Yeah this team has checked out. I think Thursday against Penn St is their last real chance to win a game this season. If they lose they will end the season on a 12 game losing streak.

A big win for the ladies, defeating the Wolverines in Ann Arbor, 74-61 to up their record to 22-5. Missy Harris had 24 pts. in the winning effort.

This team was 10-3 at one point smh. went downhill when inexplicably blew UNC game went downhill after they blew the Purdue game. Also Jake are your Wolverines NIT bound or can they sneak in? 15-12, but they have a solid conference record which might save them.

I am not defending Holtmann with this statement, but what top level coach wants to come to Ohio State? Has OSU ever been a magnet for the top college coaches in the country. A tough part of being an Ohio State basketball fan is making sure we understand where we fit in right now. If we pay a coach the top salary in the country, do we have the fan support to cover it? If we pay the a coach a top salary, do we have the Boosters to pay the NIL to get the top players? Do players want to live in Columbus? A lot of top players go to Gonzaga in the middle of nowhere in Washington, if Mark Few can get players to go there, a coach can get players to come to Columbus. I know he's had success so players want to play there but just speaking geographically. Look at the top 5 in basketball right now, only one is one I'd consider a college basketball "blue blood" and that's Arizona, and they haven't even really had huge success in a long time. Look at what Nate Oats has done at Alabama, they were never considered a top basketball school and now all of a sudden they're top 5 or 10 every year. It can be done. Speaking of Nate Oats, nothing to do with what we were talking about really but him and Alabama are in some deep Sh*T. Ex Bama player Darius Miles was charged with murder of a young 23 year old girl a few months ago and he was kicked off the team after this. Now it just comes to light that Alabama's best player and projected top 5 pick next year in the NBA draft Brandon Miller supplied the gun used in the murder, Miller also informed Miles that the loaded gun was in his car when he arrived on the scene, and Miller used his car to block the road where the victim was parked. Nate Oats said in a press conference recently "We knew about that. Can't control everything everybody does outside of practice. Nobody knew that was going to happen. College kids are out, Brandon hasn't been in any type of trouble nor is he in any type of trouble in this case. Wrong spot at the wrong time." What a wild thing to say for a coach in this situation. Miller should be suspended and Oats should be in consideration for being fired for his handling of this.

Doesn't get more serious than being an accessory to a brutal murder and a coach blows it off as "Wrong spot at the wrong time" That quote would certainly apply to the innocent, executed victim in this case

This team was 10-3 at one point smh. So who will not be returning for next season? Will it be an improvement? As Holtmann and OSU get further away from a connection to Ohio High School sports, expect things to keep declining. I have heard the OHSAA has made numerous attempts to get tournament games and the Schott, St Johns and the Covelli Center only to have OSU say they are not interested at all. Ryan Day has spent hours in meetings with OHSAA officials to stay connected to Ohio sports while Holtmann does not even return a call.

Etzler and Hardman definitely need to transfer, they don’t play at all on a bad team this year, if the team gets better in the coming years how would they see minutes then? if they want to play college ball their best bet is to go down to MAC level.

It's gonna be a good one 6PM Friday Feb. 24 in Columbus. The 22-5 Buckeyes play host to the Maryland Terrapins 22-5. Not sure who's televising this big game.

Maybe they don't care about minutes.....old fashioned individuals who commit to a school, love their school and coach and stay.

Holtman is just a jackass in general. Terrible head coach, he should’ve been fired after the Oral Roberts game. Ohio State is really not a basketball school, but they have had great success with the program. They should’ve never gotten rid of Thad Matta.

I don’t think it was that Ohio state had to get rid of Matta, it was more of his health at the time forced both sides to make a decision. His last several seasons weren’t good either.

I have heard he makes almost no effort to make contact with Ohio coaches assoc. or the OHSAA to continue the relationship the previous OSU coaches have established.

Freshman the rest of the season. MAybe the best thing Holtmann can do at this point is to get Sensabaugh's stock up. He is going anyway and it could help recruiting.
