Is it true that members get medical and dental insurance? If so, sounds like that would be a good reason for some of these people to try and stay on the board for 15-20 years, or as long as they can.

Got it. Looks like: Aubrey Rose, Donna Cok, Lisa Bohach, Marsha Danhoff, Dave Lawrence, Richard Willoughby, Jody Tackett and Rod Cok.

Are we stating that a coach is taking a leave of absence and his position is not being filled and it will be waiting for him when he decides to return, highly unlikely, but that is what we are saying?

I'm hearing that there are a lot of people that are running for school board this time and it appears that we have went years without having these current members challenged for the seats that they were holding. I know it is obvious that the bullying issue is a huge topic in Willard but I'm curious if there are other issues going on that are making so many people want to run this term, at least 4-5 more people are running against them? I heard that there are 3 seats open and Danhoff and Bohach (spelling ??) are rerunning but not sure if Rod Cok was rerunning.

I'm not sure that the youth leader has the skills to be a coach at that level and I have never heard him say that was what he wanted to do. I know that he helps out a lot not only in basketball but also football with the youth programs and I don't think he has any kids in the youth program. He seems like an okay guy and he is passionate about wanting the best for the kids and the community, at least on the surface that is how it appears. He does a nice job running the youth football flag program and it seems organized and fair, at least when I was coaching he appeared to always want teams fair and well coached. He definitely will speak his mind but also likes to talk issues out. Not sure what the backstory is here between him and the previous coaches but obviously there were issues between the youth program director and the coaching staff. I would hate to see someone like him stop running the programs because I know he spends a lot of time in the gym working with these kids and on the football field. He told me he added a girls basketball program the last few years and they were up over 80 girls, boys are well over 120. If he leaves I hope someone steps in and continues to run these programs.
