My thoughts: I would be pretty disappointed if the trades got thrown out given I traded significant material on my team to acquire them. It was part of my strategy in 2019 and doesn't make sense that we would just throw out part of my team's assets because it was technically listed as "2020" when the intention was the next held active draft. If we are going to throw out some stuff and not others, I would think we've reached the time for a complete re-draft.

There are 3 columns: Trade Transaction # and the team owners name involved in the trade. The transaction # is just an identifier I used for reference to make sure we had all the picks accounted for going into a draft. Let me know if there are any questions. Trade Transaction #

It helps that no one traded a 2021 active draft pick in 2019. The only 2021 pick that was traded in 2019 was a 2021 minor pick swap between me and SOUTH where SOUTH had his choice. My 2 cents... |

The picks should certainly carry over.....I know I owe my first to Tesl. IMO it’s not even a question if they should or shouldn’t.

just chiming in on the traded picks. I don't think this needs a vote, with losing 2020 season those picks should roll into 2021 draft.

We live drafting? I was wondering if the site had a slow draft option? CBS allows you to pick without a timer. So it would be a live no timed draft and we finished 25 rounds in 4 days in another league.

I would assume that's what we would do since we have always done it that way. |

Currently sorting through Keepers, and yes, I think a slow draft is probably going to work best.
and yeah, I think we can all agree without a vote that the draft pick trades carry over.

Currently Draft is scheduled to start Monday at Noon with every owner getting 24 hours to make their pick
Players from the MLB 1st Year Player draft in 2020 will not be available until the Minors draft. Dont draft them pronk,

Also, just to keep you all aware of Big Brother watching, I enabled the "Trade comments visible to all owners:"
"Check this option if you want all owners to view the comments added between the members of a trade. If unchecked, then only the owners involved in the trade and the commissioner will be able to see the comments."
I enabled it mostly because I don't want to be the only one in the league that is able to look at everyones trade comments.

Seems like they should be held back for the minors draft like we've always done. Or have the minors draft before the active draft so we can active draft without having to check draft dates. Not sure I like that though, people would be stashing MLB active players that are minors eligible.

SITH and I discussed this a bit last night.
I held them back because I thought that would be the right thing to do and kind of always what we've done, not realizing that I was the only one to trade for Minors Picks, ironically with SITH.
With that being said, there is a case to be made for maybe just holding one draft and allowing to draft anyone and scraping the Minors.
Personally, I like the individual Minors Draft, and obviously I have some stake in this claim, but if we thought it'd be best for the league to have one draft, I'd be OK with it....with some bit of compensation maybe.

Yeah I think I could get on board with just one draft. People could make the choice to draft for the future or the present, which imo is the intent of this league.
Probably something we'd have to implement next year given draft picks were already traded and my 3 first round picks would become more valuable. I think I also traded some minor picks to REDS. But... if you guys are in favor of it being implemented this draft, I'm obviously in.
We would also have to think how we would handle minors/active assignment after the draft. Now if you draft a minors guy in the active you have to burn your demotion, so it's not as attractive, but if you can draft a bunch of minors and just place them on the roster it would change the dynamics of the draft, but everyone would have the same advantage in that.
I would even consider getting rid of the minors demotion and just letting people move players from minors and active as the league allows... not sure how that would work for streaming pitchers off the minors roster, so maybe not. IDK too many ways you guys to work the system.

IMO we still hold the minors draft and then next year start with one draft. Since picks have been traded I fell that’s the best way to go at this point. We can then discuss over the year how we want to do the minors promotion and demotion.

The more I think on it, I probably lean towards a separate draft for minors as we have been doing. Either way we have to manage player eligibility to be rostered.
Plus I guess I lean towards SOUTH's original mention of 2020's MLB draft class being pushed off until a midseason minor draft. Doing that is somewhat similar to us rolling over the draft picks from 2020 to '21. And if we wanted to go to 1 draft we could figure out over the course of the season how to best implement going forward.

Just looked at the schedule and noticed it's currently set up for a 15 week regular season with the playoffs starting July 20th and the championship match ending Aug 9th.
