Maryland out- muscled OSU for most of the game. While better than many gave them credit for, Maryland is far from PSU or SCUM. Being pushed around and bullied does not bode well for down the road Yes, the running backs from MD averaged about 3.5 yards a carry. Without the MD turnovers, it would have been a much closer game (I think). I think Ohio State better abandon the run game against Penn State or it won't be pretty. Also, we better hope for good weather to maximize the passing game. Lou Holtz might have been right.

Arizona has a big streak to uphold: Every single team that has ever eliminated the Milwaukee Brewers from the postseason has appeared in the World Series That was a good start

Has there ever been this much conversation on this site about a game that is still a over month away and may not even happen? Maybe the tournament hoops game between Bellevue and Willard in 1980?

Let's hope Allen and Mobley have been working on their strength and Mobley his 3 point shot. If Mobley takes the next step I think the Cavs can win a round or 2 in the Playoffs. Assuming the Celtics and Bucks have some key injuries.

The only teams with higher over/under wins are Suns, Bucks, Nuggets and Celtics. The Cavs are higher than the Lakers, Sixers, Warriors, Heat and Knicks. At least Vegas likes them. Hopefully Mobley and Allen have each taken a large step forward.

I'm not sure we saw the same game. I saw the Buckeye defense get ran over in the 2nd half. 4.5 yards per rush is unacceptable. If you take away the Henderson 61 yard gain then the Buckeyes had 65 yards on 26 attempts for an average of 2.5 yards per carry. That's not acceptable. So even though Ryan Day says the Bucks are tough, the rushing and rush defense numbers don't validate the comment. I hope they get better. I have read some things about the substitutions on the defensive side of the ball and the starters getting worn down in the second half, which led to some of those long ND drives. JT and Sawyer literally played every snap at DE and only 3 DT’s played significant snaps in the middle. I think that’s a huge mistake by the coaches and not keeping them fresh. No idea why Curry and Jackson couldn’t have seen at least a few snaps at DE. That's good to know. I did not notice that during the game. You gotta keep those guys fresh (especially with the holes being opened by the ND OL). I thought we looked almost undersized in the middle but I think the listed sizes for the DTs are okay.

I also have to say coach Day was fired up at the end of this game with some people referring to the Buckeyes as soft. Not every college team has gotten to play the end of year slate the buckeyes have the last few seasons and I wouldn’t use the term soft by any means. I’m also very intrigued by this defense now. They might be what lead this team and god have I been waiting for a legit silver bullet crew to be back in action. I'm not sure we saw the same game. ND controlled the ball since we could not stop the run. Penn State plays like ND only looks a little more athletic. I'm worried about the 10/21 game but luckily it's home.

What schools are you referring to? Vanlue. SMCC. St. Joe. New London. A few others who struggle to even get 20 out for football that's not enough for a conference.

I think there’s a number of schools who should or need to go to 8 man but when pride gets in the way, you’ll stay with it till it’s to late. What schools are you referring to?

Is the jury still out on the Perkins punter. I don’t believe I saw him last night but I left at halftime. I assume Bellevue won the battle of the bands. Excellent flag show!

Bellevue 26 Norwalk 0 Final LaPata got injured during the opening kickoff and did not play the rest of the game. Well that's not good. I assume we will need him against Perkins.

The Eagles have impressed me a lot this year along with Vermilion. The QB (Benford?) is really fast and the RB (Roeder) runs hard too. the OL is pretty big. They only throw it when they have to. I'm not sure about the defense. They had trouble stopping AC but didn't give up very many big plays.

How much did Crestview lose from last years team? They lost quite a bit. They start a sophomore QB and RB. They lost Owen Barker NW Ohio DVI DE and TE. I'm not sure about the other linemen. The defense looks a lot slower than LY. Tyson Ringler is a really good receiver. I think he's a junior. I think this year is kind of a rebuilding year. Next year they should be better. I think they will be good in basketball this winter as they only lost 2 starters.
