What? I've always followed football. I just started following MOAC football when Chase went to Galion 2 years ago. I'm not a patient person..WF. ....and of course some amazing players can't play Division I, but I have hard time a Mr. Football who runs for that many yards can't find a Miami, Ohio, or a Ball State to play on. ...actually my argument with you is you just forgot grades in there. That's one of the 3 things every recruiter told us all the camps that would stop you from getting a scholarship no matter how good you were...you know why? Because you can't qualify through the NCAA Eligibility Center. If you never had a child in high school, you might know their strict rules. I'm sure a person as wise as you are "WF" would know that. I can send you a link if you don't. Also if I ever move to a college football forum, how can I tick off any of you guys? That wouldn't be any fun now. (Actually I love you guys...well when you talk about actual football and not how many kids go to a school or what division some team is going to move up or down to. ha!~) I love the NC Sports Talk MOAC guys...and ladies..especially that one cute girl from the River Valley Basketball forum last year..the sister. Though I could only go on one of you guys vouching on how good she looked. I'm gonna have to take your word for it. I sure as hell hope you weren't the one with bad eye-sight though. I distinctly recall you using the excuse of not following football closely when you needed help understanding a football rule or OHSAA bylaw. You wouldn't have to check this forum if you were REALLY a football fan, to find out "how many kids go to school" or what Division schools will be in. That particular Mr. Football player must have the same personality defect as you, no patience. He needed the assurance of starting from day one, instead of going to a bigger school and having to wait his turn. I didn't forget "grades", AND other academic criteria must be considered, they're such an obvious requirement. HOWEVER, you're living in a vacuum if you don't think Universities like Notre Dame, Stanford, Northwestern, Duke and Vanderbelt to name a few, don't have different academic requirements for admitting football players VS the general student population. As compared to qualifications at Kent State, Akron or Michigan State. Ohio State has raised their entrance requirements considerably over the past decade. in 2016 the middle 50% of the Freshman class had ACT scores between 29 and 33. 98% of those admitted were in the the top 25% of their Senior class. I'd guess the other 2% included athletes, given the special disposition I mentioned. I didn't have to worry about my kids academics. Both were in the top 25% of their Senior classes, one Top 10%, at a difficult academic public school. Of couurrrsssee your children were in the top 25% of their senior class, I wouldn't expect anything less from a know-it-all. hahaha! I LOVE reading your posts WF...they make me laugh. I don't learn too much from them, but you are hilarious!

Genetics IS a factor when it comes to Intelligence Quotient. Just one more thing you've learned here. If you found that post hilarious, your IQ would be in question. BTW, read your post again. YOU were the one who questioned my kids intelligence. All I did was clear that up for you. I could have gone on for another couple of paragraphs, but refrained! You're the one that goes on and on and on about your kid....for good reason. Albeit, there is a time and place. hehehe...I'm a piper in that department compared to you.

AND also if you are a "piper", that means you like sticking things in your mouth. Get it out of your mouth..WF! Quit trying to come on to me. Let's stick to MOAC football. hehehe!

The one who was going to Wisconsin was the 1st, the one going to Western Michigan was the 2nd I had in mind.
We all know the 1st withdrew from that school. I haven't seen the 2nd listed on W. Michigan's roster anytime since graduating high school.
Not judging, just saying that they chose other options.

Unfortunately I hate seeing this, the Watkins boy first lost an opportunity with Northwestern, then Wisconsin...then Tiffin. Sometimes you just can't force a kid to play football. My oldest boy, Codi is a prime example. Dropped out of Tiffin after 1/2 year early this year..owes 11,000 dollars for school now AND never made it even on the team being disqualified for 1 year (due to NCAA Eligibility education requirements (but finished a 1/2 year at Tiffin with a 3.08 GPA). We went to camp between his junior and senior year at Findlay, and he just schooled the cornerbacks on him. He makes it look so effortlessly catching a football. Codi during his first game (after being suspended during the first game of his senior year for missing practice 2 days earlier) caught his first pass for an 8-yard slant and went 80 yards for a touchdown. Ended up with over 150 yards and 2 touchdowns in the 2nd half. The next game he falls on a fumble as a safety to start the game and breaks his collarbone. He has a real talent....that I'll never see on the football field. Waaaaaaa! LOL I got him a job at the Wooster Post Office now. It is what it is. The only son I have left is Dylan, who goes to Colonel Crawford. His sport is baseball. He's 6 ft. tall and going into 9th grad. He's an amazing hitter in baseball. I'd hate to see what his on-base percentage is. He looovvveesss baseball!
I know this sheds a tear for some of you guys on here, but you won't be hearing me brag about my sons anymore on here. I'm back in Wooster now. I've got to stay on here and follow these posts though, because I'm a single guy who has no life. lol Plus I like hearing your guy's insight on the game and league...even WF's posts. Shocking I know!

Guessing spears for rv player of the year. Early prediction. I am interested to see how Noah Thompson does at qb for Harding, he can run the ball pretty well he's quick. He's a safety and WR last year but before that was always a Qb. Im not to familiar with what NU Ontario clearfork and what they'll have.

You assumptions were incorrect and insulting. Maybe you forgot what you wrote. Possibly your lack of good sentence structure led to a misunderstanding. However, your disgusting insulting tirade above proves you lack the intellect to debate in a civil manner and that you have an ignorant ugly mouth. Go back to living your life vicariously through your teenage son. It suits you better.

Ontario and Clear Fork will fit in well with the MOAC but I did not see anything from last season that would jump out as a potential POY for either of them.

Pleasant kid last name Ladd transferred to Harding and will be playing football. Think he played jv and little varsity last year for pleasant. Looks now that is a junior will be varsity. I'm guessing #2 RB. I don't know much about him. He's short but he looks kinda bigger maybe a hard runner. Anyone know much about him.

Will he need to sit or will this be another transfer with zero penalty? Played JV latter part of the season decent kid just not better than the seniors that were ahead of him.

If he moved into the district there is no penalty.
Babymaker....the transfer with no penalty argument isn't one you wanna have if talking about PHS

Well not sure about the past unfortunately. I am sure that PHS has some nasty stuff in the past but last years miracle transfer after 2 scrimmages left me with a bad taste in my mouth. Rules seem to be fairly easy for some to break yet other have to pay a price. I will say I am glad kids no longer get whole year waits on transfers, it seemed over the top.

A lot of people who complain about the past don't know a lot about it either. They have trouble with the open enrollment idea.

Open enrollment for education can be very good. If it's done for athletics it usually upsets people.
I also feel that the sitting time for transfers should be in place. Now there is an automatic half season UNLESS, you meet one of these 30 exceptions.(sarcasm)

"moved" he lived their prior... He managed to get an exception because they flipped custody even though he didn't physically move. Seems like BS to me.

If a kid at a private school decided to transfer to his public school of residence, he may do so without penalty. I would imagine that same rule applies to a kid who is essentially open enrolling elsewhere.

Again, As a Pleasant fan, you really don't want to start a discussion about schools being able to bend and break the rules. PHS has been doing it for 25 years

I think it is bs, if a kid or their parents wants to change schools that is 100% fine because it is probably being done because of academics and there would not be any penalties for that. However, in dealing with the privilege of playing high school sports is something completely different.

You're a Pleasant fan who's mad that the trend is reversing where kids don't want to come to Pleasant because the sports and academics are going down the drain

Nope, if a family open enrolls a kid to another school district after the start of the 9th grade, he/she must sit out half of the season in every sport they played at the school they're leaving. If they participate in a sport they did not play at the previous school, they can play the entire season.
