So long as Norwalk takes care of business this week against Sandusky they should be golden. They don't need help from Mansfield. TC, Sandusky, and Clyde are all on their schedule. If they can't win at least one of those games no amount of second level points from Mansfield is going to save them.

However, I was basing some of this on Pasteur's projection of Norwalk going 7-3 but still home playoff game. I have to think, though, his projection involved Mansfield beating Lex

Need points to do that.

Need to beat the good teams on your schedule to do that.

Only if Ashland doesn't stub its toe against West Holmes. At least the TC loss isn't looking quite so bad now.

Yea Ashland has a heck of a last 4 games. Mansfield Lexington @west Holmes @wooster
Don’t think Ashland will be thinking about Wooster for awhile.

Ashland should be a favorite in all of those games, but I get it, anything can happen. Same with Wooster.

It might but it's irrelevant to what Jake was saying. He was counting on Mansfield getting the win to help the Truckers.

Interesting that Mansfield's new qb seemed to play more effectively against Lex while at Ontario than he did playing for Sr. Maybe Hawkins is an offensive genius after all.

Senior should end up 4-6, with wins over Mt Vernon and Madison, while losing to Ashland and Wooster. Not quite what they had in mind at the start of the year.

Interesting that Mansfield's new qb seemed to play more effectively against Lex while at Ontario than he did playing for Sr. Maybe Hawkins is an offensive genius after all. Senior's head coach not only had us fooled about his team this year, but he fooled Cam's dad when he was recruiting him. To appease him he was quoted in the MNJ saying that Cam had a good game against Lex. He was 9 of 27 with 1 TD and 1 INT. He never had a game that bad at Ontario. Ontario's 5-6 140 QB had a better game against Lex this year.

Let's not forget it was his first game while everyone else has had 5 weeks of game time. His throws looked very effective, the catches were not.

This conference is getting pretty hard to predict. Is Mansfield Sr. getting better with their QB back? Or is he back?

They had some added motivation last night. Pretty impressive the things people will make up to get a team motivated. Good luck to Mansfield the rest of the year, hope they never win another game.

My son runs xc (not at Ashland) and they eat bananas all the time. So the xc team does a nice thing and now they're labeled as racist? Just shake my head sometimes.

I'm sure they didn't know the whole story and it exploded from there. I'm sure after reading the statement from the school, no reasonable person thought the xc team meant anything by it. If there were any comments made from the stands, however, those should be condemned.

Based on the story, it sounds like the XC team does this regularly for the visiting team. One of the mothers in the video said she had to explain to her son why they were treated unfairly? I think sometimes people try to make something out of nothing. I think several schools in the conference have a nice blend of race.
