It's too early to pick anything for certain but I can see Pleasant, Harding, North Union, River Valley towards the top in no particular order. Also don't count out Ontario with Hawkins coaching there. Same goes for Clear Fork with Dave Carroll. I think this will be a good conference to be a part of but am concerned the way some especially from Pleasant and NU are griping about Harding and their size. Buckeye Valley confuses me. They are a bigger school with a lot of talent, but they seem to self destruct a lot. And Galion could well finish towards the bottom. I think they will be better than this year, but the better talent is still a year or two away from making a significant impact. Hawkins is not a good coach, just received great talent at all his schools. I played for him, we did some stupid stuff in my opinion. Kreger was just as good of a coach, and honestly around here i don't know who the best coach would be, not very good ones. Probably Dave Carroll is the best with being in the OCC and putting up good competition usually for a smaller school in that conference. I look for CF to be at the very top or competing for an MOAC title every year.

You have not seen enough football. Kreger was not better than Hawkins. He'll make a good golf coach though, as long as he has good golfers.

The final say between those two is usually in the Wins and Losses, but when that coaching careers are all over, most will remember the quality of the person.

Considering that Hawkins has left his wife for another woman, soured his relationship with other sport coaches, and has left a lot of players disgruntled on how he had done things, I don't know how he's going to do in that department. Hawkins has done better with ajustments and x/os but it is still yet to be determined if he is capable of elevating Ontario to the next level.

And Ontario knew all of this when they hired him.

How ironic is it that it was his brother in law that got him in the door. I bet that's one frosty relationship right now.

Not the first coach soap opera in this area, let a lone the state. Some know ones that others don't. Some get the coach suspended, some get them fired, some get them jail time. Some are not mentioned.

I will say Clear Fork goes undefeated in MOAC they proved they proved how good they really are beating Jonathan Alder and Harding will only win 2 one against Galion and other maybe Pleasant they are horribly coached and have zero fight in them and don't say oh they have won 2 games in last seconds they should have demolished both those teams and it shows how bad they are barely winning the 2 they have ....sad but true

Were you there? And don't post stuff like this on the weekly pick 'em. You clog things up.

I was replying to death from above and yes I was at the game I never once saw MH run off and or off the field after a timeout they would walk back on field walk to line of scrimmage etc I heard numerous people even in the student section saying why do they walk when other team is running it just shows how careless the coaching staff is that's always been an unspoken rule of football you run when on field just obviously not them

02 you just sound dumb as hell to be honest. No fight ? Yeah right. And Elgin plays no one. Mt Gilead is horrible. Worse then Fairbanks last year. They lost everything they had that made them good. The running back. I look for Harding to win 6-7. Clear fork will win the moac that's clear. I'm not gonna argue on this post but I will on another. Because I'm not sure you watch Harding at all. And Elgin might be the slowest team I've seen.

Yeah you're just delusional now. They would lose 30+. Maybe 40. They move like they running in a swamp, and they're one of the smallest teams I've seen. Minton power runs but wouldn't have those numbers against even a galion.

That's just an unfair game that wouldn't happen bc of size probably. But yeah I would say they would steamroll them.

^^^ But wait, I didn't think the size of the school mattered. I mean you only have 11 on the field for each team. Wasn't that what you said last year?

I don't believe it does matter, unless it's like a Harding against a ridgedale or Elgin.

Harding is only going to win 2 and the two teams you pick are Pleasant and Galion... I am not big on what harding brings this year but its early and they have 2 wins that is more than they had last year at this time. Until we get into league play it will be impossible to see how good some of these teams are.

He's ignorant they'll win more then 2. Clear fork is only team I will pick against Harding. That I think will beat them. But I also know they won't finish with 9 wins lol. Clear fork will prob go 10-0

Minton has power and gets well over 100yrds a game why can't Harding's power back get more then 3 yards a carry I'm sure if they (Elgin) were so small a power back wouldn't get much your Harding line is atrocious by the way

Harding isn't playing the same caliber teams as Elgin... not a fair comparison.

No one's asking for an essay. No matter what length you write, you can always input some punctuation in what you have to say to make it legible. Basic elementary composition should take care of that. No matter what we're discussing, if it interests you, wouldn't you want to be understood? Those multiple, unnecessary exclamation points are the first bit of punctuation I've known you to use, so here's your gold star:

Elgin Is playing push overs O2. Looking like Barnett from last year on mt Gilead. Hardings power runner hill would do the same on Elgin. Hill just goes in and gets 2/3 yards all he needs. Kid benches about 400 pounds so that's all they need him for is to fight couple yards here and there,
