Well at least with Michigans lost to Rutgers today they're likely to miss the tourney as well.

Good to see them put things together! They'll have to win this tournament to get the big dance. The NIT is not a bad thing. They can get some valuable court time for next season.

They’ve now won 4 of their last 5. Glad to see them playing some good basketball now. Thornton is playing his best ball of the season. How tired are they going to be in their next game though? Will they have any legs left?

They were close all game in East Lansing in their only loss in that 5 game stretch. BUT this will be OSU's 3rd game in 3 days and MSUs first game since March 4th.

Sensabaugh is out for todays game with knee soreness. His desires are fine with me. Ironic the best game OSU has played since early in the season was without Sensibaugh and Key. IMO Okpara is a MUCH better defender than Key. Key's points are not needed with the scoring we're getting from the other 4 NOW on the floor. AND the offense stagnates when Key was fed in the post and everyone else stood around and watched. What you get with Key out of the lineup is more like a free flowing NBA offense with Okpara getting his double figure scoring from dunks on pick and rolls and put backs. Key will be a good back up to Okpara next season OR realize what his minutes will be and enter The Portal rehabbing his shoulder surgery. Due to seeing the growth of the long, explosive leeper, shot blocker and rebounding 7-footer. Who I expect will add 20 pounds of muscle by next season. AND Okpara has only played basketball for 5 years. One last observation between Key and Okpara, in which there is no comparison. Okpara is MUCH better at hedging and hustling back to his man in the key.

I just had a conversation with buckeyefan73 about Senseabaugh. I think Bucks are better without him

The key OSU stats from this game.... 15 assists, 9 blocks, 4 steals and only 4 turnovers. That is an amazing stat line for a young team playing the game the way it should be played.

Man I didn’t know if this game would go well being their 3rd in a row and no Sensabaugh but they actually played one of their better overall games all year. Tomorrow will be a different story though with Purdue, it’ll be interesting how we guard Edey. But what a run so far.

I watched the complete replay of the game and saw Izzo and his #1 assistant sitting next to each other on the bench just before the game started. The looks on their faces you could tell they thought they were in trouble. Players can feel vibes like that from their coaches. I can't remember who the announcer was in the last Ohio State win of the regular season, but his comment was prophetic. "No one is going to want to play this team in the Big Ten Tournament."

Watching this team now is a pleasure, win or lose. What a difference a month makes -- as WF pointed out, addition by subtraction. At least now the Bucks have someth9ng to build on, especially with the new guys waiting in the wings too. Could be a real good season next year.

The season as a whole was disappointing but I can’t say anything negative about their play lately, especially this tournament. Hopefully this gets them the confidence for next year.

Felix Gayle Bruce Three frosh all playing lights out . And Zed as a backup in the post....if he stays. Which of the incoming Freshman next year can come close to Sensibaugh's stats? Which will be needed without Sueing.

Which will be needed without Sueing. I think Royal from Pickerington most fits the mold of Sensabaugh. I don’t think he’ll have the year that Brice did but he does have a big body at 6’6 like Brice and can step out and shoot it. And Taison Chatman will be a solid pg to compliment Thornton.

That Edey kid had 31 points, but he’s also 7”5 305 pounds. What’s funny is he shot 12-25 from the field and all he did was hound in the paint.

Yep, OSU lost by 14 and Edy had an off game. I suspect he also altered shots or scared them off from taking it to the basket.
