Fair enough. I haven't seen much of him so I'll get on YouTube. With attributes like that you don't think that a MAC school might take a chance on him? As far as the state title thing I said that unless Hoban trashes Glenville there is no chance for Perkins to beat them. I would certainly prefer for Perkins to win it but I don't think that they will, I've been wrong before. A lot of people never thought Van Wert could pull it off. I too hope an area team like perkins can win it, but idk if they truly have the talent for a glenville, i think they can outcoacu glenville definitely. But i do think a mac will take a chance on young because of those things, but i dont think that makes him a true d1 talent and who knows if he ever even plays a down at the next level even with an offer, i think he looks like a d1 player and he’s a good highschool linebacker in d4 sbc, but he just doesn’t have that natural intstinct or wow factor of a d1 player, and he doesn’t have big game changing plays, he just has a few clean up tackles here and there and a few sacks from a broken down play where the db’s played amazing coverage. Dude do you want to kiss him?

Wetsu, I believe you meant Tim Anderson from Clyde Were you thinking Treyvon Raymore from Norwalk? If he went to EMU then yes, but that name isn't ringing a bell. I know Alex Gillett went to EMU

Nope Mike Brown was the right name, DL out of Sandusky HS, played at EMU from 2012-2016 and saw action in his freshman year on, went on to be a team captain his senior year!

Whatever happened to that QB Sandusky had a few years ago that broke his leg? I thought he was supposed to go Michigan State? Did that not pan out?

Can't forget that Jeff Fowler from Huron was slated to be the starting quarterback at Michigan until he broke his pelvis in Summer camp.

From my post yesterday, I was just trying to point out that the SBC doesn't produce a D1 football player on a yearly basis. So when a player does get an offer, he may be more scrutinized than he probably should be. There have been a lot of excellent players over the years and it is great to see all these names being remembered from 20+ years ago. Another name that I think has not been mentioned is Jared Martin from Clyde went to Cincinnati.

Stretching the limits(SBC), but Armstrong from Shelby was at Virginia and is now starter at NC State.

They fired coaches and he wasn’t ready for that level apparently. He should of went to a MAC school, he would of been able to be a qb.

I see Glenville stayed put at 7 in the latest AP poll even after their third loss. Perkins at #2. Hope everyone stays healthy (and eligible) heading into the playoffs.

A lot can happen in 6 weeks of playoffs. Injuries, eligibity, having an off night. All kinds of things.
A lot of luck is involved even getting to the final four. Playing with house money at that point.

After the Sandusky game, I’m still confident Perkins can take down Glenville if they can run Bunts like that! The Pirates are a multi-faceted team that will be tough to stop.

I agree, and for Perkins to make that next step it will have to be a well called pass-run offense (I know so obvious). Bunts was impressive.

I have a feeling Glenville will be a lot more stout up front than Sandusky.. they have a handful of high level D1 guys in their front 7. Don't anticipate Bunts running wild against them, but I hope I am wrong. It was good to see them establish the run last night after Sandusky stifled the passing game, which no one has been able to do this season.

Indeed Glenville will be more stout, obviously lol. However playing vs 2 deep shell calls for run game. Streaks chose a slow death, instead of playing wide open like they did vs Tiffin. That’s because they feared the outside guys but believed they could go score for score with Tiffin. They knew that would get them blown out vs the Pirates. Because, ya know, Perkins plays defense and gets stops. Sandusky wanted to keep it close til the 4th quarter, then hope for something wacky to happen in their favor. Not happening against a structured, disciplined, well coached team that can execute a game plan. Perkins was not flawless, but impressive to win 31-17 after the start Sandusky had to the game I have a feeling Glenville will be a lot more stout up front than Sandusky.. they have a handful of high level D1 guys in their front 7. Bunts isn’t the best RB they will face this year, but damn the kid cuts, hits the hole, and gets going very very quickly. If I were him, I would be licking my chops to get a chance to run wild against Glenville and show what I got.

Perkins is lucky they dont face Oak Harbor or Genoa. LOL Oak Harbor wouldn’t even beat Edison or Huron this year, let alone Perkins. That’s why OH ran away from the SBC.

After the Sandusky game, I’m still confident Perkins can take down Glenville if they can run Bunts like that! The Pirates are a multi-faceted team that will be tough to stop. That is a big IF when you are referring to running the ball like that against a team like Glenville. I love how some of the Perkins faithful can rationalize these games to make it sound that Perkiins is some unstoppable force. Congrats to Sandusky for putting up a fight and making Perkins come out an play a meaningful second half. That was much needed for Perkins. Good job to Perkins for coming out and controlling the second half. Gleniville plays very well against an extrenely tough Hoban team (28-16) and it was mentioned that the last TD by Glenville was against Hoban's JV. Either way, impressive performance by them. With no disrecpect to Sandusky, Edison, and Rocky River intended, they are not near the level of Hoban, Avon, or IMG Academy. I'd be shocked if Perkins plays those teams that close. I'm just not confident how good Perkins is as they have not played a top tier team. Maybe week 10 will change my mind as it seems Tiffin does have a top tier offense. If their defense can get a few stops or turnovers, who knows.

You gotta be kidding me. Perkins scored every possession in the 7on7 vs Oak Harbor. It’d be way worse in a scrimmage with line play. Worry about Edison, Huron, Coldwater and Liberty Center. Perkins is lucky they dont face Oak Harbor or Genoa.
