Two of the main things leading their resurgence this year… 1. The step up in level of play by Gayle and Thornton. They have improved so much and it’s showing. 2. The addition of Jamison Battle, he might be the most valuable addition to any team in the Big Ten. His 3 point shooting and just overall play has been such a huge help.

Not a huge basketball guy here, but you can see the value Battle adds just by watching a short while. He has been wicked on the threes so far tonight..

The Buckeyes have now lost two big ten games after blowing double digit leads in the second half of both games. We all know their January struggles the last several years so hopefully this doesn’t continue. Thornton and Gayle had their worst game of the season last night and couldn’t get anything to drop.

Indiana killed Bucks inside. Once the 3well dried up there was no hope. Would be interesting to see Holtman's road record in the B!G. Cant be over 500.

If they don’t blow the two leads, they’d be 4-0 and in first place in the big ten. Gotta learn to hold on to those leads and close those games.

Had a big rebounding edge but somehow that didn't translate into close-in points. As a complete aside, everyone's assumes Day is on the hot seat but I think Holtman's perch is hotter. In any case the new AD is gonna have alot of issues in the two money maker sports to ADDRESS IMO.

I’m officially on the Fire Holtmann brigade. I’m done with the excuses of this person didn’t shoot good or we didn’t do this right, etc. I watch every single game and am just done with the mediocrity. We’re now 2-4 in the Big Ten and on the way to finishing at the bottom once again. Time for change.

Yuck. Lost to a terrible Michigan team. This team isn’t good. Holtmann is on the hot seat.

scUM may be terrible -- but under Holtman, OSU is worse. Give us a parting gift Gene Smith, ship Holtman back to wherever he came from.

shooting % is just killing us recently .
The things that concern me are the dead spots on the roster. Got 3 guys on scholarship who can’t sniff the court.
Clearly some issues since the 2nd half of Penn St. i wanna see the 1st half of that game tram again. They have been mia .

Have we decided it is the play calling or the recruiting is the bigger issue?

Etzler would struggle in the MAC.

Wondering if the kid from OG is Kyle Young 2.0 or just a taller version of a really good kid from a small town who should have gone to Toledo or BG

The kid from OG is not Kyle Young So you’re saying he’s better or worse than Kyle Young?

The kid from OG is not Kyle Young So you’re saying he’s better or worse than Kyle Young? I just mean they are not the same player and will not bring the same play to the buckeyes. Kyle Young was a 6'8" 220 pound small forward with a power game and could shoot the college three. He played for a large D1 high school that won a state title. Colin White is listed as a 6'6" and 180 pounds guard that plays for a very good D3 school that dominates that level. I hope he does not turn out to be another Etzler or Hardman for the Buckeyes.

A fair comparison would be to look at Youngs hs size.
Once White gets to college he’ll bulk up some i’m sure.
Regarding OSU, i stand by what i told some people,,,if CH doesn’t get to the tourney and win at least one game,,,this new AD will part ways.

A fair comparison would be to look at Youngs hs size. Once White gets to college he’ll bulk up some i’m sure. In hs Young was listed at 6'7" and 205 with a frame of a small forward or tight end. Watching him play for s state final I think was pretty legit. White is listed at 6'6" and 180 with the frame of a guard or tall receiver. He is closer to Etzler's build then Young's. Future growth and development is a major unknown.

There’s no way Holtmann is the coach next year, right? They haven’t won a road big ten game since January 1st, 2023. And get blown out tonight. Just wasting talent. Year 7 of Holtmann and hopefully we don’t see year 8.

Dale Bonner has been horrible for way too long, Chatman needs to start getting some of his minutes. And Gayle has disappeared ever since his big game against West Virginia.
