Galion, how about 10 kids with speed, an offensive line that averages 250, and an above average QB? Mostof their speed is on defense, flying to the ball. The Tygers have no illusions of "playing"with the big dogs, like TCC, T-M, etc. . but maybe for 2 games they can compete.

First meeting between the Rockets and the Tygers. Bay is mostly a ground and pound while the Tygers are more 60/40 run/pass. Has Bay played anyone this year with the speed of the Tygers? Should be a great game!
DP says Bay +7 I disagree!

Just asking, but what would Clear Fork's record be this year if they were still in the OCC? Great season Colts!! Would love to see a week 13 regional final game at Arlin between CF and Shelby.

New leadership for the Tygers will hopefully bring success. Coaching is more than 50% of a program's success and Balogh has been the major reason for the Warriors winning ways, as was Collins during his tenure. On the other note, Campbell along with Kyle Jackson definitely makes Madison a contender. Good luck to all area teams on the hardwood this year. They do still only play five at a time don't they? You don't get an extra player for being bigger? If you would have seen the Senior/St Petes game, you would know that the players didn't lose the game.

Hmm..... looking ahead at a possible week 13 matchup between the unbeaten Shelby and Clear Fork. Where could they possibly play that would be equal distance for them??? Arlin Field would be rocking!!!! All of Richland and surrounding counties might be at that one! Just thinking ahead.

Just looking at the week 9 AP Poll and 5 of the top 10 teams in Division 3 are in Region 10, along with Senior. (Provided they beat Madison Friday night). Tough sledding ahead!

Possible but not likely. Padua has tough game with NDCL. TCC has St John's, a team that beat Senior in game 3, albeit without Tyger QB for most of the game.

78% chance of playing Parma Padua in first round of playoffs. Either way, tough game on the road. Looks like Glenville at TCC.

Any chance that Stover can come back? From what I have heard is that Stover is done until basketball season. As well as he should be. No need to risk any further injury with such a bright future and Coach G know that.

It's Thursday morning , so it is time for some in-depth analysis for this week's games in the OCC! Good luck to Clear Fork and Orrville this week. We can still cheer for former league members. Ashland at West Holmes - The Arrows are on a roll and trying to get a home game in the playoffs. Will the Knights slow Armitage to Langston? Nope! WH gets a garbage time TD as the Arrows roll 49-14. Mansfield Sr at Mt Vernon - Tygers are also trying to keep their playoff hopes alive as they travel to Bee Country. Mt Vernon has played well at home so this should be a close game. Tygers need to shore up their pass defense from the last 2 weeks or it could be an upset in the making. Manns scores 3 more TDs and the Tygers eke out a 34-28 victory. Wooster and Canton CC. - Defending Div 5 state champs having a rough season but will play the Generals tough. Are the player's heads still on the gridiron, or have the basketballs started bouncing in their heads? Tough game but Generals prevail 31-24 Game of the Week Lexington at Madison - Lex gave up 40 at home to Ashland last week and Madison gave up 62 to Mt Vernon. First team to 40 wins? Madison D showing no resistance but Lex O not showing up since Stover's injury. Madison's last and best chance for a win this year on Senior Night. Upset on Esley Lane!!!! Madison 21- Lexington 14 Good luck to all teams!!

Game of the Week Lexington at Madison Will Stover play? Can the Rams get off the schneid? schnide? Will Joe Jakubick be counting down the number of times Mason Campbell gets hit? Inquiring minds want to know!!!

Drew Pasteur says: Ashland +22 Mt Vernon +21 West Holmes +22 Mansfield Sr +6
Ashland at Lexington - Coach V won't let his players have a letdown after last week's big win, so Lex corners will be busy. Running clock 2nd half Ashland 54 Lex 14 (PS Coach V, go get a soccer player for kicking, you will need it in playoffs)
Madison at Mt Vernon - The Yellow Jackets will take out their frustrations on the gritty, but outflanked Rams this week. Maybe Ashland or Senior could trade for Kyle Jackson. Who doesn't need another 6-6 receiver?? Mt Vernon 42-14
West Holmes and RiverView - Annually one of the worst teams in the state, the Black Bears?? get to lose to the high octane Knights 54-7.
Game of the Week Mansfield at Wooster - Will the Tygers still be reeling from their 4th quarter meltdown last week or will they rebound and keep their slim hopes alive for the OCC? Better yet, a place in the Div 3 State Catholic Playoffs? Wooster has dominated the 4 OCC games they've played, but none of them were called Arrows or Tygers. Still it's been a good comeback for the Generals after an 0-3 start. In a mild upset, Wooster 38-34

Great win by Ashland last night. They took advantage of their superior matchups and Senior made no adjustments. 3 other things: 1. It was 25-20 heading into the 4th quarter. Senior had their chances but kept dropping passes that hit their hands. 2. Armitage is a great QB. He throws the deep pass as well as anyone I've seen in a long time. 3. Senior becomes Ashland's best friend next week at the undefeated (in OCC) Wooster Generals. Someone said it right. How will the Tygers bounce back after the defeat? Should be a good game.

Week 7 in the OCC
Hopefully the rain quits before 7pm!!
This week's games
Mt Vernon at Wooster - The Yellow Jackets were reminded why they left the other OCC last week while the Generals whipped up on the Knights. In reality, Wooster is in first place, with it's 3-0 conference record. The Generals keep it going 28-14.
Lexington at West Holmes - Okay, I was dead wrong about the Knights last week. Here come the Minutemen to the Land of Switzerland, sharing the same 1-5 record. I'm going to go with Big Lex in a squeaker, 20-14.
Columbus St. Charles at Madison - a pair of winless teams (actually St C won last week but later forfeited). In a game that really doesn't matter much St C 35-14
Game of the Week
Ashland at Senior - Both teams come in at 5-1. Don't expect this game to be over before 10 pm. Senior won last year 45-42 although the Arrows scored It might be which team has the ball last. Tygers win 41-38.

Wow! Let's hear it for the first place Wooster Generals!!! 55-20 at W Holmes. Generals all alone in 1st at 3-0 in OCC. Ashland and Senior only 2-0. 3 team round robin starts next week among the leaders.

Week 6 has arrived in the OCC and unlike last Friday's sweatfests, Autumn should be back for this week.
Ashland entertains the Madison Rams this week and the fans should be able to pickup their Dor-Lo pizzas by 915 due to a running clock in the 2nd half. The Arrows get to rest their players for next week's showdown with MSr. Ashland 49-14
Mansfield Senior travels to Lexington for a dangerous game vs the Minutemen. Lex always plays better at home and they let the grass grow for 3 weeks! Tygers in a squeaker 35-28
Mt Vernon at Hilliard Darby The Yellow Jackets get the non-conf game this week vs a former OCC (that other conference)team. Mt Vernon actually led Ashland in the 4th quarter last week but couldn't hang on. Darby O'Gill and the little people run to a 34-21 victory
Game of the Week - Wooster at West Holmes Wooster, winners of their last 2 travel to Amish Country, winners of their last 1, for a game that should be decided in the 4th quarter. In a mild upset, a Yoder kicks the game-winning FG for the Knights 24-21.
