Do they sell the Toledo Blade in Clyde or surrounding communities? I'm not sure the Blade would cover them even at the state title game.

Having watched the Upper and Willard game, a couple take aways from what I saw... First the Baldridge kid is good!!! Handles the ball well, defends really well and rebounds everything. Needs to stay out of foul trouble but I don't see him coming off the floor much. The Parrott kid is also very good. I think the most impressive thing about him is his leadership, esp at the end of the game. Really communicated well and got everyone where they needed to be on the floor. An extension of the coach which all great teams must have to be successful. A couple things I did notice is Willard is NOT deep at all. Foul trouble could really hurt this team or 1 injury could really set this team back. I think the one post player, (30) had WAY too many turnovers and the kid off the bench did not hurt Willard at all. I could see their coach swapping those two by the end of the year and 5 getting more minutes than number 30. Upper did some good things but does not have the depth to really press like they used to. Also was surprised they didnt foul number 10 at the end of the game. It was a great high school basketball game and really look forward to seeing how these two do this season.

I think that's what sets Clyde's coaching staff apart from many others in our area...the kids continue to improve as much as anyone could imagine. I too was at both of their scrimmages and I honestly thought a 3-7 type of season was in store. Kudos to the kids for continuing to work hard and the coaching staff to push them each week to get better.

I would love to see time of possession in this game, 63-43 in plays run, offensive line dominated.

Both teams around 5-16 from the line, shooting background isn’t quite the same as the cozy gyms we play in around here.

I think the whole Clyde coaching staff deserves a lot of credit. The defensive line was questionable coming into the season, and they have plugged in 3 sophomores to go along with their 2 seniors and have done very well. Defensively the staff has done a great job making adjustments at halftime against two running quarterbacks which Clyde tends to struggle with. They also shut down Bellevue QB in week 10. Offensively getting the ball into Rieman's hands as much as possible and then using clock with Golden and Lozier. You can tell the team has bought in and are playing for each other.

Media members vote and give a team they think will finish 1st 8 points and the team they think will finish last will only get one point. The higher the points the higher the team will finish in the standings according to the media.

So only 5 members of the media voted? Why don't they just stop this nonsense. It doesn't do anything but get people angry. In the Lake half the teams don't have all of their players yet.

Thats not good for other SBC teams, or any team for that matter. Could be a real special year for the Redman.

I am going to tell you Tiffin will have a say in the conference, I think they are going to surprise a lot of people this year with a really good freshman making an immediate impact and a few transfers who will also see major minutes. They could give Sandusky trouble as they will be very athletic. I will still go with Sandusky with Tahj as he is so good and so smooth, not to mention Jones and Simpson as really good options to score for them as well.

I think the folks who give Clyde the advantage feel as if their schedule has prepared them. Close losses to Tiffin (7), Norwalk (1 in OT), St. Francis (2) and outplaying Sandusky despite the 2 scores given up on the offensive end gives them the advantage against Keystone. But 4 losses is still 4 losses so maybe you are correct about your thoughts. Would like to hear your opinion why you don't feel like they can win.

Any chance they bring in more stands for the game? Clyde usually travels well and the visitors side seems awfully small. Will have to get there plenty early to get a seat.

SBC 95, Clyde AD must have really pi$$ed in your cereal. Every Clyde thread you come on and bash someone from there, or the team. You need to move on man, you are living a cranky life and spilling your grievances towards the school district on a high school sports site.

We can agree to disagree, I have watched a ton of Norwalk film, their defense is so good, yes the number of possessions help those numbers but when you break down the film his teams are always in the correct spots, great close outs, help side, rotations, ect... He and his staff know how to coach them up.

Norwalk might struggle to score at times, but nobody plays better defense that Steve's teams do. They are so fundamentally sound that they can stay in every game they play. I look for Lacy and Chapin to get a lot of touches. Will be a fun game to watch with two great teams.

Oak Harbor with two transfers that will def help their basketball season next year and they will eligible right away. Thats three transfers in the last two year for the Rockets. Should make them Willards number one competition for Willard next season.

It was announced today that PC's Week 5 opponent, VASJ, hired Elvis Grbac of UM/NFL fame. Grbac was QB Coach at St. Ignatius past few years. Interesting move that PC dropped Clyde and picked up VASJ??? I guess I don't get that move, its not like PC is a slouch anymore.
