Says the most ignorant person in the world. AGAIN, young people DO NOT chug down fine wine for an alcohol buzz. You can buy 2 twelve packs of beer for about the minimum price of one 750 ml bottle of a fine wine. What the hell does that have to do if you watched the movie The Hangover? Also if a “moderator” can answer this question for me. Why is this person allowed to call me ignorant time after time? I speak as spoken to.

Not good news on Miller. Won’t be allowed to pitch off a mound for 10 days. Starting to look like a lost year, but really only need him for the playoffs

Lost but not out. They're not playing well on the road. They're not playing well against teams with records over .500. The Indians have by far the easiest path to the playoffs, but can they win a game once they get there?
With the pitching depth the organization has and the paucity of hitting in the minors and on the major league roster, outside of a couple of players. The REAL question becomes and I hate to say it. When do they trade Kluber? For a couple of talented everyday players to make a better run OR for a bunch of great young prospects for the future.
Kluber is 32 and under contract for 3 more years with a VERY friendly contract for a top of the line #1 starter at a max of $14 Millon, considering that's what Kipnis makes next year.
With that, keep in mind that Miller 33(injuries), Brantley 31(injuries), Cody Allen 29(a lot of appearances the past 4 years) and Chisenhall 29(injuries) are free agents next year. It might be time to also trade any or all of them as well. If Kluber is traded for a bunch of prospects.
Thoughts?

Why would you trade the ace of a staff on a team headed to the postseason?

The question was when. The most difficult decision GMs have to make is when to trade star players. Get maximum value before the bottom falls out. Especially pitchers, due to their frailty. There are NINE teams in baseball with a better record than Cleveland and the Tribe has all of those easy game against Central Division teams. Playing in any other Division they don't have a good enough team to make the play offs. Should their goal be to make the playoffs in by far the easiest Division in baseball or win a World Series? We're not talking Dynasty League.

I think you play this year out and then decide. It looks like Salazar is going under the knife so he's not coming back this year (if ever). The Tribe is 6th in runs scored in the MLB and 4th in the AL. That's not terrible. Kluber can win 2 games in each 7 game series they play (hopefully this year we won't ask him to win 3 games). So no don't trade him this year because the Tribe could make a run in the postseason.

The question will be, can they win a game. I hope I'm wrong, but I'm a realist. The Yankees and or Red Sox are better than last year, the Indians are not. But baseball can be a weird game.

Must of been Fillmore who called Must of or Must have? You're being untruthful again. Where did I suggest they trade Kluber this year for a couple of relievers??? The ONLY way I trade Kluber is for an All-Star center fielder or All-Star infielder and their best young arm.

I believe the Indians team at years end won't resemble the erratic, unpredictable team we now have. The pitching staff is still under development, with several rookies showing they have the stuff.

Well if the Indians have the worst Division Winner record they won't play the Wild Card Winner. The Wild Card winner will play the team with the League's best record which (atm) appears to be Houston. So...we got that going for us. And your "bet" involves a scenario that might not even happen. We won't face NYY, BOS, or HOU unless we win a series. And I like our chances vs SEA even though they have won the season series vs Cleveland.

Josh Tomlin has given up 30 Home runs in 49 innings. I respect Tito’s loyalty to his players but it’s time to pull the plug.

Even with Kluber pitching the Indians can't beat teams with winning records. His rcord is 3-7 against teams with winning records. In his last 4 games he's pitched a total of 21.2 innings and given up 15 earned runs. In the middle of the season he has lost a couple of MPH off his fastball and too many of his pitches find the middle of the plate.
He'll be 33 to start next season and is on the downward portion of the bell curve of a major league pitcher's career. He'll be 36 when his contract is up

Sounds like Kluber has a bum knee. I read where he is out till 4th game after all star break. If so why did he pitch 100+ last night?

Sounds like Kluber has a bum knee. I read where he is out till 4th game after all star break. If so why did he pitch 100+ last night? Baseball players are the most dishonest pro athletes, they don't like to be truthful about their injuries. OR management is dishonest, not wanting Kluber to pitch in the All Star game, giving his tired arm 8 days rest. The "bum knee" can't be too serious, only missing one week and already announcing he'll pitch 4 days after the All-Star game.

Actually he took an injection in it yesterday. They had planned this for now so he could getr the 10 days off needed for the injection without a DL stint.

I'm curious how Brad Zimmer is doing these days. I know he was sent down to AAA Columbus, after batting a dismal .226 and strike-out ratio of over 40%. He then injured his right shoulder and went on rehab. (He bats left and throws right) Although he bombed this season, after being named starting CF, but I still hold hopes he can re-emerge and contribute for this team. Tha batting slump can happen to anyone, he stroked the ball well in college and early minor league play and his exceptional foot speed was a plus in CF and the rare occasion he got on base. Anyone else not ready to give up on this kid?

They say the best ability is availability. His reckless style of defense in centerfield keeps him out of the lineup too much. That being said they need both him and Naquin to develop for this team's future. Chisenhall is the one I'm ready to give up on.

Chisenhall was supposedly diagnosed as 'chronic'. Zimmer plays all-out and that can inspire team-mates. OF availability is getting pretty thin. Tomlin is a huge liability to this team and I see he has been sent down. We got Plutco back and I think he is going to develop into one of our better pitchers.
