I like it......lol Keep in mind, there are a devout group of flatlanders, who believe the world is flat. Well, a level works everywhere...right? Sports, It's working, Dr. Dude doesn't know what we are going to next to him. And as trying to use the level it's best to use a transit and plum for level ground. I think I still have my dads survey tools somewhere around the place. Not too many of us have a transit hanging on the garage wall. I do have a laser though. You don't have any dogs in your neighborhood, because you run em off. Chasing the neighborhood dogs is a risky hobby....lol

Bryson Shaw, a previous commit to Wisconsin, has flipped his commitment to the Buckeyes. Bryson is a 6-2 175 Safety from Potomac, Maryland. Looking at his highlight videos, think he might get a chance on the offensive side of the ball.

What a great acquisition! Growing up on a family farm, he has a strong work ethic and good values. His 6-4 225 frame has plenty of room for more muscle and bulk, Mickey Marotti will take care of that. If we get the nod from Garrett, it will be a huge weekend for Ohio State recruiting!

Big weekend for Ohio state football with the 3 commits plus the NFL draft was a big recruiting pitch with 7 Buckeyes being drafted.

Dude, Thanks for putting that video up of the Stover kid. He sure can make us farm boys proud of the work ethics we grew up with. Makes me wish that this old, old farm boy was back on the farm. Also did anybody notice Ronburgandy came out and saw his shadow. That must mean that warm, sunny weather is here finally.

Red shirt sophomore Wayne Davis is transferring from the Ohio State program. Wayne read the writing on the wall, considered at the bottom of the pecking order of 7 safeties. This gets the Buckeyes down to the roster requirement.

Urban Meyer and Greg Studrawa pulled off another surprise. Going deep into Georgia Bulldog territory (Buford, Ga.) and getting 6-4 310 4* OG Harry Miller This kid is yet another recruit with A+ character credentials. Prediction he will be a team captain before he finishes his Buckeye career.

Buckeyes look to be gobbling up some quality athletes!

Buckeyes look to be gobbling up some quality athletes! Yes they are, but this recruiting season has been rather unusual. Don't know if it's by design, but very slow to start and finally picking up some steam, hoping to crack the top ten list. QB is one perplexing area of concern losing out on the kid from Texas and only one QB in the 2018 class, who is a pro-style. They enter this season razor thin at the position, with little to no playing experience among any of the three.

Here's a young man we will have plenty of time to follow the next four years. 6-3 180, freshman to be, Quinn Ewers has been offered a scholarship to The Ohio State University. A rare offer from Urban Meyer. Quinn attended a recent OSU football camp and although, never having taken a single snap or thrown a single pass in high school football, he was the most impressive QB at the camp. Nothing like getting the inside track on a young talent.

Buckeyes come right out of the gate this year with two good games. Yeah yeah i know some say Oregon St., not a great game or even argue a good game, but to me its a good game. The boys will have to be on the fly right away.

Ohio State received it's 11th commitment of the slowly developing 2019 recruiting class. 6-4 212 3* 'athlete' Craig Young from Fort Wayne, Indiana. The Buckeyes have plans for him on the defensive side of the ball, possibly LB or DE.

Overall, this has been an odd recruiting year for Ohio State. So many near misses on top players at various positions and so many cases, where we revert to plan 'B' or plan 'C'. It's pretty certain this will not be a top 5 class, when all's said and done. What transpired last year, we landed some marquee, 5* players early on and that became the selling point to the rest of the class in pursuading players to join this elite class of athletes. Unfortunately, that scenario didn't unfold this recruiting season. At the heart of rising frustrations is the failure to secure a top rated QB that fits the system, in this class. There have been overtures to a hand full of previously committed players at other schools in an attempt of flipping them into a Buckeye uniform, but to no avail. After the last two, star studded classes, we were due for a year of a series of near misses, disappointments and frustrations.

Sportsjock,
I can't help agree with you, but the days where the top 10 guys in each position being light years better than everyone else is gone. I try to find solace in the fact that hopefully they guys we do get, turn out to be great and are the next big thing.
We have had some real barn burners in the past flop, so maybe while they are not 5-star guys, we get a crop that can play with and better than the aforementioned once in the buckeye system.

I agree, though this recruiting season won't be one of the more memorable we have had in recent history, one commonality of the kids we have gotten their verbal from, is they are all outstanding students, great attitudes and possess high moral character. In other words, very coachable. At this level, the term 'coaching up', as it pertains to 3, 4 and 5* athletes receives less emphasis and attention. That being said, I think we have a coaching staff that can coach the hell out our kids and have them ready to play at the highest level, come late August.

Time can't pass soon enough until autumn leaves and Carmen Ohio!!
I'm never against taking a high moral character prospect, you can count on them to be eligible, lawful, and at practice.
I am intrigued though to see how the way games this year. TCU, PSU, and MSU all away... That and I keep getting this feeling about Minnesota and Purdue, cant explain it, just a feeling.

Hey why would u wanna be a qb at osu if ur desire is to go pro? Or to sit behind a guy u r better than cause he is a senior?
This is the last place on Earth a hs kid with pro aspirations would come, and u guys like to sell this place on the nfl transition...true everywhere but qb. They see Tate Martell sit and are probably like well damn.

The TCU game was originally, a home and away schedule, but TCU pulled out and they compromised to play it at a 'neutral' site (in Arlington,Texas) a short 16 mile, 18 minute bus ride from their Ft. Worth campus. Another white-out in Happy Valley, both teams should be ranked in the top 4, nationally telecast, a win here is a strong ticket to the playoffs. MSU is on the road, but the Buckeyes should manage this one. Minnesota and Purdue's programs are both on an upward trend, the only way the Buckeyes stumble in either is another unexplained, Iowa anomaly. An undefeated regular season is a very real possibility. At the very least, they will be favored in every game they face this year. Ohio State schedule 2018
Sept. 1 Oregon State - Columbus, Ohio Sept. 8 Rutgers - Columbus, Ohio Sept. 15 TCU - Arlington, Texas Sept. 22 Tulane - Columbus, Ohio Sept. 29 Penn State - University Park, Pa. Oct. 6 Indiana - Columbus, Ohio Oct. 13 Minnesota - Columbus, Ohio Oct. 20 at Purdue West Lafayette, Ind. Oct. 27 Bye Off Nov. 3 Nebraska - Columbus, Ohio Nov. 10 at No. 16 Michigan State - East Lansing, Mich. Nov. 17 at Maryland College Park, Md. Nov. 24 Michigan - Columbus, Ohio Dec. 1 Big Ten championship - Indianapolis

Yup, Haskins is so dedicated, that his #1 goal for this season is to get out of town after 1 year as the starter. 12 wins should do it.

Well, FNL (Friday Night Lights) has come and gone. In the past, the event has generated a number of commitments in the following 24 hrs. This recruiting year continues to puzzle Buckeye followers and experts. Recruiting for the 2019 class started off at a snails pace and continues to plod along with low enthusiasm. After completing the greatest recruiting class in school history, no one expected this.

The lack of development may be tied to bad early evals which led to some bad takes. Harrison will be committing soon though. He’s fooling absolutely no one at Michigan or Penn State into thinking he’s going to leave Columbus.

Ohio state flipped 4 star QB Dwan Mathis from Michigan state. They also may be getting a commitment soon from Arizona QB Jack Miller for the next class. QB will be all set for years to come with Baldwin coming in as a freshman this fall too. Don’t worry sportsjock, we’ll be just fine

Urban takes an instate QB Harbaugh doesn’t want which in turn screws Sparty and sets their fans off. Win for me
