The draw is next Sunday the 9th and records are due Wednesday so after this weekend we should have a pretty good idea how the seeding will go.

Margaretta 7th Grade 57- Clyde 15 Clyde 8th Grade 59- Margaretta 17
I don't think I've ever seen two lopsided scores like this before. Sometimes you will see a 20-25 point win either way but two 40 point games is something you don't see everyday. Margaretta 7th grade has a very nice group of kids.

Who is Clyde transfer ? Never heard about that ? ^^^7th Grade student, I think that situation goes beyond basketball and was somewhat school related.

The Edison Margaretta game doesn't surprise me at all, Edison played the day before at the Q and then I assume stayed for the Cavs game. Add school the next on top of a long day/night it was bound that Edison was going to struggle.

Just some of my thoughts. I think the 4 district representatives will be St. Pete's, CC, St. Paul, and a toss up between SC, MC, and SMCC. SMCC is the wildcard with the three additions to their team coming up. MC plays very well defensively and SC has some young kids who could make a lot of growth between now and tourney time. I think St. Petes and CC are locks with the other two spots up for grabs. I see St. Pete's going to the regional but CC giving them a really good game.

^^^^In the Clyde win, senior Seth Hohman had 35 points and 16 rebounds. I would say one of the better performances on the year so far.

Norwalk lost a big game to Perkins last night. Perkins big guy was the difference for them. Haraway had 27 for Norwalk most coming in the second half waited a little long to take over Not sure how Norwalk beat Clyde or nearly anyone without him though. Big win for the Pirates... Haraway was back for the Clyde game...man you need to start going to some games, or at least start reading the paper.

Friday Night, Clyde 41 Norwalk 30-Freshmen Norwalk 55 Clyde 43- JV
Saturday Night Clyde over Lexington in JV action 60-52. Clyde was down 13 in the first half I believe, played much better in the 2nd half. No Frosh game because of a wrestling tourney at Clyde.

PIB has two Booker brothers Jack(Jr) and Blake (FR) and they are very good, with Blake probably being one of the better freshmen in the area. He could play JV for most teams in the area and had 31 points. He plays for Northcoast Showtime AAU. Very nice kids and great family.

Clyde Frosh over PIB, 57-49. PIB has a great freshmen Blake Booker who scored a game high 31 points. He would be playing on a lot of JV teams in this area.

Don't be surprised in Norwalk's coach doesn't throw his hat in for the Margaretta job. Whoever does take over the program has a LOT of talent coming back with a young talent and their jh and elementary teams are loaded. It is also interesting to see if Tucker would be interested in the SE job which could be open at the end of the year. He wants to continue coaching and the SE program also has a lot of younger talent with a nice core group coming back.

On the topic of SOS, I look at UConn women and who they play, and about 20% of their season is spent playing top 15 teams in the country in their non-league games and they beat everyone in those match-ups. Then they go into the AAC and wax everyone by 30-50 points on a nightly basis. Do they suddenly become not as good because they don't play top of the line talent during the conference season...no because I think practice is where you become an elite team, playing against great talent in practice, having practice plans that challenge your team to become better and players who have the drive to get better on a daily basis. I think too much emphasis is put on SOS and not enough about good coaches and how they prepare their teams for the postseason.

The most points I remember is 123 when Monroeville beat Bettsville 123-87 in 2007 or 2008 I believe. Reer was running the Diebler style pressing and could score some points in the few years they ran it. Fun to watch.
