Ashland vs Mansfield Sr. next week. Big game for those schools. Winner likely to win it all. Predictions? I am going to say Mansfield Sr. in a squeaker.

Wooster Buckeye, how did Woo beat WH so bad? All I kept hearing at the golf course on Saturdays was how bad Wooster was from a certain Wooster player grandfather.

Yeah, I was surprised by the score as well. I know West Holmes is having a down year so that was part of it. Wooster has a lot of young players and I like the way they are working together and playing hard. QB has definitely improved since the beginning of the season. Having said that we have been going through the easier part of the season (Madison, Lexington, West Holmes) The competition will be much tougher the last 4 weeks. Win or lose, I like the way they have been competing.

No! Players quitting left and right! St Charles has lost to some pretty good teams.

Malabar is correct. I would put a large some of money that Madison doesn't come within 3 touchdowns of a win for the rest of the year.

Madison, for what ever reason, seems to be in a very tough place right now.

Week 7 in the OCC
Hopefully the rain quits before 7pm!!
This week's games
Mt Vernon at Wooster - The Yellow Jackets were reminded why they left the other OCC last week while the Generals whipped up on the Knights. In reality, Wooster is in first place, with it's 3-0 conference record. The Generals keep it going 28-14.
Lexington at West Holmes - Okay, I was dead wrong about the Knights last week. Here come the Minutemen to the Land of Switzerland, sharing the same 1-5 record. I'm going to go with Big Lex in a squeaker, 20-14.
Columbus St. Charles at Madison - a pair of winless teams (actually St C won last week but later forfeited). In a game that really doesn't matter much St C 35-14
Game of the Week
Ashland at Senior - Both teams come in at 5-1. Don't expect this game to be over before 10 pm. Senior won last year 45-42 although the Arrows scored It might be which team has the ball last. Tygers win 41-38.

Malabar I think your picks are spot on. Only exception I have is Mount Vernon. After seeing them a few weeks ago I would be surprised if they don't take care of Wooster. They are a very physical team with a good defense. I think MV wins this game by two scores.

46 to 20 I did not see that coming. Very bad loss for Senior, they do not want to be playing on the road in week 11 in that region.

Week 7 results
Ashland over Mansfield in a big way, 46-20 Lexington misses the bus to West Holmes and loses 55-21 Mt Vernon has a long ride home from Wooster after losing 45-21 St Charles leaves the Madison game happy after getting their first win 45-13

Should be interesting to see how Senior responds to this loss. Will they come out emotionally flat? Or will they be focused and looking for redemption?

Seems that Ashland and Senior score was close until late in the game? I heard a score at one point that seemed fairly close so I was surprised to see the final. Congrats to Wooster for the nice win. They have battled through a lot of setbacks this year.

It is a good win for Wooster. The league is good to them, non-league is not.

Great win by Ashland last night. They took advantage of their superior matchups and Senior made no adjustments. 3 other things: 1. It was 25-20 heading into the 4th quarter. Senior had their chances but kept dropping passes that hit their hands. 2. Armitage is a great QB. He throws the deep pass as well as anyone I've seen in a long time. 3. Senior becomes Ashland's best friend next week at the undefeated (in OCC) Wooster Generals. Someone said it right. How will the Tygers bounce back after the defeat? Should be a good game.

It will be very different for Ashland to play Lexington this week and not week 10. I cant remember the last time the two schools didn't play in week 10. Arrows looking to finish up strong these last three weeks.
Also, I'm not sure what flipped the switch in Wooster, but my goodness I did not see that coming last week. Should be a great game this week over in Wooster.

Drew Pasteur says: Ashland +22 Mt Vernon +21 West Holmes +22 Mansfield Sr +6
Ashland at Lexington - Coach V won't let his players have a letdown after last week's big win, so Lex corners will be busy. Running clock 2nd half Ashland 54 Lex 14 (PS Coach V, go get a soccer player for kicking, you will need it in playoffs)
Madison at Mt Vernon - The Yellow Jackets will take out their frustrations on the gritty, but outflanked Rams this week. Maybe Ashland or Senior could trade for Kyle Jackson. Who doesn't need another 6-6 receiver?? Mt Vernon 42-14
West Holmes and RiverView - Annually one of the worst teams in the state, the Black Bears?? get to lose to the high octane Knights 54-7.
Game of the Week Mansfield at Wooster - Will the Tygers still be reeling from their 4th quarter meltdown last week or will they rebound and keep their slim hopes alive for the OCC? Better yet, a place in the Div 3 State Catholic Playoffs? Wooster has dominated the 4 OCC games they've played, but none of them were called Arrows or Tygers. Still it's been a good comeback for the Generals after an 0-3 start. In a mild upset, Wooster 38-34

Game day and I have not heard of any offers being made in the Jackson trade that m10 mentioned so I will assume he is still a ram.

Trade deadline passed at week 6. He was claimed on waivers by all the teams so the Rams pulled him back.

Sorry, did not see Madison was traveling. I doubt there will be an upset in that game.

Good game last night in Wooster. Game could have gone either way. A couple key fumbles was the difference for Wooster. I am happy with the way they played. I have to admit I was writing this season off for Wooster early in the year but they keep laying hard.
