It's Thursday morning , so it is time for some in-depth analysis for this week's games in the OCC! Good luck to Clear Fork and Orrville this week. We can still cheer for former league members. Ashland at West Holmes - The Arrows are on a roll and trying to get a home game in the playoffs. Will the Knights slow Armitage to Langston? Nope! WH gets a garbage time TD as the Arrows roll 49-14. Mansfield Sr at Mt Vernon - Tygers are also trying to keep their playoff hopes alive as they travel to Bee Country. Mt Vernon has played well at home so this should be a close game. Tygers need to shore up their pass defense from the last 2 weeks or it could be an upset in the making. Manns scores 3 more TDs and the Tygers eke out a 34-28 victory. Wooster and Canton CC. - Defending Div 5 state champs having a rough season but will play the Generals tough. Are the player's heads still on the gridiron, or have the basketballs started bouncing in their heads? Tough game but Generals prevail 31-24 Game of the Week Lexington at Madison - Lex gave up 40 at home to Ashland last week and Madison gave up 62 to Mt Vernon. First team to 40 wins? Madison D showing no resistance but Lex O not showing up since Stover's injury. Madison's last and best chance for a win this year on Senior Night. Upset on Esley Lane!!!! Madison 21- Lexington 14 Good luck to all teams!!

NOT ME, only scootyDude. WE appreciate the informative pregame statement of fact, that everyone but scootyDude is in favor of hearing about.

Except Mansfield's destiny might involve a first round match up with TCC. Ouch

Except Mansfield's destiny might involve a first round match up with TCC. Ouch The way it sits right now they may love that opportunity as it would be week 13 of the season.

78% chance of playing Parma Padua in first round of playoffs. Either way, tough game on the road. Looks like Glenville at TCC.

If they both win out it is possible that Padua and TCC switch places as well.

Possible but not likely. Padua has tough game with NDCL. TCC has St John's, a team that beat Senior in game 3, albeit without Tyger QB for most of the game.

Very surprised by the Ashland/West Holmes score last week. Was it a case of Ashland looking ahead?

Even though their record does not show it WH has played some teams well and if you are not ready or do not have enough athletes for their offense they can score some points. They have not been held below 20 since week 1 and scored over 40 three times.

Just looking at the week 9 AP Poll and 5 of the top 10 teams in Division 3 are in Region 10, along with Senior. (Provided they beat Madison Friday night). Tough sledding ahead!

I think the Ashland game was a little mix of several things. 21-7 Ashland lead at half. Ashland scored on their first series of the second half to go up 28-7. After that the defense just let up to much, West Holmes got a 75 yard punt return after the ball went about 20 yards over the WH player he ran it down picked it up and ran it back. West Holmes Qb did a very good job of finding the open receivers, especially his running backs out of the backfield. Hopefully it was a good wake-up call for the Arrows D to play a full game. They did a pretty good job in the first half.

Thanks for the insights UNC. I think Ashland makes it past Wooster this week but hoping the Generals can keep it close and make a game of it.

Wow, nice job Wooster. The boys played hard tonight and played 4 quarters!. Hard to believe this is the same team that lost to Orrville in week 1.

Wow, so that makes 5 of the last 6 OCC titles being shared, with 3 of them tri-shares. Hasn't been an outright champ since Mansfield in 2013. Interesting trend after having outright champs in 8 of the first 9 years of the OCC.

Mansfield is locked into the 7 spot in region 10, and where they travel to will be determined by tonight's Hoban @ Benedictine game. If Benedictine wins Mansfield will play at Parma Padua Franciscan. If Hoban wins they will play at Bay Village Bay.
Ashland will be traveling to Columbus Mifflin.
