Corey Coleman - out with a broken hand he sustained in practice today.
As my husband - the Browns fan in the family says . . . "there's always next year!"

It was an awesome catch - almost feel sorry for that defender - almost.
Great half - now just continue the momentum and finish the second half.

difference schmifference he looks like a legit QB prospect to me and one we shouldn't have passed on for RGIII I'm not saying he isn't a legit prospect. I'm just saying that one game - against the Browns - isn't necessarily a good indicator. And even if he is a good QB - without a line to protect him, or receivers to make the catches consistently, then he still won't help the Browns.

Anyone tell me again why we didn't draft Carson Wentz? I'm not sure Carson Wentz would have made a difference. The Browns defense will make any quarterback look good - too many holes. Then even if they did draft Wentz? Could the offensive line protect him?

It does appear they moved seating in closer on the track. I see a lot of people in the crowd watching on their phones!

The poor Tulsa QB is going to want to burn every copy of the game film. He just couldn't get a break today.
OSU defense again was stellar! Outscoring the offense in the first half! Glad to see things start clicking for the offense in the second half. Samuel is something special!

Take your binoculars. Do not try to watch the game through them - you'll miss too much of the action. But before the game and during time-outs - we loved "sight-seeing" with the binoculars. We'd follow Brutus, check out the loge area, zoom in on the huddles or the band. There is just so much to see and take in - no matter where you sit!
Parking Tip . . . We would always park near the fairgrounds and ride the shuttle in for $1 or $2. I'm not sure if they are still doing that - but it gets you in and out without having to fight the traffic. Also, you can get there early enough to make your way around the previously mentioned spots.

Bellevue's course is different in the aspect that it is basically a 1 mile loop that the kids run 3 times.
Yes, there are parts that are close to the street, but they try to mark the course in the grass above the sidewalk (away from the street).
The parking lots pose the biggest obstacle as you have to make sure there are people available to stop traffic as the kids cross in a couple different positions.
This is not unheard of - as Tiffin and Ontario both have areas where they run across the street within their park.
Also - Sandusky's course at Osborne Park takes them across a street.

They also have video footage of the swimmer's returning to the Olympic Village. At that time it "appeared" they were in possession of their wallets & phones - which they claimed had been stolen.
This whole incident is a giant cluster.
Four people know the truth - I'm not sure we will.

It is a bizarre situation. Heard last night that they pulled one of the American swimmers off his flight before it left. Lochte was already in the air on his way home, and the other two swimmers were detained before they could leave for their flights home.

So Rio has not been a safe Olympic zone for the athletes, coaches, trainers, etc.
Ryan Lochte was held up early Sunday morning at gunpoint, along with 3 other U.S. swimmers after men posing as police officers pulled their cab over. Fortunately, no one was hurt, but reports have come in from others that have been robbed or mugged, etc. Apparently two separate incidents of stray bullets entering the equestrian compound have been reported. The Rio police and IOC have not wanted these incidents publicized. In fact when asked about the Lochte incident - officials initially denied stating no report had been filed. Later it was deemed their denial was incorrect.

American Michelle Carter beat out the defending gold medalist (and favored) to win the women's shot put - 20.63 m (67+ feet)! She is the first American woman to win gold in the shot put.
Interesting fact . . . her father is Michael Carter who played for the 49ers. In high school, 1979 he set the American national high school record of 81 feet 3½ inches in the 12 pound shot put - still stands today. He won a silver medal in the LA Olympics, becoming the first American athlete to win both the Superbowl and an Olympic medal in the same year.
Michael is her coach and they are now the only father-daughter duo from Team USA to win medals in the Olympics.

Oh Wilmington - different conference - but we played them in women's basketball back in the early 90's. A Tuesday night game - the drive was horrible by bus; their team was not great, and we were having a good season. Unfortunately, someone forgot to tell their fans that the "n" word was no longer politically correct. They got under our skins and we ended up losing. Our coach was so angry . . .
She wouldn't let the bus driver stop on the way home for our "dinner." When we arrived on campus at 2:30 in the morning - everything was closed.
And we had to be up at 6 for drills (as punishment) before our first classes.
We turned around that weekend to make a return trip south to Wittenburg. As I remember - the memory of Tuesday night inspired us. We were allowed to stop for dinner on our way home after Witt.

Phelps was unbelievable! And to come back later that night to anchor the 4x200 freestyle for his 21st gold! A tremendous showing!
The women's gymnastic team, "the Final Five," is sending Marta off into retirement in style! Once again hitting scores so that the other countries couldn't get close. Going into the last floor routine - Simone had to score no less than a 7.3 to win gold! She better than doubled that score! The girls just make it seem so effortless.
Can't wait until the track & field events start up! Hopefully they continue to build off this week's successes!

Unbelievable grit and determination shown by the British gymnast, Ellie Downie. She took a very awkward tumble during her floor routine - landing on her head and neck. She immediately got up to continue performing. After a few moves, she walked to the corner of the mat holding and shaking her head - knowing that she could not finish. She was immediately treated and helped out to the training room. Her sister is one of her teammates and was visibly shaken watching. Then Ellie returned during the vault competition to compete, as she is the anchor for her team. She completed 1 warm-up and 2 vaults, leading Britain to a 4th place team placement going into the finals.

Oksana Chusovitina is a 41 year old gymnast competing in her 7th Olympic games for Uzbekistan in the vault! She won gold in Barcelona and then a silver medal in the vault in Beijing. She may attempt the "vault of death" (the Produnova) in the finals. It is a move that many in the sport want banned due to its danger.
She also attempted the beam - but failed to make the finals.
Wow!
