JT Barrett with a 89.3 ADJ QBR vs Penn State. They don't list his 4th quarter ADJ QBR but I bet it was 100.0. That's what a Top 10 QB does vs a quality opponent. Great job JT Barrett.

You aren't going to whine about only one of his 16 pass completions in a row being over 20 yards?? You aren't going to gritch that only 1 of his 4 TD passes were longer than 16 yards???

J....T....BARRETT!!!!!!!!
OUTSTANDING!!!!
33-39 for 328 YARDS!!!!
4 touchdowns and 16 completed passes in a row!
(Perhaps the most prolific passing performance in a big game of this magnitude in Ohio State history.)
3 of his incomplete passes were dropped

Urban said it is the greatest QB performance in his entire coaching career. He said it was as near perfection as one could possibly expect, then added that there were four catchable, dropped balls.
I think the coaching staff has found quite a few answers today in a number of areas, but special teams still remains a project.

The God Father Part IV
His coaches trust him implicitly. He has the intellect, leadership and mettle. Records matter. Somehow they matter less for him. It's hard to understand why. He has helped keep any poison out of his teammate's bodies. He's been the guy that keeps his team from eating itself in a crisis. The Distributor shares the credit and swallows the blame. He drinks the poison to save his team from it. Say that sentence out loud. Listen to it. He'll never be perfect enough. Ohio State's opponents all know. Penn State knows it's him. He broke their hearts.

'Big Ten Offensive Player of the Week' goes to J.T. Barrett, his 9th such award, tying him with Ron Dayne and Denard Robinson.
Somehow, I think there is another BTOPW in him this year.

I wonder how many offensive tackles have received that award? Or centers who have played extremely well in big wins? Don't ask me to define a big win.

I wonder how many offensive tackles have received that award? Or centers who have played extremely well in big wins? Don't ask me to define a big win. Always a good question. The guys in the trenches just punch the time clock everyday, do their job and get little recognition. I'm sure the backfield personel and coaches convey their appreciation on a regular basis, but don't expect anything from the conference office.

The highest offensive tackles in the Heisman voting were John Hicks 3rd in 1973 and Orlando Pace 4th in 1996. In 1996 Danny Wuerffell QB from Florida won the Heisman and was drafted in the 4th round, 2nd was Troy Davis RB from Iowa State taken in the 3rd round. 3rd was Jake Plummer QB Arizona State taken in the 2nd Round. Orlando Pace was the #1 overall pick in that draft. None of the other 3 had any where near the NFL career Pace had.
