Am I wrong, or does the multiplier only apply to student-athletes that come from outside the "designated" home school district? Wouldn't anyone from th eMCS be not counted as a multiplier? Just asking.

5 starters from St.Pete's are 2 from Senior that didn't like current coach, a kid from Madison, coach's son, and not sure about Gurski. It's not like these kids came from Ashland, Shelby, Wooster, etc.

How ironic would it be if CF was the last one standing??

Jayrese Williams is the real deal, but more impressed with Keith Williams on his ability to penetrate and shoot or find the open man. Lex will have to find someone to knock down the foul line jumper or Stover won't see the ball all night. Too much athleticism, I'll take Sandusky 58-49.

Looking forward to 2 good games tonight at Pete Henry. Should be a nice crowd for both games. It will be a split session tonight. Reminder that the District Final game is Saturday at 2PM.

OCC now 0-5 as Ashland and Madison go down tonight. The remaining 3, Clear Fork, Lexington, and Wooster all favored in their games.

The OCC is o-3 in tournament action so far as W Holmes, Mt Vernon and Mansfield Sr have all been eliminated. Clear Fork, Wooster have winnable games, while Lex, Ashland and Madison are tossups. Good luck to the remaining teams.

Senior closes out the regular season at 6-16 with a 69-50 loss to a very talented Lima Sr tonight. Tygers open D1 tournament Monday, Feb. 27 at Toledo Central Catholic HS vs Sylvania Northview. Game time is 7pm.

Was there no representative from Senior there? I would think that Hilory would be at least 2nd team.

How ironic for Shelby that their farthest trip on the road to State is in sectionals. (Monroeville). Should be a great district, and Senior High just got the D2 Girls Regional.

Has there been anymore discussion about Wooster and West Holmes going in with Louisville, Marlington, Dover, New Philly, maybe Canton CC and Idle talk or what?

malabar10, all this talk about large D1 schools when your school appears to be on a path to division 2 next season. Yes, D3 in football and D2 in everything else. The glory days are gone! Next year they will be the 5th largest team in the OCC and falling fast. Graduating class will be +/- 160. A far cry from when Senior was 450 and Malabar was 290.

Lighten up. I'm bored this afternoon and just found something to do. Of course, I took my ramblings with a grain of salt. Although the duplication of administrations and I moved to the suburbs for a reason take a back seat to the local control and complacency. BTW, Rich S would be the 5th largest school in the state and Rich N would be the 10th largest. DeVos will make us one big Christian Charter school anyway!!

I say this game will either catapult them to #1 or could drop them out of the top 10. Not seen them play much but they are a good team but may not be a top D1 team in the state. Last year at Wooster, Jackson won 102-93. Most players back from last year. Should be another track meet.

Terrible league. With fan support in todays age, we could play those games in JH gyms because no one would travel. I agree. It's just for fun, but there would be some pretty good teams.

Was fooling around with the "revised" numbers that the OHSAA put out for schools in Richland County. Using Park Ave (hypothetically)
Richland North HS - 963 Boys 902 girls
Richland South HS - 1078 Boys 980 Girls
2 good sized D1 schools! Just wondering!
North - Plymouth, Shelby, Crestview, and half of Ontario, Senior and Madison South - Lexington, Lucas, Clear Fork, and half of Ontario, Senior, and Madison

This is what the OHSAA currently has for each school's enrollment for the next 2 years. This does not include any multiplier that might be applied between now and the finalization on Apr. 6th. I only did schools in the Mansfield area or conference.
Mt. Vernon Boys - 431 Girls - 377 Wooster Boys - 429 Girls - 353 Marion Hard. Boys - 372 Girls - 371 Madison Boys - 369 Girls - 324 Ashland Boys - 351 Girls - 364 Dover Boys - 339 Girls - 278 New Phila Boys - 334 Girls - 278 Mansfield Sr Boys - 332 Girls - 285 Lexington Boys - 276 Girls - 275 West Holmes Boys - 257 Girls - 280 Ontario Boys - 220 Girls - 205 Shelby Boys - 196 Girls - 198 Clear Fork Boys - 195 Girls - 179
Looks like Senior drops to d-3 in football and d-2 in everything else. Madison is currently above the cutline for d-2 in football.

The top 3 SBC teams didn't play undefeated DI Wooster once OR twice, didn't play DI Ashland who beat Sandusky once OR twice, didn't play Lexington once OR twice, didn't play Madison who beat Lexington once OR twice, didn't play Sandusky twice, didn't play the #2 DIV team in the State. Only one of the top 3 SBC teams came far enough south to play Shelby or Ontario. No mention of having to play Mansfield Senior once or twice. How far the mighty have fallen!!!

His seat should be on fire with some of the things he has done to the program. Keith Diebler was a finalist when Effie James got the job. He would only commit to coaching 2 years because of Jon.

Senior High looking to avoid being swept by the Colts since the 81-82 season. After losing to West Holmes AT HOME for the first time ever, it's a definite possibility.
