I'm gonna copy what babymaker did , but make it blue division based. Not many, but we have a few blue folks on here.
Is Highlands 0-3 record deceiving? Will MG's Oline be strong enough to continue to put up some impressive rushing numbers? With a win over Danville has C-berg once again re-loaded? Or is Danville just nowhere near as good as they were last season? Will the Pirates finally get that blue title and maybe even a playoff appearance? Could East Knox surprise some people?

Would be nice to see Dingtown play for real in November instead of just a regular season game.

I agree USA, I think coach Williams certainly has the kids hungry for that experience. The more league teams we can watch in week 11 the better.

I will say that Highland's 0-3 start is deceiving. They very well could be 2-1 right now as they have outplayed both Bloom Carroll and RV but made some mistakes that cost them. The old saying is if you play a team 10 times you will win at least once, that is not the case for the Heath game....they were good! This team has some talent but also are fairly young. At any given time they could have 5-6 sophomores in the game on defense. They will be just fine and I fully expect the wins to start rolling in with the typical battles with Fredericktown, Centerburg, and Cardinton.

Good info Ed, I was kind of under the impression it was a deceiving look, as stated before they have always seemed to turn things around when it's time for league play. I agree with the comment on Heath #10 Latioulas (sp?) appears to be able to do it all. Interesting info on how young they are, perhaps if nothing else these next seven weeks could give a glimpse of what the Scots may be able to do next season. One thing is for sure and I mean no disrespect towards Elgin, East Knox (who I think could surprise some people,) and Northmor who I think is well coached, but I'm really excited to see how the Highland, Cardington, Fredericktown, and Centerburg debacle plays out. It was interesting last season, hopefully it will be interesting again.

I expect Highland to win out until they play Cardington. That could be one for the ages for the second straight season. Mount Gilead has a solid o-line, but for their running game to be successful all year they will have to develop a passing game. Teams will start to load the box. I don't know what to make of Centerburg. I believe that if Cardington gets thru rivalry week with a W, they will finally burst thru and win the Blue and make a week 11 appearance. I expect EK to upset at least two teams that should beat them. Elgin vs Northmor might be a battle for one victory seasons.

I can only assume the Cardington/Highland game this year will pick up right where last years left off.

Who would be the biggest upset of the week? Fairbanks, East Knox, someone else? Geesh thats a good question, I suppose I think it's just a tad less likely that Fairbanks would beat Harding so I suppose I would call that the bigger upset. I'm afraid both teams between EK and Fairbanks might get smacked in week 4. Similar stories for weeks 1-3 at Harding and at Highland, coming fairly close with pretty tough competition, both have to be licking their chops all week...apologize to any Bulldog or Panther faithful, but in both of these games I get the imagery of a deer looking straight into a semi trucks headlights.

Week 4 Highland over East Knox 35-7 = I know 35 is what Highland scored on RV so I'm not saying that EKs defense is as good as RVs just other factors. For one Highland will win this one and considering that EK is coached by a former Scot, I doubt Highland makes it too embarrassing. Jon Alder over Pleasant 42-14 = I don't mean to speak poorly of Pleasant, I just think JA really is that good! Cardington over Mount Gilead 56-35 = So I'm pretty sure I earned myself a spot on Pirate80s poop list (and rightfully so probably) for predicting MG scores 35 in this one. Regardless of the score I don't think there is any way the Pirates lose. River Valley over North Union 21-14 = Honestly I'm ready for this one to go either way, I just look for a good close ball game. Buckeye Valley over Galion 35-7 = Buckeye Valley got beat by a team that will probably lose to no one except for maybe Steubenville in the region 15 finals in Johnstown Monroe, and also BV took a 3-0 Hayes team down to the wire. I think they control Friday night and probably score more than just 35 and maybe depending on Galions health pitch a shutout too. Cenerburg over Northmor 42-0 = Can't see Northmor being able to have any answers tomorrow. Fredericktown over Elgin 28-7 = Perhaps a bit more lopsided Harding over Fairbanks 42-0 = Harding has played tough in all 3 of their losses to pretty good teams, I think Fairbanks has improved quite a bit, not sure if it's enough to win many/any league games though.

Stanley I'd almost put money that Fairbanks could put up at least 7 on Harding. You want to bet? I'll go 50 dollars on it. I'm thinking this might be easy money for me. I need to pay a bill. LOL

Harding vs Fairbanks? If the Prexies don't win big they should hand in their gear and end their season.

Thank goodness I didn't bet Stanley. LOL I would have been out 50 dollars on the last time I checked the scores. That was a pretty good prediction..my friend.
I left the Buckeye Valley vs Galion game at half time. It was 28-0, and I got to get up at 0100. I'm gonna say this I think the score is like 35-3 now Buckeye Valley. That team does not impress me too much. The way I was reading that Buckeye Valley was suppose to be all that. The quarterback wasn't that impressive to me throwing. We had 2 interceptions in the half, and he missed a wide open receiver on a 2-point play in the 2nd quarter. He's a decent scrambler though. Maybe he had an off game or maybe they had tons of players hurt. I looked at our defensive on "most" plays having someone right there to stop the runner or qb, but of course we don't have anyone who can make that initial tackle. We have to be one of the poorest tackling teams. We keep getting kids injured. Our backup quarterback left the game in the 2nd quarter with a dislocated shoulder. Then our back-up to our backup got hurt for a play was laying in pain on the sideline. I think just cramps. What I don't understand is why is only our kids getting hurt? Is it our conditioning program not up to par? I don't ever see any of the opponent's kids hurt. I can't figure it out.
We started off the game holding them on a 3rd down run by gang-tackling the runner for a 2 yard loss, but of course we got a facemask..15 yard penalty. They didn't score, because we intercepted the ball. We moved right down the field, but they stopped us on there like 35 yard line and we tried a very..very long field goal that just went wide-left. Buckeye Valley's first score came on a punt return that I noticed our two best and fastest cornerbacks were out of the game for the return. Why would you keep those kids off the field on key kick like that? The kid literally ran 55 yards untouched. It went down hill from there.
It's frustrating watching a game like this, when you know if we would have a key player on the field. Yeah! I'm gonna say it...my son. It would have been a much more competitive game. Buckeye Valley could not put any real pressure on our quarterback. UNLESS that was their game plan, lay back and make him beat you by the pass. I don't know I just don't think Buckeye Valley is that good. I honestly felt Keystone look better last week than Buckeye Valley did tonight. They will get beat by Jonathan Alder, Pleasant and Harding. I bet. What's everyone elses' opinions that were there? Do you feel you have that good of a team?

But since you brought it up if you son felt well enough to be running around playing catch in non athletic footwear before the game why wasn't he out there. Seems to me that's pretty risky behavior for a kid rehabbing an injury.

I was disappointed to find my seat and see him in street clothes again but im sure his dad or a physician have more insight than anyone sitting in the stands.

No argument there, but if he's going to be running around or "testing" it or whatever let's put him in cleats or at the very least a decent pair of Nikes. Running around with what he had on his feet is just inviting disaster.

One it's his knee, and it's a VERY SERIOUS serious injury. One I was told by the doc that could be a "CAREER-ENDING" inury. I want him back out there asap, but the doc doesn't want him hurt again. He can run, but not make sharp cuts on it....at all yet. So we will see, I doubt you will see him anytime soon. Though he wanted to go against Buckeye Valley. It's so sad to me. He is trying to compete for a college football scholarship. Friday we are getting a second opinion from a surgeon. Tuesday he starts his physical therapy. He wants to be out there to help his team. ...He just got his $800 knee brace today was excited to try it out, plus he wants to play really bad.
