^^^Huron looks to be in the drivers seat for the SBC Bay Division. Edison def has the most difficult schedule with two games left against really good teams. Will they get the games in today with the weather?

Looks like Monroeville just announced their new head coach, Tyler Nester. He has been on staff the last few years and is the wrestling coach as well.

I watched Bowerman from SE for the first time and I was very impressed. She has a motor that never stops and I have not seen a player more positive with her teammates and constantly talking on the floor. It was a real pleasure watching. Only thing I see is she fouls a lot, which hurts her time on the floor. A lot happen off of rebounds, but if she could have stayed on the floor I think she has 25-30 against Monroeville. Was also very impressed with the tall junior post player. Very tough with great footwork. I will go with SE over SP in the next round. Obviously go with BC over SE.

I would hate to be a AD and head coach right now trying to figure out the schedules to keep everyone happy. Trying to match up schedules with your conference opponents and keep as many non conference teams as you can will be difficult. All while trying to deal with the ever changing events every day and every minute. Kudos to everyone making it all work thus far this season. For the record I do not think Belleuve is dodging anyone on their schedule. Hopefully everyone stays healthy in the next month with the end of the season and into the tournament.

I noticed Bellevue has been taken off the schedule. We only have 7 remaining games, which will give us a total of 21. What gives? is Bellevue pulling a Michigan? I would guess they are trying to get all of their league games in, at the expense of non-league games.

Clyde JV had a player test positive after playing Columbian. Therefore, Columbian's games at Bowling Green and Norwalk are now freshmen and varsity only, beginning at 5:30 PM both nights. I have a dumb question; don't JV and Varsity players practice together? Their JV and Freshman practice together and their Varsity practices separate. They also travel to games separately.

Does anyone anticipate any coaching changes in the FC for 2021? The league seemed strong overall. Based on the board minutes from 12/14, Monroeville's coach has stepped down. He did a good job turning things around. Could an in house hire be the way to go? I think the Eagles have some talent coming back.

Huron falls to 4th this year? Yea, I'm not buying that either. Willard, Huron, and Margaretta are very close. PC would be a distant 4th in my opinion. If pollsters are heavily weighting returning letterman then I get it, but Huron had the best JV team (undefeated) in the area last year. They may be lacking varsity experience but they have some kids that can flat out play. With Margaretta's loss of Raifsnider, I look for Huron to be in the top 2. Hurons's JV team had one loss, but a very good team none the less.

Did the Firelands conference have a plan going into the season? Possibly letting the schools know if all of the games are not played then no conference champion would be crowned. This would have set the precedence for the year and each team would be aware of the guidelines set by the conference before the season and everyone would be on the same page. Did I see that the MOAC announced their schedule and championship guidelines at the beginning of the season?

I think it was a rough ending for Clyde and their team. They have fought injuries all year and with the recent passing of their assistant coach and on top of that playing 23 games in 65 days lead to the snowball affect towards the end of the year. Congratulations to PC tho, coach Hicks has the program pointing in the right direction.

Bellevue JV knocks off Sandusky last night at the buzzer, their record 12-10. Clyde with an OT win over Perkins after being down 16 at one point. Sandusky doesnt have a twitter account, anybody know what their overall record and SBC record would be?
Norwalk 13-9 Bellevue 12-10 Clyde 16-6
Bay Huron 19-1

I am really surprised WR score with Edison. Did Edison press or something that allowed WR to score 104 points, or just turnover city in the half court?

I'm thinking they are hoping that the young Santoro will turn things around with his enthusiasm and his ability to get kids to buy into the program and implement things that have worked at the college level and things that have worked at Bellevue.

Margaretta girls are very similar in that the 7th, 8th, JV, and Varsity all unbeaten in league play. It would be great from them to play all levels in one day and see how it goes. This would give both programs a quality game and would be fun to watch.

The Huron wheels nearly fell off at Clyde last night as well. This Huron team doesn't seem to like pressure. Threw the ball around in the 4th and didn't take advantage of 3 Clyde starters out for the game. Bobby James needs to regroup them this week in order to have them ready for Willard.
Also Tiger JV's lost for the first time all year. Freshman team has some JV quality players on it as well. Future looks bright for the Tigers.

They played this game last night with Willard coming out on top 48-42 over Rogers. Crawford had 22 for the Flashes.

Portwalk, did Norwalk have kids out against Ashland? Was a little surprised they struggled to score against Ashland.

Tiffin is an interesting team. I think they play down to their competition and def play harder against better teams. They were able to play right with Sandusky which not many teams have been able to do. They also were able to play well against Upper. Just a young team that can go through the motions against lesser teams.

TC just lost to Clyde as well. TC was down at one point by 17 and came back only to fall short at the buzzer. Willard shouldn't have a problem scoring but man Tiffin can get hot and 4 of their 5 starters can really shoot it. They also have a couple guys off the bench that give them lots of energy. Should be a great game for Willard.

Is the Mott kid going to be okay? Its so tough to see a kid battle back from an injury to have a set-back so early in the season is hard to watch. I watched the game but didn't see how it happened. Hoping for the best.

^^^ One also transferred to Bellevue as well. You add in the starting linebacker that was kicked off after week 8 and you have 5 starters that could have made an impact on this team. I think the sophomores stepped up and the players who were there were such a close knit group they truly played for each other and their community.

They lost their first game to Clear Fork, other than that I have no idea. They graduated an awesome senior class but their JV was very good and had a couple of good juniors that contributed last year.

I have heard he has had some offers. So odd that he has always played basketball and not football and then this year just the reverse. It's too bad because he is a solid player would have done many good things for Bellevue this year. Also seems like this year numbers are down in basketball all over the place with many teams not having freshman teams, Bellevue and Port Clinton are two of them that do not.
