearbook, I'm missing one score (vs Holgate) as it didn't make the Fremont News Messenger or the Toldeo Blade and Google is missing the Bryan Times that would have covered that game.

Blatent Plug/FYI. With this seasons updates, over the past month or so, I have added the game-by-game scoring details I have collected for around 100 schools. I have only added for schools that were in area leagues this past season and will work on adding other schools throughout the year. For school's in Crawford and the neighboring counties (Wyandot, Marion, Morrow, Richland, Huron, Seneca), the previous roster links have been updated to include the actual game-by-game details as opposed to just the season totals. For reference, Buckeye Central is below. crawfordcountybasketball.com/buckeyecentral.htmlFor school's outside of the neighboring Counties, a link has been added at the bottom of their yearly-win-loss record page. For reference Sandusky is below. crawfordcountybasketball.com/sandusky.htmlMain page is below with links to each of the county indexes and a link for "Other Schools". www.crawfordcountybasketball.com/

Process of elimination after I found Carey being referred to as the Cayaugas in a yearbook. St. Paul was likely referred to as the Tuscaroras.

It strikes me as odd, to name a highschool conference 'League of Six Nations' (Carey 32-38) What's the story behind that? If I had to guess it would be because there were originally 6 schools. Also probably a nod to the Iroquis League of Six Nations, whose western most group was the Senecas. Here is the league's timeline 1932 Calvert Carey Crestline St. Paul St. Wendelin Upper Sandusky | 1933 Calvert Carey Crestline St. Paul St. Wendelin Upper Sandusky
| 1934 Calvert Carey Crestline St. Paul St. Wendelin Upper Sandusky
| 1935 Calvert Carey Crestline St. Paul St. Wendelin Upper Sandusky | 1936 Calvert Carey Crestline St. Paul St. Wendelin Upper Sandusky | 1937 Calvert Carey Crestline Marion St. Mary St. Wendelin Upper Sandusky
| 1938 Calvert Carey Crestline Marion St. Mary St. Wendelin Upper Sandusky
| 1939 Calvert Crestline Marion St. Mary St. Wendelin
| 1940 Calvert Crestline Marion St. Mary St. Wendelin
|
Nicknames weren't necessarily an official thing for schools yet, but I remember coming across an article where each of the school's took on a nickname referencing a local native american tribe. Calvert was the Senecas Carey was the Cayugas (sometimes referenced as the warriors (little w) in yearbooks/articles) Crestline was the Onondogas (later called the Railroaders and then the Bulldogs) St. Paul was ? (also called Crimson & Greys and Saints) St. Wendelin was the Mohawks Upper Sandusky was the Oneidas (Upper's yearbook was also called the Indian Village) League was named by student Ralph Seislove of Calvert in a league naming contest.

Not that it actually matters, but if the KMAC wanted to have its name continue to be at least somewhat accurate, Loudonville would be the choice, since at least a small part of that district is in Knox County. We meant to call our selves the Knox-Morrow-Ashland Conference.

25 vs Seneca East. At 1508, needs 32 1/3 pg (to tie) with no tournament victories. He has "only" passed that number 6 times in his career. The 4 points scored in the final two games last year are going to be tough to overcome.

I know the last time St. Paul was 7-0 was 74-75, when was the last time they went 8-0 ? I've got them going 13-0 to start 1974/75 (lost to Monroeville) and 17-0 to start 1958/59 (lost to Gibsonburg in the Class A Exempt Tournament) .

FWIW. According to thesaurus.com tournament is a synonym for playoff but playoff is not a synonym for tournament. Weird. Probably because all playoffs are tournaments, but not all tournaments are playoffs.

Great job as usual awe. In Class A back in '73, no district title for Delta. There were just 4 districts that year (held at Defiance, Bellevue, Lima Senior, and Lima Bath) with St. Pete, Wapak St. Joe, Holgate, and USV winning championships. Good catch. Went back to my file, and see that Delphos St. John's is right above Delta alphabetically, and they won a AA title that year.

Do you know when those consolidations happened? I wanna say early 60's for York and late 60's or early 70's for Thompson? I did know that Thompson was used for a while after the consolidation, as that gives Bellevue the distinction of having operated schools in all 4 counties (just never all 4 at the same time) Also, do you remember Pike and McKim elemetaries, or know when they closed? I'm guessing McKim was replaced by Ridge and that Pike closed after they started using York? Read more: ncoast.proboards.com/thread/2185/huron-county-2019#ixzz5huAUlQmfYes York was first in the mid 60's followed by Thompson in 1970. Pike was closed probably when Shumaker and York came into play at that time as pivotal elementary schools, say late 50s/early60s absorbed by Ellis and Shumaker most likely. MckIM closed as a result of Ridge in the early to mid 60s. The Elementary school attendance zones had the weirdest boundaries. The north side of town from Buckeye Street to Greenwood Park and Euclid Ave area all the way up 269 and back down Northwest Road. East of 269 students who lived in the Lyme attendance zone from Strecker Road all the way down to Route 4 and 547 over to Sandhill Road/Williams Road to Route 113 near Monroeville. Actually Williams Road north of Route 20 is Bellevue and S of 20 is Monroeville Schools. lol Ridge had the shortest attendance zone the entire east end from downtown Bellevue to 113 west of Prairie Road..What was weird though is that kids who lived in some the Ridge attendance zones went to Lyme and kids that lived south of town on Route 18 by Hogues, 269 down to Flat Rock Road to Flat Rock proper attended Ridge School. Kids who lived down Monroe Street/Baur Road all the way to the tracks went to Lyme. York had the most students with 600-700 kids with three classes of kids in each grade. The southern boundary of Bellevue schools seems to intertwine with Seneca Easts boundary and the hs is only five miles from the boundary. Clyde and parts of Tiffin City also intertwine with Bellevue in Adams Twp, yes Bellevue school busses have alot of long routes..lol Last graduating classes for Thompson and York were both '68.

Ottawa-Glandorf with their 18 titles in the same time frame is holding on line 1...and I would expect Akron St. Vincent St. Mary with 15 REGIONAL titles in the same time frame is on line 2. VASJ has about that many state titles/runner-up in this time frame as well. I didn't think VASJ would have as many, but they actually had more. 16 Regional titles for VASJ since 75. 10 for Canton McKinley so I would suspect they have quite a few District titles in this time frame as well. From my spot checking I didn't see anyone else that looked like they had 10 final four appearances since 75.

This will be Willard's first ever game at the Stroh Center as the rest of those trips to BGSU were played at Anderson Arena. Since 1975, Willard has advance to the Regionals 40% of the time. That is incredible. I'm betting no other school in the state can match that over the last 44 years. Ottawa-Glandorf with their 18 titles in the same time frame is holding on line 1...and I would expect Akron St. Vincent St. Mary with 15 REGIONAL titles in the same time frame is on line 2.

Speaking of Willard, does anyone have a roster of the 1992/93 Basketball team? I don't remember who it was, but the flashes that year had a decent frontline and they could all play inside and out. There were three or four players who were 6'3 to 6'5, I believe two of them were Rod Danhoff and Josh Sanders but I don't remember the other two, Noah Feltner? Dustin Adams? Mark Ward? Those guys could fly. www.crawfordcountybasketball.com/willardrosters.pdf

Where does KIPP play their home games at? I think they are supposed to have a stadium on their campus for next year.
