What an encouraging first half - Cleveland CAN play in Toronto! Exciting - both teams are in it.
Now the Cavs need to come out strong and put them away this second half.

So thankful that the Cavs showed up to play tonight! What a difference! I just love Jefferson - what a gritty player!

Draymond Green should be and better be Suspended. Twice, a cheap shot to a players groin. Dahntay Jones was suspended for 1 game for his blow to Biyombo which IMO I thought was accidental. I agree that Jones' shot was accidental. We watched that clip over and over and at no time did I see it as a purposeful act. The arm swing was a result of getting knocked back by another player. His arm was out for balance. He received a one game suspension, and $80.17 fine, which LeBron James says he will pay. Green's foul was upgraded from a flagrant foul 1 to a flagrant foul 2, with a $25,000 fine attached. Green now has three flagrant foul points this postseason. One more would result in an automatic suspension. I can only hope!

It looked like the Raptors took a page out of the Cavs playbook - feed/drive inside and then pop the ball out for an outside shot.
The Raptors seemed much more patient and allowed things to happen - rather than force it like they did the first two games.
Didn't help that the shooting wasn't as hot for the Cavs as it had been.

A cold, muddy mess at the NOL meet yesterday.
The following is taken from the Sandusky Register.
Ehrnsberger broke both NOL throws records and set a new personal-best length of 181-feet-3 inches in the discus.
“Going into that discus competition, it was a real muddy throwing area, so I couldn’t get a good grip on the disc at all. Every time I threw it, I didn’t have any spin on it at all, and I was only getting low 160s,” Ehrnsberger said. “Then finally, in the finals, my first throw was a real good throw but it was outside the line, so it was a foul. Second throw was when I posted that 181-3. Everything just felt good. I had a nice, smooth release … everything just went perfectly.”
He won the shot put with a 59'5". It wasn’t quite his personal-best toss, which was a 62-3 at the Jim Hauser Pirate Relays a week earlier on May 6 — but for the weather, he wasn’t complaining.
“The ring was wet and my throws weren’t looking too good. I started off throwing in the low 50s, and I thought going into the finals that may be as far as I’d throw,” Ehrnsberger said. “And then something clicked in my head and I thought,’You got a big throw in you. So go after it.’ I did and I popped out that 59-05, and I felt really good about that.”

He is a special kid! We got to watch him at the state meet last year and he has improved so much since then. Can't wait to see him down there again this year!

You make sense! Norwalk is at the Fremont Invitational tomorrow. Some very good throwers will be present. Interesting to see how kids are throwing at this point in the year. My daughter has had a rough couple weeks with fouling, so she's hoping to turn it around tomorrow. She needs to get those hips snapped around. Fingers crossed!

He is a very good thrower - I never know about posting names on here, so I didn't - as I was a spectator and don't personally know the kid. The boy from Sandusky St. Mary's is winning just about every invite in which he participates. 48 - 50 in the shot and 150's in the discus. Not bad for a little school.

I think next season could be very interesting. The last NOL title is up for grabs.
Norwalk girls will have to be considered - only losing 2 seniors to graduation.
Bellevue always has to be a consideration. Underdogs going into this season and rising up to share the conference title.
Shelby will be in the mix as well.
Willard - we'll have to wait and see if Coach Pfahl is back on the bench.
Ontario has a lot of talent returning. They ended the season so strongly.
Sandusky is always scrappy.
