Cross's swim program and wrestling program would dominate.Ross won trac in wrestling and sent 3 to state.Football Ross sucks bad. Around 40-50 kids varsity.Ross is weak. Your wrong Ross wouldn't dominate in wrestling even though they won the TRAC, you forget about the Oak Harbor Dual? I think Ross would dominate boys and girls swimming, plus Ross boy track is good.

Okay...with Gibsonburg and Danbury in for 2018-19, who moves up to the Bay Division from the River to accomodate the two new all-sports members?
FB - Margaretta or Willard, assuming that they are larger than the 2 new schools? Or would they go with 6-6-8?
Other Sports - Who moves up? Will they go 7-8-8 or something different?
Update -- Was not aware that St. Wendelin was closing. Football probably will end up 6-6-8 and basketball at 7-7-8. Nobody has to change divisions.

Football will be 6-6-8. Confirmed.
Fremont applied and presented to SBC last month. Conference voted unanimously to not grant them admission. Enrollment disparity is A1A concern. Nice to see the loyalty in the conference as a couple could have easily justified voting "yes". Bodes well for long-term health of the conference IMO.

Was it the disparity in the enrollment or the complete shifting of the divisions? My feeling is some people use enrollment as an excuse. Looking at the SBC divisions they do not appear to be 100% by enrollment. I would be more for good competition and good location for students and fans when making a decision. It's not like people compare Ross to the Patriots.

Comes down to football. Are there any schools in a division where there is a 200+ kid difference between largest and smallest school? No.

How many kids from Ballville and/or Lindsey/Kingsway play football? Does that matter - don't most of those kids attend Ross? Right? Ross 461 Bellevue 261 Never going to happen.

The Fremont City Schools comprise a large area outside of the city limits and have for decades. Whether a kid lives in the city, Ballville Township, Sandusky Township or Washington Township THEY ARE STILL PART OF THE SCHOOL DISTRICT.

Subtract the 35 or so boys who play soccer for Ross (that Bellevue doesn't offer) and it's 426 to 267. Also.... number of students in the Ross football program grades 9-12 is 81. Number in the Bellevue football program grades 9-12 is 88. I think Bellevue would be ok.

Ross has 461 boys.LOOK at ross's number s on varsity last 3 -4 years.Right around 50 boys 10-12!! Christ sake clydes numbers were around 70-80 last few years. Many Fremont boys are 1 sport athletes or are ineligbile or simply can't play for money reasons. A sight line indicator chad berndt told me 2013 is for ross yo watch 7 th grade numbers and if they start to drop off than a league change is needed! ! I wonder if this isn't the case

My sons are Washington elementary in lindsay attendees and 2011 and 2015 grads respectively.I know heartbreaking stories of boys who didn't have foo couldn't afford to play because they had to work or just didn't have grades!!! Or in trouble previous spring. You get in trouble in April or may it may affect upcoming season. That said you couple that with schedule we play it affects program Ross will tough out the trac and dig deep untill a spot opens. 461 boys don't mean anything

81 for Ross 9--12 is what Chad meant by low numbers in lower grades. Bellevue has 88 .It will affect depth at Ross going forward !

Funny thing is none of those schools have a problem playing the smaller river or bay schools. they have crossover games this coming year that include Edison beating up on smcc...port Clinton vs. SJCC . So as long as they get to be the bullies it's ok

Our youngest a EMT/Volunteer Lindsay fireman and welder works with a genoa grad who played on those undefeated Genoa teams was bragging how tough NBC is, our youngest says well look at number of division 1 players Fremont plays and in NFL now and current ours going to college and you talk rough. Play TCC and whitmer and findlay on back to back to back weeks. Crazy.

Fremont is at 461, Clyde is 320, Norwalk 338, Sandusky 317 how is this any different than playing divisional playoffs? Division 2 largest is 612 smallest 390... differential 222. Fremont differential to Clyde 141, Norwalk 123, Sandusky 144. Now I'm almost positive Margaretta plays Norwalk next two years because of cross overs, so Margaretta is 133 , 205 smaller than Norwalk. Hmmmm oh and Edison is 208 compared to smcc at 61

Hmmmm oh and Edison is 208 compared to smcc at 61 ------------------------------------------------------------------ If SBC schools want to play Fremont, they are free to. Sandusky is the only one that does. Margaretta vs Norwalk, Edison vs SMCC, etc. are all non-divisional games that are optional. Being required to play Fremont in your division is where the issue is. Enrollment is A1A but A1AB, and semi-related, is the fact WHEN Fremont eventually gets the right leadership in place, they will be a much different team then they have been recently. Potential coupled with being the biggest school is a double whammy that nobody is down with. Unanimous. Enough said. They've spoken and they've voted. The NLL is Fremont's only hope of reprieve from the TRAC.

You start to win more game, you have a .500 record more kids go out and more stay out at all levels. THEN you have winning records and more kids go out and stay out. THEN you get close to winning a league title and more kids go out and stay out. FINALLY you win a league title, go 8-2, make the playoffs and MORE kids go out and stay out and you become a league football power with 100 kids out for football.

So as long as they get to be the bullies it's ok The SBC does not make anyone play cross over games. If SMCC plays Edison, SMCC CHOSE to. If SJCC plays PC, SJCC CHOSE to.
