You're a Pleasant fan who's mad that the trend is reversing where kids don't want to come to Pleasant because the sports and academics are going down the drain Let correct a few things. I don't care if a kid leaves and in all honestly it was better he did leave. My issues is loop holes in the application of the transfer rules (honestly I am a rules guy so if Pleasant did it I would be ****** about it too). I wasn't in pleasant for the last 25 years but I have been around the last 10 or so I would like to know what I have missed in the last 10 years. You have threatened to "expose pleasant" go for it, I don't have any kids in the race. If its more than 10 years old how long you going to hold a grudge? Keep in mind you are talking about skirting the transfer rules.... If sports are going down... Why in the last 4 years has pleasant made the play off 2x in football a deep run in basketball. Girls sports have had some success as well. State champ in track and multiple people make the podium. Baseball team made 2 decent runs in that time frame. Plus 4-5 kids make the state tourney in Wrestling. Yet they are "going down the drain." Academics I am not sure where you get your info but lets play the game... What academic criteria are you basing your view point on.

Pleasant kid last name Ladd transferred to Harding and will be playing football. Think he played jv and little varsity last year for pleasant. Looks now that is a junior will be varsity. I'm guessing #2 RB. I don't know much about him. He's short but he looks kinda bigger maybe a hard runner. Anyone know much about him. Will he need to sit or will this be another transfer with zero penalty? Played JV latter part of the season decent kid just not better than the seniors that were ahead of him. I wanted to be clear who you were talking about before I responded. Here is the quote from the OHSAA website: "A student shall be entitled to one transfer to the public high school located in the public school district within which the student’s parent residence is located regardless of whether the student is transferring from a public or nonpublic school." So in other words, exception 9 gives you one "free" transfer back to your home district. Can we put this to rest now?

Pleasant kid Ladd, did transfer to Harding and will follow the rules of the MOAC.. His parents live out of the district so dont you worry I think we have it under control. You were asking about Ladd... Played special teams on Varsity freshman and sophomore year. He will be a 3 year letterman, he played with some amazing seniors with so much passion for the game. They were awesome mentors to all of them. BTW.... He may be little, but built like a brick house and is FAST..

Yeah I got to checkout a practice, they'll be fast like last year. Ladd will play. D line will be strong. Thompson will be a qb that can run the ball and he has a good arm. Think he will still play safety as well. Only question is 2 cb spots and if younger WRs can step up.

So what do the scrimmage schedules look lime for the MOAC schools. Galion hosts Centerburg on the 12th at 10 AM and is at Shelby for the Jamboree Game on 18th at 6.

Will someone run a moac pick-em this year? I was just getting ready to post a thread about this. I'm willing to do it again if no one has an issue with it

Went to Galion's scrimmage vs Madison today.
Surprisingly, they looked pretty even, maybe even better in some ways than Madison.

I hear Pleasant has a new running back that has transferred in this year. Can't wait to see the comments on this one.

Was he open enrolled or a move in? Open enrolled. Here's the details courtesy of 4: Aug 3, 2017 at 4:10pm via mobile

The athlete now at pleasant, well. He got in a fight with the athlete that moved from pleasant to Harding. And he didn't win that fight and was kicked off the team for starting it. I'm Sure he will do well over at pleasant in 5 games. Kid has a bad attitude tho. He moved from Harding to rv in middle school cause didn't get his way.

Yes, he transferred to Pleasant after getting kicked off Harding for jumping a kid and other activities that were against team policies. 5 games out for the transfer rules. Ladd ironically enough transferred from Pleasant to Harding and must sit it 5 games too.

I have a hard time believing that took him as an open enroll Bruno would always pass on kids with issues. Someone must have pulled some strings.

What's the latest on North Union's move to the CBC. When are they joining for football? Appears to be holding up Shelby's move to the MOAC.

Not sure I know in the past that the school would not take troubled kids if they were applying via open enrollment. Now if he is a move in I don't think the school can stop him. As someone stated below I forgot there was a new Super so maybe her criteria is different than Bruno.

As someone stated below I forgot there was a new Super so maybe her criteria is different than Bruno. An openrollment school can not turn down "troubled kids". without looking it up again, the only things an open enrollment student can be turned down for are felonies or such things as having a weapon in school or selling drugs in school. With that being said, that does not mean a coach can't keep a "troubled kid" off his team. Superintendents have no say in open enrollment policies on what students can be accepted or turned down.

Galion scrimmaged Centerburg this morning. Galion definitely got the best of them. QB looking good with his feet on the ground. QB/WR need to be a bit sharper through the air. Defense looked pretty stout.

Glad to hear some positive things about the Tigers. Hopefully they can survive the Shelby scrimmage intact and at least come out of the gate well against Bucyrus.
