That's why the players deserve their fair share of criticism for this dismal program

Rankings do not necessarily translate into performance. And yes that is where coaching comes into placebut its not a 30-pointdifference. Too many individuals and not enough team players and that's Holtmanns fault

Agree that Holtmann must go - been saying that. But he does not recruit B1G talent. Coaching is not a 30-point difference IMO. We all tend to look at osu players as some of the best around and certainly as some of the best in the B1 G and they are obviously not IMO.

Things don’t get any easier either as they face #10 Illinois next and then Iowa after that, who may not be ranked but always a tough team. The talent is there, it’s just not being used to its full potential. I am not convinced that the talent is there. Street talent yes, but B!G -caliber type talent, I dont see it. Every B1G team OSU plays out-muscles them, moves better, sets up shots better etc. For OSU its plenty of one on one game. Hoping the next coach knows how to recruit B1G type talent, and not just good one--on-one street players. Know many disagree with me, but that IMO, is Holtmanns biggest weakness,

Do possible sanctions make hiring a replacement coach harder? IMO that's probably why scUM will stay in-house for the replacement

Great win for the Lady Bucks before a full house and national TV audience. Begs the question - why are the Lady Bucks more exciting than their male counterparts? Good to see Ryan Day and Marvelous Marvin at the game.

scUM may be terrible -- but under Holtman, OSU is worse. Give us a parting gift Gene Smith, ship Holtman back to wherever he came from.

Had a big rebounding edge but somehow that didn't translate into close-in points. As a complete aside, everyone's assumes Day is on the hot seat but I think Holtman's perch is hotter. In any case the new AD is gonna have alot of issues in the two money maker sports to ADDRESS IMO.

Indiana killed Bucks inside. Once the 3well dried up there was no hope. Would be interesting to see Holtman's road record in the B!G. Cant be over 500.

It was a pleasure listening to a real pro do the Shelby/Ontario game. Watched the replay and have to laugh at the local guy who was absolutely positive that the running clock starts at 30 --- no according to the OHSAA it starts at 35 point differential in the second half. It was good to see others for Shelby step-up but it was vs a team that has no defense. Everyone does realize that three of the five Ontario starters are kids who at one time played for Shelby, so it was basically an open-gym contest in a lot of respects. Id have to guess that tonight vs AShland will be a much different story with Bruskotter shouldering more of the scoring burden. Wouldnt be surprised if a mediocre Arrow team upsets Shelby though.

Really think Shelby has regressed a little since the start of the season. Initially they played more team ball, IMO, with multiple players not afraid to take shots or make plays. Now, if you watch in the last few games. it's been the team working to get Bruskotter the ball and once he gets it, there's very little movement from the other players. And if they get the ball back, they dont appear to be looking to shoot but rather looking to free Alex for the shot. Gotta have all five floor players be viable shot options and WILLING to take a shot -- and right now I don;t see that from this team like I did early on. Just my observation

Gee, why did Smith go Ofer from 3 pt range? Just a bad night, right? I thought he was all-ohio. Normally stud players step up in big games. Or did a 10TH grader shut him down?
If anyone thinks Lima wasn't essentially a home game for OG, they obviously weren't there. I was and it was basically a home game environment.
OK to be a shelby hater, but the Shelby team won in a hostile environment against a good team last night. Officials did not determine that game the kids did.
There were head scratching fouls called throughout the game especially early in the game. Unless you have worn the stripes in such a game situation, you have no concept of bang-bang plays. Refs do best they can and are human. I urge you all to get a license and join in the fun.

These are the games in "normal" seasons the Browns lose (losing to teams they should easily beat). We shall see, weather wont be good

Be thankful osu is not in playoffs. Not sure we could beat Texas, Oklahoma State or any of others with McCord and Day tandem. Shameful waste of talent by osu and Day. Hopefully get a chump team in a bowl game or we'll get embarrassed after most skill players sit that one out.
